After hearing Draco's thoughts, everyone couldn't sit still.

[On September 1992, 9, when the Weasley family took Harry to King's Cross Station, Ginny left the diary at the Burrow. She only remembered it when she was about to get on the highway and had to go back home to get it.

At school, Ginny quickly learned how to communicate with Tom Riddle through her diary, but at the time she had no idea that this person was Voldemort from her school days, or even whether he really existed.

Ginny wrote down all her innermost thoughts in her diary, including her obsession with Harry Potter. Tom Riddle's fragment of soul thought listening to the "childish troubles" of an eleven-year-old girl was boring, but he still patiently wrote a few words in response to her.

Gradually, Ginny was bewitched by Riddle's kind and understanding appearance, and began to become more and more dependent on him.

Harry avoided Pansy's accusing gaze. Then he thought, that's not right, it wasn't him who went into the ladies' room.

After the first attack, Harry, Ron, and Hermione began investigating. They initially suspected Draco Malfoy was the culprit behind the attack because he had always hated Muggle-borns and was happy to see the attacks happen.

That night, he tried writing in his diary for the first time and discovered a way to communicate with it. Harry asked the diary about the Chamber of Secrets, and Riddle, in order to gain Harry's trust, decided to let him witness a memory of himself capturing Hagrid.

Riddle hoped to imply to Harry that Hagrid was the culprit for opening the Chamber of Secrets, but after Harry and Ron went to the Forbidden Forest to talk to Aragog, they determined that Hagrid was innocent.

When Harry's schoolbag was ripped on Valentine's Day, Ginny was watching. She was horrified to discover that Harry had found Tom Riddle's diary. She feared Harry would discover how to use it, and that Riddle would reveal his secrets to Harry. So, shortly thereafter, she found an opportunity to sneak into the Gryffindor boys' dormitory and steal the diary.

Riddle was furious when he saw Ginny writing in her diary again, and once again manipulated Ginny into an attack, this time petrifying Hermione Granger and Penelope Cruvat.

Riddle learned from Ginny that Harry's good friend had also been attacked. He knew that Harry would do everything he could to uncover the secret behind the incident. So, Riddle controlled Ginny to write a suicide note on the wall of the corridor, and then went to the secret room to wait.

The teachers at Hogwarts noticed Ginny's disappearance and saw new writing on the wall. They believed that the monster in the Chamber of Secrets had abducted Ginny and the school was once again threatened with closure.

Before being attacked, Hermione had already deduced that the monster in the Chamber of Secrets was a basilisk, but she did not have time to tell Harry and Ron this information in person.

However, Harry and Ron found a page torn from an old library book in Hermione's hand. Harry and Ron also speculated that the students killed by the basilisk 50 years ago were still at the place where they were attacked, and the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets was probably hidden in Moaning Myrtle's bathroom.

But Ron's wand malfunctioned again, and the backfired spell caused irreversible damage to Lockhart's own memory. The explosion caused by the spell also collapsed the tunnel, isolating Ron and Lockhart. So Harry had to enter the Chamber of Secrets alone.

Harry met the unconscious Ginny and Tom Riddle, who had regained his physical form, in the Chamber of Secrets. Riddle did not tell Harry that he was a soul in the Horcrux, but said that he was a memory.

Harry pulled the Sword of Gryffindor from the Sorting Hat and successfully killed the Basilisk, but was also wounded by its fangs. Harry pulled out the fangs, but the venom had already taken effect. Tom Riddle waited for Harry's death, but unexpectedly, Fawkes healed Harry's wounds with his tears.

Just as Riddle raised Harry's wand, ready to kill him, Fawkes threw the diary next to Harry, who quickly grabbed the basilisk's fang and plunged it straight into the center of the diary.

Since the basilisk's venom is one of the few substances that can destroy the Horcrux, Voldemort's first Horcrux was destroyed. With the disappearance of the Horcrux, Ginny also woke up.
