After hearing Draco's thoughts, everyone couldn't sit still.
Chapter 37 Admission to the Branch
Draco hadn't seen much of his mom, dad, or godfather lately. His godfather was a professor, so it was understandable that he'd be a bit busy before school started, but everyone seemed to be so busy all of a sudden, which left Draco, who had always been protected and accompanied by his family, feeling a little overwhelmed.
But luckily, Harry was there for him. No matter how busy his parents and godfather were, they would always give them a good morning kiss in the morning, and come home at night to check on them to see if they had slept well. How did they know? Because Draco and Harry hadn't slept at all.
But today, Mom, Dad, and Godfather all showed up, a rare sight. Oh, and a big black dog too. Today was the day Draco and Harry were going to Hogwarts! That meant they would only get to see them during the holidays.
Lucius and Narcissa were reluctant to let him go. The dog clung to Harry's legs, wanting to go with him desperately. Only Snape looked calm, which was hilarious. Now that he had been sent to the car and got out, he immediately saw what was there to be reluctant about.
Harry argued helplessly with Sirius about whether he could go to Hogwarts. Draco was held in Narcissa's arms and was given detailed instructions. Harry was also pulled over to listen.
As for Sirius, he was imprisoned by the impatient Lucius and could not move. He could only look at the affectionate family pitifully.
Harry and Draco both listened attentively, without any impatience. After all, to be honest, they were looking forward to a good life at Hogwarts before school started, but now they were more reluctant to leave their families and nervous about the unknown.
After the train pulled into the station, Narcissa kissed their foreheads, and Lucius patted the two boys' shoulders encouragingly. Snape, leaving a note saying he'd wait for them at Hogwarts, apparated away. He couldn't stand the overly cozy atmosphere. Merlin, this was worse than killing him.
He planned to go back to Malfoy Manor first, and then go back to the professor's office at Hogwarts through Malfoy Manor. He took Sirius with him, and he was a very conspicuous person there. Didn't he see many parents looking at him, both openly and covertly?
Draco and Harry said goodbye to Narcissa Lucius and got on the train with their small suitcases. One of them had a system space and the other had a necklace with a traceless extension spell.
The small suitcase was just a cover. Inside were some snacks made by Narcissa and some small toys brought from home. I heard that the Hogwarts Express would be open for a long time, so these could be used to kill time.
They walked to the Malfoy family's private box and had just sat down for a while when Ron came over.
"Harry! Draco, huhu... come help me." Ron was panting as he carried his two large boxes. Draco casually cast a levitation spell. "Wingardium Leviotha. Come on, Ron, don't you know how to levitate? Are you using your wand for decoration?" Draco felt that he sometimes didn't quite understand Ron's train of thought.
"George and Fred said that young wizards can't cast spells outside of school. There are tracers in the wand that will detect the fluctuations of your spellcasting and then capture you. I'm not very proficient in wandless magic, unlike you and Harry." Ron sat down and calmed his rapid breathing, then explained to Draco and Harry.
Draco was skeptical, being a Gemini after all...
"Wow George, look at our innocent and sweet little Ronnie,"
"He obviously believed it."
"Our words. Hahaha~"
The Weasley twins appeared out of nowhere, winking at the three of them and teasing Ron with a smile.
"George, Fred!" It would be strange if Ron hadn't realized he'd been tricked. He sat there sulking, arms crossed, and scowled. "You just watched me carry two heavy boxes without helping me and then you lied to me. Next time you pull a prank on Percy, I won't cover for you!"
"Don't be angry, little Ronnie," Fred said with a grin. "We didn't lie to you."
George continued in tacit understanding, "But it can still be used before the little wizard enters school~"
Ron couldn't get angry with Fred. The cunning Gemini had already seen through him, so every time George fanned the flames, Fred would be the one to put the blame. After a few kind words from the Geminis, Ron, with his broad mind, forgot about the unpleasantness and made plans with the Geminis for an adventure after school. It wasn't until their friend Jordan asked them to come see his new pet that they said goodbye.
Draco took out the delicious snacks that Narcissa had carefully prepared and placed them on the table. Ron also took out the delicious fried chicken legs that Molly had made. The few of them chatted and shared the delicious food.
"Why don't I see Blaise and the others?" Ron thought of a few friends while eating chicken legs.
"They're in the Parkinson's box, right?" Draco replied nonchalantly, reading a heavy book that gave Ron a headache.
Ron finished his chicken leg and cleaned himself up as usual. "Draco, stop reading. Let's play Werewolf."
"But it's more fun with more people. Let's go play with Bracey and the others on the weekend after school," Harry suggested. Three of them couldn't play. Besides, Draco was obviously a little sleepy and lacked interest.
"Okay, how about this? Big..." Ron raised the game in his hand and gestured to Harry and Draco. Before he finished speaking, the door of the box was opened.
The three of them frowned, clearly disliking the newcomer's impolite appearance. Standing at the door was a little girl, arrogant and proud, with her head held high. She had thick, curly brown hair and a pair of large, rabbit-like teeth.
"Has any of you seen Neville's toad? Neville's toad is gone." A dejected Neville Longbottom followed behind her.
"My dear student, I think a polite person would knock on the door before entering, instead of walking in uninvited and looking down on others."
Ron didn't like the girl who suddenly barged in. Her arrogant look was very similar to those little nobles at the banquet who looked down on the Weasleys but still came to make friends with them reluctantly.
Oh, of course I don't mean anything against Draco and the others. He and Draco Brace are friends. Although Pansy's words are a bit harsh, she is still a good person. She won't smile at him on the surface and look down on him behind his back.
"You!" The girl, Hermione Granger, blushed, but she couldn't say anything back because she was in the wrong. Neville looked up at the familiar voice and looked at Harry and the other two in surprise. "Ah, Harry, Ron, and Draco."
"Neville?" Her attention was completely focused on the little witch in front of her, and she didn't notice Neville behind her. To be honest, she didn't listen carefully to what Hermione said. "Come in and sit down first." Standing there like an idiot was not a good idea.
Neville and Hermione sat down. Hermione said awkwardly to Ron and the others, "My name is Hermione Granger. Sorry for what happened just now." Seeing her like this, Ron felt that he was a bit too arbitrary. Maybe this person simply didn't know how to speak.
He rubbed his head a little embarrassedly and said, "It's okay. I was a little harsh just now. By the way, my name is Ron Weasley, and these two are my good friends, Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy."
"Harry Potter? Are you the Boy-Who-Lived?" Hermione's eyes darted back and forth before finally settling on Harry. Black hair, green eyes, and a lightning scar on his head—yes, it was him. The platinum-haired little head next to him must be Draco Malfoy, who was quite good-looking.
"I read your story in 'Hogwarts, A History'..." Hermione talked incessantly. She probably didn't even realize that she was so nervous that she had wrinkled the robe on her legs.
Draco observed her actions. "She's just a girl who's not good at expressing herself, hiding it behind arrogance." He politely withdrew his gaze, drawing a conclusion in his mind, not noticing Hermione's suddenly flushed face and Neville's open mouth in surprise.
The box suddenly became quiet, and Harry thought quickly, "There are just four of us, let's play a game. Draco, you got up too early this morning and you must be sleepy. Take a rest and I'll wake you up later."
Draco nodded and lay on Harry's lap. Harry carefully covered him with a small blanket to prevent him from catching a cold. Then he took out the Monopoly card that Ron had just taken and winked at the three of them.
Hermione and Neville swore that Draco hadn't opened his mouth just now. After all, they had been watching him out of the corner of their eyes. Come on, who wouldn't be attracted by such a cute and radiant child?
They were filled with questions, but they found themselves unable to open their mouths, as if their mouths were glued shut. They keenly noticed something from Harry and Ron's actions: they seemed to know something, but Draco seemed completely clueless. So they waited for an answer.
While Harry was explaining the rules of the game to them, he secretly took out a card from his necklace and handed it to Hermione, showing it to her and Neville:
1. What you heard was Draco's inner voice. Secrets should not be revealed to those who cannot hear them, with some exceptions. You can express them in a subtle way, but if that person can't even hear your subtle expressions, then please stay away from them. They must harbor ill will towards you or Draco. But try not to reveal it to others.
2. According to research statistics, people who can hear are not bad people, and they are basically related to the world line. <Dumbledore Certified> People who can hear cannot have any bad thoughts about Draco. If you don’t believe it, you can try it.
3. If you hear it, please pretend not to know. Don’t hint to Draco that you can hear his thoughts. Please keep it a secret.
4. You can think of reasonable reasons to express some dangerous thoughts without arousing suspicion so that everyone can know and be vigilant.
5. This card will be destroyed after reading. If you have any questions, please contact Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, or Headmaster Dumbledore privately.
6. Your name has appeared in the Book of Secrets of Malfoy Manor. Please be careful with your words.
Under the slightly panicked eyes of Neville and Hermione, two names slowly appeared on the back of the card: Hermione Granger and Neville Longbottom. Then, they suddenly dissipated into a ball of light.
