After hearing Draco's thoughts, everyone couldn't sit still.
Chapter 61 Extra Ian and Draco
(This is actually the main story, but I'm worried that some people won't be able to accept Draco's contrast, so I'm releasing it as a side story.)
When Draco awoke, he found himself in a mysterious and vast starry sky. Brilliant stars, like gemstones, were embedded in the endless darkness, twinkling with a faint yet captivating light. He looked around blankly, having assumed Harry and the others had already made it.
But it seems that he has not woken up from the real world yet. He thought as he looked at his hands which were somewhat transparent and glowed with soft golden light.
The starry sky seemed endless, countless stars hanging in the sky like tiny lanterns, making one sigh at the vastness and depth of the universe. They slowly rotated, like countless pairs of eyes observing Draco.
The air around him was unusually fresh, with a hint of coolness. Draco took a deep breath, savoring the strange feeling brought by this unfamiliar environment. Under the shining starry sky, his figure seemed lonely and small.
He took a step, exploring with great interest. Although he couldn't see anything under his feet, the ground felt like a soft velvet carpet when Draco took a step. Draco knew that there was someone watching him all the time, and he didn't have to worry about his safety at all.
As he journeyed, Draco encountered some bizarre sights. Sometimes, he would see glowing spheres floating in the air, dancing lightly like elves; other times, he would encounter huge nebulae filled with colorful clouds, like a dream.
He was not panicked, he had already guessed where this place was, and he also knew why he was here.
"The world?" he said softly. He had a premonition that even if he just thought about it in his mind, the world would appear. He was confident of this.
"Draco!" A ball of white light appeared in front of Draco. Although one could not see his expression, one could feel the joy in his tone.
His voice was neither human nor female, like a child just learning to speak, and also like an old man giving earnest teachings.
But to Draco, the voice sounded more like his own.
"The world?" Draco looked at the white ball. It was fine, he couldn't see anything, except, "65 told me before that you were gray."
"Huh? Why are you saying all that?" Ian stopped jumping around, feeling a little embarrassed. "I didn't have much Essence before, but now, thanks to Xiaolong, I have a lot more! This is a skin I traded from another world. Do you think it looks good?"
I don’t know how he did it, but the small white ball suddenly and quickly changed into flowing blue.
"Wow, it's so beautiful, just like the sky." Draco exclaimed. When he was a child, he also wanted to change his hair to a unique color, but now, he still thinks his hair is the best and he cherishes it.
"Mr. World? Madam? Hmm, what should I call you?" He wanted to ask why he was suddenly dragged here, and where 65 was. Suddenly, he realized he didn't know how to address the world consciousness.
"Just call me Ian," Ian liked Draco. He had an inexplicable concern for Draco that he himself couldn't explain.
"I've been watching you since you were little~" Ian said it as a matter of course, not thinking there was anything wrong with what he said. Of course, Draco didn't think there was anything wrong with it either.
"Ian, isn't 65 with you?" Draco missed 65 very much and wondered how he was doing.
"65 is mending the gap. This is a rare opportunity and I've always wanted to see you, so I slipped in here when he wasn't paying attention. This is my home~ I've decorated it well, how is it? Doesn't it look good?" He even polished every star to make it shine.
"It looks very nice." Although Draco felt a little disappointed knowing that 65 was still busy, he still said it in a supportive manner.
They sat on the ground, or maybe in the air? There was no sense of strangeness at all.
"Xiaolong, why did you turn off the protection?" She seemed to be aware of his gaze and said in her heart that she didn't need any protection.
"Hmm? Well..." Draco held his chin carelessly, his hands resting on his knees. "For Harry."
"Harry?" Ian moved up and down in confusion. "I don't understand."
"Did you see that? The troll thing." A star popped up in front of Draco under his mind control. He changed his posture, sat cross-legged, and played with the little star in his hand.
"I saw it." Ian still didn't understand. He was so confused that his brain almost grew out of it.
"We grew up together, and I know him too well. He thought he was calm enough and strong enough to protect me."
"But oh, he's still insecure inside. He's still the kid who lived in the closet. He retreated." Draco was tired of playing and threw the star upwards, letting it return to the sky.
"His thinking wavered, and he doubted himself."
"That won't do. So, I thought, I have to make him see himself clearly. I need his protection, and what he does won't be meaningless or wrong. If others don't need him as a savior, I do. Isn't it enough for him to just keep an eye on me?"
Draco laughed, a genuinely happy laugh.
"My mom and dad love me, but they love each other more. My godfather loves me too, but he has something more in his heart, something more complicated. Many people love me, but I am not the most important one."
"Of course I don't mind. I've received so much love from my parents and godfather, and I'm very satisfied. I love them too."
"But Harry is different. I am the most important person in his world. He may like many people, but he only loves me. I am unique."
Draco was like a child showing off candy, filled with happiness. "Even if the world and I were standing on opposite sides of the tram, he would still firmly choose me~"
"So how could he doubt himself? So as long as I become a cursed sleeping princess, he will definitely become a hero, right? Or maybe a demon king? Anyway, his eyes will only be on me."
He knew what Quirrell was going to do, he knew it all the moment he looked into his eyes, so he turned off all his defensive gear and didn't resist.
After all, it was just a little Sleeping Beauty spell, and he could wake up anytime he wanted.
Everyone thought that the properties of his wand that made it suitable for the prophet to control death were a gift from the world.
In fact, he had it before he turned 65. It was a controllable power that could see through people's hearts and the future, and it was immortal. He was born with it, and he discovered this secret at the age of two.
He never pries into other people's thoughts. Everyone has their own secrets, and he's not one to pry into them. He also doesn't proactively look into the future. What's the point of life if he knows everything?
It wasn't until the day the Weasleys arrived that he realized something was amiss from the twins and Aunt Molly. Perhaps he had noticed it before but was just too lazy to investigate.
Then he discovered everyone's common secret.
He wasn't afraid when he knew everyone could hear what was in his heart. Didn't Malfoy always like to be the center of attention?
His inner voice, words, and actions all come from the heart, without any falsehood. He is not afraid of being heard.
He is cold, kind and gentle, seemingly innocent but with every possible plan.
"I didn't lie in front of the Mirror of Erised. I only saw myself. But I'm not without a wish."
"I want all my loved ones to be together forever. Ian knows that I will never die. In a sense, I am immortal. However, not everyone pursues immortality. What if they gradually get tired of the long journey?"
"If I were alone, I would go crazy from loneliness."
"I've always gotten what I wanted, so I think this time will be no different. I deserve a unique treasure that will stay with me forever."
"Xiao Long is like a love-devouring monster," Ian commented. He didn't think there was anything wrong with Xiao Long being like this, or perhaps he didn't have a secular sense of good and evil, so this was just a common description. "Is Harry the treasure you found?"
"Yes, although he is still immature, it doesn't matter, because he,"
"Forever mine."
Draco smiled sweetly. He didn't think there was anything wrong with what he said. He was a very contradictory person.
He can speak heartwarming words and smile innocently, but he can also be a cold-eyed spectator. His inner goodness and evil are determined entirely by his own thoughts and are unaffected by any external factors.
This contradiction seems to be another quality he is born with. In most cases, he tends to show his sincerity and kindness, and to feel the good things in life with his heart.
"As long as Xiaolong likes it, that's good. I'm happy as long as Xiaolong is happy," Ian said. He seemed to have a limitless indulgence towards Draco.
"I'm super happy. Not only did I get what I wanted, but I also discovered something super interesting." Draco looked at Ian and smiled happily. "I found the answer to something that I've been wondering about."
"What is it?" Ian couldn't help but become curious. Xiaolong was super smart, so what could he be wondering about?
"I won't tell Ian, but Ian can find the answer himself. It must be very, very interesting." Draco loved to laugh, and Ian had seen it many times, but never as bright as this smile.
"I will definitely find the answer, Draco!" Ian was full of fighting spirit and treated this as a challenge game from a friend.
Come on Ian, move forward!
