Chapter 48 Something bad happened

By the river, a young man in gorgeous clothes saw Teya appear, with a hint of curiosity in his eyes and his demeanor showing elegance.

"Excuse me, sir, could you give us a ride? I'm willing to reward you with some silver." Teya asked respectfully.

"Oh, in that case, I will agree." The other party replied.

Things were going smoothly. Thea's lips curled up slightly, he was secretly happy, and he winked at Tina behind him.

Teya was thankful that he had a good amount of money in his bag, otherwise he would be worried about this matter now. However, he didn't know how much the reward would be, but he thought 200,000 berries would be enough.

"May I ask how much it will cost?" asked Teya.

"Well, one hundred thousand Baileys per person is a fair price. You will be taken care of by our company throughout the entire process, and from now on you will become our distinguished members, and more..."

Teya's face darkened, and he turned and left with Tina and the other two, while the man still watched them go away with a professional smile on his face.

Alas, even if you have a lot of money, you can't squander it like this. What's more, it's not enough, so why worry about the name of a member?

Teya felt that the start was not going well and became annoyed, so he turned his attention to the group of pirates.

"Do we really want to take a pirate ship?" Tina asked.

"There seems to be no other way at the moment. It doesn't matter. You just wait here and I will win you over with virtue." Teya snapped his fingers and walked towards the pirates who were carrying the goods.

The leader was a fat man with a face full of flesh. He must be the captain. He was aggressive and not easy to provoke.

Tina was not worried about Teya's strength, but she was worried that as adventurers, their identities would be exposed if they were not careful.

"I hope Teacher Teya is okay." Smoker scratched his nose and said, "Don't worry. He said he wins people over with virtue. Just believe him."

"Yeah." Tina replied.

From the two's perspective, Teya was talking to the captain, but the distance was a little far and they couldn't hear their words clearly, but the captain's voice was loud and he seemed impatient.

The captain scolded Teya, and the next moment, Teya knocked him to the ground with a punch.

Tina and Smoker stared across at each other in amazement.

A moment later, Teya came running over and said with a smile, "This kind captain agreed to give us a ride."

Tina and Smoker looked at the captain with panda eyes and a wry smile behind them and were speechless.

It really is the way to win people over with virtue!

On the sea, the ship sailed steadily and the pirate flags fluttered.

Today was a fine day for sailing, and there were no setbacks. However, the captain was not at all happy.

Even though their destination was the island they had longed to reach, they spent the past two days walking on thin ice.

After all, this unexpected guest on board has proven to be no ordinary person.

The captain rubbed his slightly swollen eyes and sighed.

Inside the cabin, Teya and the other two sat in one room, enjoying the food they brought with them in case of any emergency.

Tina was chewing the dry and hard jerky, and she caught a glimpse of Smoker tearing the meat tendons with all his might. His ferocious expression almost made her spit out the food, and she quickly turned her head away.

In fact, such an adventure is much more interesting than ordinary sailing. It is like visiting a garden, with unknown surprises waiting at every corner.

They might be the first navy to openly ride on a pirate ship, which Tina found incredible.

Only Teacher Teya could think of and put this into practice. If you follow him, you will learn things that cannot be learned anywhere else.

Tina stole a glance at Thea who was looking out the window and smiled slyly.

"Phew—this meat is as hard as rock. It almost knocked out my teeth." Smoker said, causing the two to laugh.

Thea looked at Smoker and found it hard to imagine that he would become such a cruel person in the future.

During this period of sailing, Thea never touched the cigarettes in his pocket. He had no smoking addiction and only smoked one occasionally to pass the time.

"Carlos, we're here..."

"Shh-"

Thea interrupted Smoker, walked quietly to the door, closed his eyes and frowned, and then returned.

"Tell me what's going on."

Thea didn't notice anyone outside the door. It seemed that there were only three of them in the cabin, and the other pirates should be on the deck.

Walls have no ears, so Smoker speaks his mind.

"If that thing really exists, shouldn't we just take it away?"

"No, first find out what the treasure is. Gold and silver alone are boring. Just find a pirate group to stretch your muscles."

Teya's point is that gold and silver aren't worth exposing their identities, and if there's something worth paying attention to, like a devil fruit of immense power, then they need to weigh the pros and cons.

But then again, if I really find a devil fruit, can I give it to the two of them privately?

Now no one knows his whereabouts, everything is decided by them, and even by Teya.

I'll take it one step at a time. Maybe I'm born to love adventure, or maybe I'm not suited to the navy.

But what's the harm?

Teya looked out the window at the sea and whispered, "If you regret it, you can always turn back."

Tina and Smoker looked at each other and said in unison that they would never regret it and would follow Teacher Teya's arrangements.

"Then enjoy the surprise of adventure."

Teya waved his hand to signal silence, and then there was a rapid knock on the door.

"Mr. Carlos, something terrible has happened! The enemy is attacking!"

Hearing the faint sound of cannon fire, Teya realized something was wrong and opened the door to see the second captain standing outside.

"What's the matter?" asked Teya.

"Mr. Carlos, we have encountered the enemy. The captain has ordered me to inform you that once the battle begins, we will have to rely on ourselves. This is as far as we can go."

"Okay, let's go take a look."

Ignoring the second-in-command's dissuasion, Teya led Tina and the others out of the cabin. On the deck, the pirates were staring covetously, their eyes all cast towards the distant sea. There was a ship there, which was the enemy they were talking about.

However, the burly bald captain in front blocked the view, and his head gleamed in the sunlight.

The first officer chased out of the cabin and shouted, "Mr. Carlos."

Thea did not respond, signaling Tina and the others not to act rashly, and then walked towards where the captain was.
