When talking about the Battle of Song Mountain, the first thing to mention is Yunnan’s lifeline in the anti-Japanese war.

In Chinese mythology, most gods come from the mortal world.

If Yugong moving the mountains is a myth, then the Burma Road in Yunnan is the story of a mortal becoming a god.

After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, the Japanese invaders cut off almost all port and land transportation in order to prevent aid materials from entering China.

Therefore, Yunnan began to build this highway to transport supplies between Yunnan and Burma in November 1937.

The Burma Road is more than 1,400 kilometers long, equivalent to the distance from Beijing to Shanghai.

At that time, almost all the young and middle-aged men in western Yunnan had joined the army.

The people responsible for building the Burma Road were 20 elderly people, women and children, the youngest of whom was a 6-year-old baby with snot hanging from his nose.

It was these old, weak, women and children, who brought their own dry food and bedding, and in just nine months, they carved out with their own hands a road that crossed six mountains, five rivers, eight cliffs, and eighty percent of the road was made up of towering mountains.

During the entire War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression, supplies entering China via the Burma Road accounted for 90 percent of all aid supplies.

After the completion of the Burma Road, the Japanese invaders continuously sent planes to bomb the Burma Road in order to cut off this lifeline of the anti-Japanese war. It was these elderly, weak, women and children who built the road under the bombardment.

In 1942, the Japanese invaders invaded western Yunnan, occupied the west bank of the Nujiang River, and entrenched themselves on Song Mountain, thus interrupting the Burma Road.

In the following two years, the Japanese invaders established a fortress in Songshan, which was easy to defend and difficult to attack, and strangled the throat of the Burma Road.

In June 1944, the National Army decided to counterattack western Yunnan and sent 6 expeditionary forces to attack Songshan.

However, the Japanese invaders occupied advantageous high ground and had military fortresses and advanced weapons.

The attacking expeditionary force had to charge upwards under artillery fire, making the entire counterattack extremely difficult.

Countless soldiers fell on the way to charge. For a moment, the top of Songshan Mountain turned into a river of blood, and the soldiers suffered heavy casualties.

In order to launch a general attack on the Japanese invaders in Matsuyama with superior forces, the expeditionary force finally decided to relax the recruitment age, which led to the emergence of 7000 child soldiers in Matsuyama!

Most of these child soldiers were orphans whose parents died in the early days of the War of Resistance Against Japan. As families of martyrs, they followed the troops and wandered around.

If it were modern times, at their age they should be studying in school classrooms, or playing coquettishly with their parents and enjoying a happy childhood.

But now he has to use his young body to defend the country's territory, carrying a rifle taller than himself and charging bravely towards the enemy's artillery fire.

Mr. Kissinger also wrote the following passage about the Battle of Songshan.

I believe that the most fortunate people in China are the people born here. The safety of the country depends on the unwavering protection of the brave people among them.

However, who would have expected that the warriors of China would be a group of babies!

We are fortunate to be born in a peaceful era. It is hard to imagine that in the past there were more than 7,000 children, the elders were less than 15 years old, and the youngest were only 9 years old, holding up spears taller than their bodies, resolutely facing the enemy's artillery fire, and vowing to fight for their lives!

However, these patriots were not afraid in the face of great challenges, and no one of them had the intention of shrinking back. They ended their lives with heroism!

As she thought about it, Jiang Wanwan's eyes couldn't help but turn red.

She found that since she traveled to the trial world, she seemed to want to cry every day.

But many times, Jiang Wanwan really couldn't help it.

Baby soldier, what a niche word, I’m afraid many people nowadays have never heard of it?

Jiang Wanwan had only heard of it before, but now that she has arrived in this era, she is about to witness it with her own eyes!

In modern times, even a twenty-year-old is still just a child in the eyes of his parents.

But now, on Songshan Mountain, there will be a group of children in their teens, carrying the nation's hatred and family feuds, charging into the artillery fire with their tender bodies.

A variety of feelings surged into Jiang Wanwan's heart, making her eyes red and speechless for a moment.

The sister-in-law next to him couldn't understand the sudden change in the heavy expression of this bright-eyed person in front of her.

She took a few steps forward hesitantly and asked her initial question: "Who are you? Why are you here? And your house, wasn't it still there last night?"

Whether it was the house or the people that suddenly appeared, they all seemed abnormal and out of tune with the surroundings.

This is also the reason why the sister-in-law is so vigilant. She needs to find out the specific situation so that she can report it to the soldiers if something is wrong.

The questioning voice pulled Jiang Wanwan out of her emotions.

She also realized that she had to solve the current problems first before she would have the opportunity to learn detailed information related to the Battle of Songshan.

If given enough time, Jiang Wanwan is confident that she can explain the uniqueness of herself and the supermarket and gain everyone's trust.

However, at this moment, she was anxious and really didn't want to waste her breath on those things.

So I chose the simplest and fastest way.

Jiang Wanwan directly mobilized the faith and supernatural powers in her body.

His body rose up out of thin air, floating in the air, and a blazing fireball emerged from his outstretched right hand.

"This...this..." The sister-in-law who witnessed all this was so shocked that she couldn't speak.

Jiang Wanwan casually swung the fireball in her hand toward the loess road outside the supermarket, creating another hole on the already uneven road surface.

Then, he spoke with authority, "I am a cultivator. Last night, I calculated that there would be trouble here, so I came here with supplies to help."

As a Chinese, Jiang Wanwan knows very well what kind of identity she can use to make ordinary people believe and obey.

Sure enough, after hearing this, the sister-in-law's legs went weak and she wanted to kneel on the ground and kowtow in panic.

He was still shouting, "Immortal, hello to the Immortal!"

Jiang Wanwan just wanted an identity that was convincing to others, so she naturally wouldn't really accept the other party's kowtow.

She flew out of the supermarket at an extraordinary speed and landed next to the sister-in-law, and pulled her up before she kowtowed.

"Sister-in-law, you don't have to do this. I just have some questions for you."

Even though the eldest sister-in-law was standing, she still didn't dare to look up, and just responded: "Excuse me, Immortal."

"How far has the battle on the mountain progressed? Are all the expeditionary forces going up the mountain? Are there any soldiers at the foot of the mountain? I heard that they are recruiting child soldiers. Have all the children gone up the mountain?" Jiang Wanwan asked a series of questions.

According to historical records, the Battle of Songshan lasted for nearly three months, from June to early September, before the Japanese invaders were finally wiped out and the fortress was occupied.

Counting the dates, August 8th should be just before the decisive battle.

The child soldiers must have been drafted into the army, but I don’t know if they have completed their training and rushed to the Songshan battlefield?

The supermarket landed in the countryside at the foot of Songshan Mountain, some distance away from the main battlefield.

If there were no soldiers at the foot of Song Mountain, it would be a big trouble for Jiang Wanwan.

Even if she is willing to take the risk and deliver supplies to the front line herself, the soldiers must first come to the supermarket to check their own values!

However, the artillery fire on the mountain was fierce, and it was obviously unrealistic to ask the soldiers to stop fighting and go down the mountain.

Faced with a series of questions from Jiang Wanwan, the sister-in-law seriously answered what she knew.

"I don't know what the situation is like on the mountain, but there is a Kuomintang base not far away. They recruited child soldiers and are training them there. They said they will be taking them up the mountain in the next two days."

Is there a base at the foot of the mountain? Are the child soldiers still in training and haven't gone to the battlefield yet?

That’s great! Jiang Wanwan’s eyes lit up when she heard this, and she was filled with relief.
