In the huge room.

Su Yutang's eyelids trembled slightly.

When she woke up again, she was alone in the room.

The curtains were half-open, and it seemed to be evening outside. The orange-red sunlight shone in obliquely, giving everything a warm color.

Su Yutang tried to sit up, and the wound on her abdomen immediately throbbed in protest.

She looked down and saw that she was wearing a loose white nightgown and her arm was wrapped in a bandage.

Who changed her clothes? Who bandaged her wounds?

These questions made her feel inexplicably uneasy, and so did the unfamiliar environment.

The decoration in the room is luxurious and exquisite. There are several landscape paintings hanging on the wall, which looks like a small town in Europe.

But she had no memory of this room.

She carefully moved to the edge of the bed, and as soon as her feet touched the ground, she was overwhelmed by dizziness.

Su Yutang had to hold on to the bedside table to steady herself and wait for the dizziness to pass.

On the bedside table sat a glass of water and a few pills, with a note next to them: "Take when you wake up."

Was this left by the man, or by the doctor?

Su Yutang hesitated for a moment and ultimately did not touch the pills.

The sound of the doorknob turning made her look up sharply.

A middle-aged man in a white coat walked in and was obviously surprised to see her sitting by the bed.

"Miss Su, you're awake!" He walked over quickly, his tone filled with concern. "How do you feel? Are you feeling unwell?"

Su Yutang shrank back cautiously: "Who are you?"

The man pointed to the name tag on his chest and said, "I'm Dr. Zhang, responsible for your treatment."

Su Yutang stared at his badge for a few seconds, then frowned, trying to search for any fragment in her memory, but found only a blank.

"What's wrong with me? Why can't I remember...anything?"

Doctor Zhang gave a reassuring smile and said, "This is a temporary memory loss caused by an accident. It will recover soon."

He picked up the pills on the bedside table and said, "This is the medicine to help your body recover. You need to take one now."

Su Yutang didn't reach out to take it: "Who is that man?"

"Which man?" Doctor Zhang was obviously stunned.

"The one I saw when I woke up last time, he was wearing perfume." Su Yutang stared at the doctor's eyes, catching the unnatural look that flashed across his face.

Doctor Zhang's smile was a little stiff. "Oh, that's Mr. Xiao. He saved you."

Mr. Xiao?

Su Yutang frowned. Are they friends? Otherwise, why would he save her?

Even if she lost her memory, she was sure that she could get some information about herself from Mr. Xiao.

"I want to see him," she said bluntly.

Doctor Zhang shook his head: "Mr. Xiao is very busy now. He told you that you need to rest well and take your medicine on time."

He handed over the pills and the cup of water, "Please cooperate with the treatment, Miss Su."

Su Yutang felt unfamiliar and distrustful of everything around her.

The more medicine the doctor asked her to take, the less she wanted to take it.

After she refused again, she asked, "I want to know, who am I and where am I?"

Doctor Zhang was obviously hesitant: "Well... let's wait for Mr. Xiao to tell you."

Su Yutang asked, "When will he come back?"

Doctor Zhang said, "Mr. Xiao will be back naturally when he finishes his work."

Su Yutang frowned: "I know, you can go out."

Doctor Zhang looked at the pills again and hesitated, "But the medicine..."

Su Yutang said calmly, "I will take the medicine. Put it here first."

"Okay." Doctor Zhang hesitated for a moment, and finally put the medicine and water in the designated place, turned around and left the room.

After the doctor left, Su Yutang immediately lifted the quilt and slowly moved to the bedside while enduring the pain in her abdomen.

She walked to the window and gently opened a corner of the curtain.

Outside was a beautifully manicured garden, with high walls visible in the distance and several black-clad guards patrolling.

She couldn't help but frown. She hated the feeling of knowing nothing.

At night, someone finally came in.

Su Yutang raised her head and saw a strange face.

The man stood at the door, facing the light from the corridor, with a tall and slender figure and sharp eyebrows.

She fixed her eyes on him as he walked in step by step.

"I heard you woke up, so I rushed over as soon as I finished my work." The man stood in front of the bed, his voice low and a faint smile on his lips. He didn't look like a bad person.

Su Yutang looked up at him and suddenly realized that this was the "Mr. Xiao" that Doctor Zhang had mentioned.

Looking closely, there are fine lines at the corners of his eyes, which does not make him look old, but instead adds a bit of mature charm. However, his eyes are too deep and dark, like two ancient wells, with no bottom visible.

"Who am I?" Su Yutang asked directly. This was the question she wanted to know most urgently.

The man seemed amused by her directness, and the corners of his lips curled up a little more: "You?"

He raised his eyebrows slightly, "Your last name is Su, Su..."

He paused, a hint of emotion that Su Yutang couldn't interpret flashed in his eyes, "Su Tangtang."

"Su Tangtang?" Su Yutang silently repeated the name, feeling both familiar and unfamiliar.

She noticed the man's subtle pause, as if he had suddenly changed his mind.

Is this name really hers?

"What about you? Who are you?" she continued to ask.

He bent down, suddenly closing the distance between them.

Su Yutang smelled the faint scent of cologne on him, mixed with a hint of tobacco.

His breath brushed against her cheek, his voice as soft as a whisper: "I'm your man!"

Su Yutang couldn't help but shrink back.

"Are you my man?" she asked back, her brows unconsciously furrowed.

Even though she had lost her memory, she knew that she had no feelings for the man in front of her.

Because her body reacted before her brain, her heartbeat did not speed up, her skin did not get hot, there was only an instinctive alertness.

The man seemed to sense her resistance, smiled and stood up: "You had an accident and hurt your brain, so it's normal that you can't remember for a while."

He calmly adjusted his cuffs. "My last name is Xiao, and my name is Xiao Hengyu. It doesn't matter if you can't remember it. You just need to know that I won't hurt you and you can trust me. That's enough."

Su Yutang looked at him and did not answer.

Xiao Hengyu glanced at the pills on the bedside table: "Have you taken the medicine?"

"Yeah." Su Yutang lied without changing his expression.

In fact, she secretly threw away the pills, but she didn't intend to tell the man.

"Good girl." Xiao Hengyu smiled with satisfaction, "Are you hungry? I'll have dinner brought over."

Su Yutang nodded, she was indeed hungry.

More importantly, she needed time to think and more information to determine whether the man who claimed to be her man was trustworthy.
