After hearing Draco's thoughts, everyone couldn't sit still.
Chapter 13 The Strange Weasley
Draco was in a bad mood today. It had been three months since 65 left. Although most of the time he was like a warm-hearted little angel.
He comforted his busy parents with kisses, pestered his godfather, who was in the potions room, to go out for a walk or a meal, and tried to be mature like a big brother as he slowly helped Harry get acquainted with Malfoy Manor. But sometimes, like today, he would feel listless.
Harry has adapted to life in Malfoy Manor. Through study and Narcissa's gentle guidance, he can already chat with his mother. Don't ask why he can't chat with his father.
Because James' mother 'accidentally' found out about him saying bad things about his godfather last time (Harry smiled innocently), Lily forbade James to communicate with Harry alone. If he had anything to say, he had to write it down at the back of Lily's letter under Lily's supervision.
Harry sighed. He already knew about the bad things his father did to his godfather, from his mother, Uncle Lucius and Aunt Narcissa.
Although he missed his parents very much, he was a sensible and educated boy. No matter what, his father and his friends were wrong. He wrote a letter to his father bravely and expressed his thoughts. His father had not replied to him yet, but the godfather seemed a little happy the next day.
Specifically, he no longer called him "Po Te" from time to time.
Now he was hiding in the corner, furtively watching Draco sitting on the sofa in a daze. Harry was thinking sadly, like a little adult, he raised the shrunken Liam in his hand.
"Liam, did you make Draco in a bad mood? Why don't you take Draco flying for a while, maybe he will feel better." Liam took him and Draco flying before, and he liked that feeling very much. He thought that Draco would be in a better mood after flying for a while.
Liam rolled his eyes in a humane way, then gently flapped his wings and flew away.
"What's wrong? Does our brainless little troll have troubles too?" A low voice sounded in Harry's ears. Snape appeared behind Harry at some point, staring down at him with his dark eyes. His greasy hair and the obvious dark circles on his pale face suggested that he had been immersed in the mysterious potion all night long.
Snape went downstairs to have a cup of coffee to refresh himself, and to deal with the two little guys who were going to drag him out of the potion room if they didn't see him. But he saw one of them in a daze and the other sneaking around doing something unknown. He tried to scare Harry out of mischief, but obviously didn't succeed.
Harry had clearly grown accustomed to his godfather's elusiveness. He'd always been frightened at first, but now he'd managed to remain calm and composed. He'd adapted perfectly to the cellar snake king's venomous tongue, arrogance, and mischievous humor.
Today he is Troll, yesterday he was Mandrake, when he is in a good mood he is Puffball, when he is in a bad mood he is Lacewing.
Harry pulled Rasnap's black robe, motioning his godfather to come closer. He pointed in Draco's direction and explained softly, "Draco has been like this since Uncle Lucius and Aunt Narcissa left this morning. I asked him about it, and he just said he was bored. Godfather, do you have any suggestions?"
Snape was lost in thought. It seemed as if the Malfoys had given him something before they left the house today. He tried to recall the words in the parenting manual Lucius had given him. It seemed to say… children always want to go out and play… He had forgotten the second half of the sentence, but it didn't matter. As long as they could go out and play, that would be all right, right?
He was a bit perplexed, not knowing where to take the two children. Thinking that the young wizards seemed very interested in Diagon Alley, he decided to find something for the two little brats to do so that they wouldn't be so unhappy and annoying. The Potions Master, who was the most stubborn person in the world, thought.
He and Lucius Narcissa were next door that day and heard the whole thing. Worried? No, for an enemy from outside the world like that, it was ridiculous. It would only cause them more trouble and not help at all. They were just worried that Draco would be sad.
He took Harry's hand, walked over to Draco and sat down. He pretended to be nonchalant and picked up the Daily Prophet on the coffee table and read it, glancing at the report about Sirius.
He cleared his throat to attract the attention of the two trolls: "I'm busy today. I have a new potion that needs to be tested." He glanced at Harry and Draco, who could not hide their lost looks.
"Since I'm short of several precious medicinal herbs, I need to go to Diagon Alley to purchase them." He ignored the two people's eyes that suddenly lit up and their quiet cheers, and slowly snapped his fingers, asking Doris to prepare breakfast.
"Perhaps the two little trolls are ready to go before your poor old godfather finishes breakfast?" He took a sip of coffee slowly, watching the two little guys run up hand in hand excitedly, their raised coffee cups covering the smile on their lips.
--------------------------------------
"Wow--" "Wow--" Snape's face darkened, and he felt that he must have been out of his mind when he decided to bring them out in the morning. Look at these two little trolls who were stupidly sticking to the glass and watching the flying broomsticks, with faces that looked like they had never seen the world before.
He took a deep breath, and with a forced smile, he pulled the two children, who were still clinging to their brooms, over to him. "I suppose you remember that you're here to buy potions with your poor godfather today?"
Draco and Harry smiled ingratiatingly. They were so excited. Although Malfoy Manor was big and beautiful, Diagon Alley had a liveliness that Malfoy Manor did not have, and a colorfulness that was different from the Muggle world.
Wizards dressed in all sorts of robes brought their children to shop. They ate candy that spewed fire. There was an old wand shop that was constantly flashing, raining, and making crackling sounds. There was also a flying broom that floated in the air to show off its magic... a flying broom! It was completely different from the children's brooms at home!
They held Snape's hand and walked to the potion shop. After a while, they came out. Snape's brow was furrowed. The herb he wanted was out of stock. It seemed that he would have to go to Knockturn Alley...
He glanced at the two little guys who were looking up at him obediently, and silently made a decision. He squatted down.
"Draco, Harry. I have something to do. Please wait for me in Diagon Alley. You can play for a while. We can meet at Fusco's Ice Cream Shop in two hours, okay?" He put a bag of gold Galleons in Harry's hand.
"Here is your pocket money, Harry. I believe you are a little adult who knows what you are doing. You will look after Draco, right?" Snape stared at Harry, completely ignoring Draco whose cheeks were puffed up with anger.
Although Draco was the older of the two, Harry was the more stable. Don't think he was unaware of his Potions obsession; Draco only looked angelic, but in reality, many of Harry's actions were instigated by him, like flying on the Thunderbird last time. If Narcissa hadn't set up the magic circle, they would have been invited to tea at the Ministry of Magic! He was sure of it!
"Don't worry, Godfather." Harry couldn't help but straighten his chest at the trust from his elders, and a sense of responsibility naturally emerged. He took Draco, who was silent and sulking, by the hand and patted Draco's head soothingly. Yes, he was already taller than Draco.
Snape ignored the platinum troll who looked like he was trying to coax them, patted Harry's shoulder, and glanced meaningfully at Draco's wizard robes. In the blink of an eye, he disappeared from Harry and Draco's sight, ending their attempts to sneak up on him.
The two looked at each other, and Draco asked Harry guiltily, "Did the Godfather glance at my clothes just now? Did he notice Liam?" Indeed, the two naughty little guys had sneaked upstairs and summoned Liam, making him shrink and hide in Draco's wizard robes. Draco took Liam from his arms, held him lovingly, stroked his fur, and placed him on his shoulder.
"I think the godfather must have noticed," Harry said uncertainly. Besides the Galleons, his godfather hadn't given him anything else. Even if this place was safe, no parent would trust two six-year-olds wandering around on their own. "He must have noticed," Harry was convinced. It was Liam's presence that allowed him and Draco to be at peace.
"Never mind him, Harry, look, there are so many people there, let's go and take a look." Draco threw his little guilty conscience behind him and looked around, curious about everything. Not far away, there were crowds of people, and it looked very lively.
Draco pulled Harry through the crowd, turning his head from time to time to see if Harry was squeezed. He was not paying attention and bumped into a child who was trying to squeeze out.
"Ouch—" Draco staggered but did not fall, thanks to the genetic potion, otherwise, with his previous physical condition, he would have fallen and called the family doctor.
"Draco, are you okay?" Harry nervously pulled Draco, and his little hands imitated Narcissa and touched Draco's body randomly.
"I'm fine, maybe..." Something happened on the other side...
"Ah! My roasted chicken leg... woooo..."
