Time Travel: Age of Discovery
Chapter 173 On the verge of limit
Taya had no time to worry about others now. She had to get that person to the designated location before she could start her plan. At this moment, she was thinking about how many people she should bring with her.
If it wasn't absolutely necessary, Taya would have preferred to go alone, but that would have been too contrived, since she would have had to create a scenario where she captured Luznandi and was accidentally witnessed by Doflamingo. Acting alone would have been uncharacteristic of the Navy.
Furthermore, Taya had no intention of enjoying exclusive privileges. She was still under surveillance and had to be cautious. She could only minimize the number of people accompanying her, only bringing enough key personnel, as fighting was inevitable on this trip.
While Doflamingo currently posed no threat, his men might be exploited as a weakness. While trapping Luznandi was easy, his men were no ordinary force. After all, the main purpose of this trip was to safely deliver Luznandi to the Doflamingo family, not to embark on a battle.
"It's really disturbing."
Just then, the sounds of a fleet sailing and a bustling crowd could be heard outside the cabin. Unable to resist, Taya went out to investigate. She saw a warship slowly approaching the harbor, and out of it jumped a pink-haired sailor named Tina.
Tina wore a cold expression, as cold as a woman on a glacier. Behind her was a group of well-trained marines. She didn't notice Taya approaching, instead directing her men to carry supplies as she headed straight for the administrative building.
I never thought Tina could be so calm. Taya watched her leave, feeling very sad.
"Lieutenant General Taya?" A voice interrupted her thoughts. Taya turned around and found her adjutant standing beside her, holding documents and looking at her curiously.
"Uh, what's wrong?"
"Are we leaving?"
Taya then remembered her duties, but she still asked her lieutenant to count the number of people and try to reduce the expedition to a minimum. In the end, Taya decided to take only her lieutenant, navigator, helmsman, and other eight people, plus Ruznandi.
Returning to the cabin, Taya could still feel Ruznandi's presence. Although the Silence Fruit was eliminating the sound, his every move could not escape Taya's perception.
It's no exaggeration to say that her room was the safest in this cabin. If Taya were outside, who would have the courage, and who would wander here?
According to the plan, Taya will take advantage of the moonlight to let Luznandi escape at the edge of an island, and easily achieve this by using the power of the Silence Fruit. Then, she will proceed according to the original plan and wait for the bounty order to be delivered to Doflamingo's pirate ship. The initial goal will be achieved.
The second step is to wait for Doflamingo to complete the deal, and then stage a naval battle in the nearby waters. Of course, it's all a show, but one needs to display superb acting skills to avoid being exposed.
Once successful, everything will be over, and the rest depends on how Ruznandi acts.
Ten minutes later, Taya had finished packing and was about to start the boat when she suddenly saw a man speeding towards her from a distance, raising a cloud of dust.
"Wait a minute! Mentor Taya!"
Tina leaped up in the astonished eyes of everyone, and landed on the deck of the warship in a few steps.
"Are you going out to sea? Tina wants to go too."
"..."
Taya was at a loss for words, but Tina's company wasn't a bad thing. She just hoped Luznandi wouldn't make any careless mistakes before they arrived. While Taya could coax Tina back, she knew a battle would be a chance for her to hone her skills. So, she decided to take her with her.
But to others, this seems more like the mentality of a parent who spoils his child.
"Teacher Taya, what is the purpose of this voyage?"
Tina blinked and asked. Taya smiled helplessly. Didn't the other party worry about being blamed for following her without permission?
Tina claimed she had just completed a mission and was temporarily free. She had just met Master Saufa and was told that Taya was leaving for the day, so she immediately turned back, wanting only to follow her mentor.
Taya was speechless, feeling mixed emotions.
"Ah, little girl. Well, it won't be boring with you around. I'll just teach you a domineering move."
"Great!"
The warship was heading towards its designated destination, while in Taya's room, Luznandi accidentally knocked over the table and chairs, but the banging noise was blocked out by the soundproof wall.
However, Taya did not know that her room would be destroyed after she arrived at her destination.
.......
Somewhere in the Grand Line, warships continued their cruise. Taya hung up the Den Den Mushi. She had just given a routine work report. Even if the mission was secret, her report to Zhan Guo was still essential. Of course, to prevent eavesdropping, she was only reporting on routine navigation matters.
Roznandi actually has a special contact method with Sengoku, a unique password, which is also a precautionary measure arranged by Sengoku in advance to prevent Den Den Mushi from being monitored.
As they neared their destination, Luznandi would disembark and await the next stage of the operation. According to their agreement, he would be assigned the identity of a wanted pirate with at least a pirate ship of his own, otherwise the mere claim of a capture would be unreliable. To this end, they had already prepared their ship, awaiting the negotiation with Doflamingo.
She wanted to go back to her room to rest for a while, but she was afraid that Tina would suddenly discover Luznandi. During this time, Taya slept on the floor in the office under the pretext of dealing with documents, and locked the door. It would only be opened when food was delivered to Luznandi's room.
Fortunately, no one noticed, and Taya finally got through these days of anxiety safely. In comparison, Luznandi's life was even more difficult. Since boarding the ship, he had only sneaked out to breathe fresh air in the dead of night and had spent the rest of his time hiding in his room. Although he was very tolerant of loneliness, he was now at his limit.
"Is everything ready? However, the transaction location is still uncertain. If it's far away from us, won't it take a long time?"
Taya returned to the room and locked the door from the inside. Through the power of Luznandi's Silence Fruit, the two of them talked freely without worrying about the volume of their voices...
