I have been farming since I crossed over.

Lu Jintang and Yang Mingxi ignored what was happening in Old Master Lu's yard and went straight back to Lu Jintang's yard.

Inside the spacious and bright bridal chamber, sunlight streamed through the windows onto the floor, creating dappled shadows. The furnishings were simple yet exquisite: bright red silk, vibrant flowers, and pairs of wedding characters all accentuated the festive atmosphere. Yet, everything remained exactly as it had been the day before Yang Mingxi left.

Just then, a figure hurried in. It turned out to be the maid Gu Hua. Upon seeing Yang Mingxi, her fair face instantly flushed. She shyly stepped forward and whispered, "Madam Thirteen, are you going to rest? I'll make your bed right away."

Yang Mingxi was slightly stunned, and it took her a while to come back to her senses. She looked down at her gorgeous wedding dress and sighed inwardly, realizing that she was now the Thirteenth Lady of the Lu family.

She looked up at Gu Hua and said with a smile, "No need to trouble you. We don't need you to serve here. Please go down first."

Yang Mingxi had never been accustomed to being served, especially in her own bed. She longed for a private space just for herself and her husband, and didn't want anyone else to disturb them.

Lu Jintang washed up briefly in the washroom next to the bed. He moved quickly but gracefully, finishing his wash and returning to the bed.

The moment he stepped into the room, his eyes happened to fall on the busy Yang Mingxi.
