Time Travel: Age of Discovery

Nia asked curiously, "Then how did you end up here?"

Upon hearing this, Tashina chuckled and said nothing. She just picked up the exquisite teapot on the table and refilled Nia's cup with fragrant tea.

"I originally thought I would be imprisoned for the rest of my life, but five years later, I unexpectedly regained my freedom. Since then, I have traveled extensively, longing to find a quiet place and live a simple life."

Speaking of the past, Tashina paused, a hint of bitterness emerging between her brows: "Until I found a livelihood on the snowy island, where snow was always white and few people came. I thought I would eventually settle there."

Snowy Island?

Nia suddenly remembered that she had been to the island before, but had never met Tahina.

Is the timing not staggered?

Just as I was pondering this, I heard Tashina continue, "Then... the owner suddenly disappeared, and I was just a shop assistant, so I don't know where he went."

At this point, the voice stopped, and it seemed as if the past scene was vivid in his mind.

At that time, although the wanted poster for Tahina still existed, it had not been updated for a long time. People almost believed that she had already died, and the wanted poster was probably buried in a dusty corner.

What's more, Tashina had cut off her long hair, and was cautious everywhere, not revealing her whereabouts, and was regarded as a homeless lone traveler.

Fortunately, she had established herself in the snowy land and guarded the store during the day. With few customers passing by, she developed the habit of making tea.

Until one day, Tashina learned that the owner had sent her away, saying that he had to entertain a guest and might be out, so he allowed her two days off and even paid her salary in advance.

The boss's mystery did not cause too much doubt. After all, Tashina was an introverted person who did more and talked less.

Unexpectedly, the boss never returned, until a group of veiled bandits invaded the island. She fled with her precious belongings in the turmoil, and finally drifted here and settled down.

"A small shop in the snowy region, selling axes and chisels..."

Nia whispered three poetic names, which made Tashina's eyes light up. She looked at Nia in surprise and asked, "You have been here before, you must have been there before, could it be...?"

In response, Nia nodded and admitted that she had indeed been there, but she just passed by it and all she knew about it was the name of the place.

Tashina had hoped that Nia could know some news, but now she could only feel disappointed.

Even though she hadn't stayed in the snowy region for long, the feeling was still deep in her heart. She was eager to understand what had happened on the island.

"Although I'm just a passerby, I can tell you that this matter is not as simple as you think. Everything is over. Forget it."

Nia couldn't tell Tashina the truth about this part of her history. According to her, Tashina knew nothing about it. The complexity behind this matter far exceeded her imagination.

But that is the past, let it be.

Tashina smiled and said with relief: "As you said, everything is over..."

Now, Nia understood why she found the memories of the snowy land here. Perhaps it was because of those memories that Tahina opened this small shop, selling trivial items.

The fate that connected the two of them back then must have been designed by that middle-aged man.

Looking at Tashina now, Nia decided not to reveal the details to her. Perhaps a quiet life was the most suitable for her after experiencing the ups and downs of life.

Tina, standing by, had a feeling: "I see, no wonder the teacher rushed in as soon as he saw the name of the store."

Nia smiled and said, "Time has passed, and these unforgettable scenes are deeply etched in my mind." Her voice was filled with emotion and nostalgia, as if she was recalling those good times. Her eyes gleamed, revealing her cherishment and longing for the past.

"Thank you for your kind words. I've finally come to terms with it. Life is good the way it is now."

Tashina stood at the dock, where she saw Nia off.

"Oh, I never thought that we are so destined to meet here again after ten years." Nia raised her shoulders and responded with a smile, which earned her a genuine smile from Tashina.

Nia's adjutant informed her that everything had been arranged and they could set off at any time.

"Will you stay here? Please let me know if there's anything I can do for you."

Tashina smiled and shook her head.

"The grace you have bestowed upon me is sufficient. This is the life my heart desires. Fengshou Island is the home of my soul."

"Then, we'll meet again someday if we're lucky."

As the warship slowly left the port, Tahina, dressed in a plain dress, stared at the ship that was moving away, then turned and left the dock.

Tahina walked to the door of the store, looked up at the plaque that said "Selling Sundry Items", sighed softly, and a warm smile appeared on the corners of her mouth.

Just as the name of Fengshou Island implies, she wants to guard this shop and the peaceful life like the wind.
