After hearing Draco's thoughts, everyone couldn't sit still.
Chapter 10: Strange Savior 2
"Number 4, Privet Drive, that's it, Godfather." Draco took Snape's hand, looked down at the address on the note, then looked at the house number, and said to Snape happily. For various reasons, Liam was unable to come with him.
But don't worry, [I can protect my godfather even if there are bad guys.] He touched the large pocket on the chest of his overalls and glanced at Snape guiltily. [Luckily, my mother and godfather didn't notice I brought the little wand out.]
Didn't Snape and Narcissa notice? They just kept silent, thinking it was a lucky glint from a child's wand. So they turned a blind eye and let Draco go.
Snape looked at the house in front of him, his eyes revealing a complex expression. Although he had reconciled with his past self, he felt a chill when he thought of the awkward apology that damn Potter had given him when he was communicating with Lily last night. He promised that if that damn Potter stood in front of him, he would make him taste the taste of the shadowless sword.
He suppressed his complicated thoughts, pulled Draco forward and rang the doorbell.
"Come here, come here. Who is it so early in the morning? No, Dada baby, it shouldn't be your grandma..." When Penny came to open the door, she was still explaining gently to her baby son. When she saw who was standing at the door, she was stunned where she was. Then she quickly protected Dali behind her and looked at Snape vigilantly.
Even though she hadn't seen him for many years, she recognized him immediately. He was the man who brought Lily into a world she could never reach, a freak just like Lily. "Severus Snape. What are you doing here?"
"Well, there's only one reason, isn't there?" Snape looked down at Petunia, a sneer in his eyes. "Of course, to take your poor sister's child, Harry Potter. I think as a host I should be polite to my guests, right? Are you sure you want to say this here? In front of these... Muggles?"
He looked around and saw subtle gazes coming from several households. After all, most of the people living here were familiar to him. Suddenly, a tall, black-haired handsome man with a delicate, angelic young master appeared here and it was really conspicuous.
Penny also felt the scrutiny from all around, and she was afraid of being discovered somewhere strange, so she reluctantly moved aside. "Come in."
Snape walked in holding Draco's hand, and even glanced at Dali as he passed by. Dali, who was about to pull the cute little boy's hand, was frightened and huddled beside Petunia, not daring to move. He looked at his mother for help, but Petunia was now distracted and didn't notice that something was wrong with Dali.
After sitting down on the sofa, Petunia looked at Snape with mixed feelings. He hadn't changed at all compared to 10 years ago. No, he had changed a little. He always looked malnourished and lifeless before, but now he had the temperament of an aristocrat from some noble family.
"I remember Dumbledore said I was needed to maintain the magic. So, now that his safety is guaranteed, I'm taking him back?" She hated magic, and even more so, anything to do with wizards. These wizards, acting so friendly, had left a baby on their doorstep without a word, nearly completely destroying the happy family she had finally regained.
When she sent that little monster to the orphanage, she jumped out to stop him, saying so righteously, "They're not raising him. Do you know how much effort it takes to raise a child? Do you know how much of a headache it is to try to prevent him from showing his strange abilities?" And now he wants to take him away without even saying a word? "No way, I don't agree!"
Petunia's voice was so shrill and thin that it made Draco's head buzz. [Oh my god, no wonder Muggles are dangerous. This voice is almost as bad as a mermaid's.] No one noticed that the gap in the cupboard had quietly widened. A pair of emerald eyes stared out without blinking, their eyes full of timidity and curiosity.
"I'm not negotiating with you, Petunia." Snape's low, pleasant voice sounded very hateful to Petunia. "As his godfather, I think I have the right to take him away."
"You've already taken my Lily away, and now you're taking her child away!! If you're his godfather, why didn't you take him away? No, how could you be that brat's godfather? Lily never told me there was anyone else besides that arrogant idiot."
Petunia's face turned red with anger, but she felt something was wrong. When did Snape become Harry Potter's godfather? Lily had only introduced him to that arrogant and rude idiot!
"Bang—" "Ouch!" A crash erupted from the cupboard by the stairs, accompanied by the child's tender cry of pain. Petunia's face paled, and she stood up to try to stop it. Snape's face darkened, and based on the information Lucius had given him, he had already guessed something. He quickly walked over and opened the cupboard door. A thin figure fell out, and he reached out to catch it.
He was too thin, and his bones were so loose that it made people feel uneasy. After a few seconds of contact, Snape could smell the scent of cheap ointment on the child. He judged that the child had at least a dozen scars on his body.
He was filled with rage. Even though he didn't like the stupid last name Potter, the child was also Lily's child. His face was ashen and he tried his best to suppress his anger.
"Harry Potter, right? I'm your godfather, Severus Snape. I'm here to take you away at your mother's request." He glanced around the narrow cupboard that could be seen at the end, the tattered quilt that could barely cover the bed, and the pillows piled with old clothes. "Well, I don't think there's any need to take this pile of junk away."
He scoffed and impatiently placed the Potter brat on the ground, yet his movements were gentle. He waved to the bewildered Draco, motioning for the two children to follow him. He walked past Petunia, who had been frozen in place and speechless from the beginning, and placed a letter on the living room table.
"Look, Petunia." He didn't look back, but just said softly, his anger still lingering, "He is the child born out of Lily's expectations. I really hope you will never regret it." After that, he walked out with the two children.
When the door closed, Harry vaguely heard Aunt Petunia crying and Dudley's panicked voice calling for his mother.
He felt like he was in a dream. First, a man who claimed to be his godfather came to the Dursleys' house. They spoke a language he couldn't understand and talked about his mother.
He excitedly wanted to ask about his parents, but he forgot how narrow the place he was in was and hit his head hard. When the door opened, he was afraid and prepared to face the pain of falling and Aunt Petunia's curse. He skillfully curled himself up and prepared to be used as a punching bag by Dali, but unexpectedly fell into an embrace with a herbal smell.
The embrace was stiff but warm. He secretly glanced at the man holding him. It was the man who claimed to be his godfather. His face was full of anger, but for some reason Harry felt at ease.
Afterwards, he took him away from the cage that he thought would trap him for the rest of his life. After being happy, he was filled with anxiety, not knowing how this man who called himself Godfather would treat him. He didn't eat much, he just needed a place to live. It would be even better if the Godfather could let him sleep on the sofa. He didn't want to stay in the closet.
He was lost in thought, his eyes stealing glances at the man who claimed to be his godfather, and the boy beside him who looked like a little prince. Oh my God, he had never seen such a handsome boy, even more handsome than the angels on the murals in the church that Uncle Vernon often visited.
The platinum-blond hair seemed to reflect light in the sunlight, and those gray-blue eyes seemed to be able to speak and kept looking at him... huh? Harry reacted and looked away in panic.
[65, Why is the Savior always looking at me?] Draco had been observing the Savior the entire time. Just now, because his godfather was angry, he didn't dare to cast a small evil curse on the abominable Muggle.
He saw that the little savior lived in a place worse off than their house-elf. His clothes were too big and ill-fitting, and his skin was bruised and purple under the sleeves that were occasionally exposed. It was obvious that he had been abused.
"He must have sensed my charisma and wanted to be friends, but he's shy." Draco confidently spoke up without waiting for 65 to respond. 65 remained silent, deciding he'd better not speak.
Draco thought about how he was born a month earlier than the savior, and a sense of responsibility came over him. He took Harry's hand and smiled brightly at him. "Hello, I'm Draco Malfoy. You can call me Draco, but can I call you Harry?"
"Of course, Draco." Harry was dizzy. He clearly heard the angel talking just now, but he didn't see him open his mouth. Is this Draco's ability? So amazing.
"You just..." He opened his mouth, but no words came out. He felt a gentle voice whispering to him, a voice within him, telling him not to say it. As for the subsequent talk of change, of fate, he didn't understand. It was a secret between Draco and me, he suddenly realized.
