Time Travel: Age of Discovery

Chapter 130 is really worrying

There must be a deeper meaning to what Master Teya said, and I just need to patiently explore it. After about a cup of tea, she suddenly heard someone whispering on the other side of the woods. Her heart suddenly trembled, and she hurried towards Teya, who was still groping in the grass.

When she reached the edge of a rock, Tina accidentally tripped over something under her feet and nearly fell.

However, the object her toes touched felt strange, sparking her curiosity. She bent down to examine it. Pushing aside the weeds, she uncovered an iron hook. As she fumbled with it, a chain slipped quietly into her hand.

This is the location of a secret portal, which makes Tina secretly happy.

When he wanted to call Teya to watch with him, he noticed someone approaching quietly, so he moved gently to Teya's side.

"Where is the Captain? He hasn't been back for so long, and I'm really worried."

"Unknown. The captain has never mentioned this island before."

As the two men talked closer, the man with the scar and the man wearing a fur hat walked out of the woods, and both frowned when they saw this scene.

"Captain?" The scarred man suddenly became suspicious, and then the two of them walked forward.

At that moment, a gentle sound of footsteps could be heard from behind the boulder. The two men immediately held their breath, each drawing their weapons, and slowly approached the boulder. Halfway there, a familiar figure emerged from behind the boulder, staring at them expressionlessly.

The scarred man quickly put away his weapon and said respectfully, "Captain."

"Didn't I tell you to wait here?" This person was the captain, and next to him was an open cellar cover.

The captain scolded the two, and they left in shame. Watching them go, the captain sneered, his gaze fixed on the unconscious Teja and Tina. It turned out that when he opened the cellar, he had set a trap under the cover, and he had never imagined that the two would stray into it.

Although it was miyan poison, it was enough to temporarily induce sleep. On the black market, miyan was cheap, but compared to xiaodu cigarettes, it was already astronomical in price, and the deadly poisonous smoke was even more priceless.

The little miyan in the captain's hand was a relic from the past. Due to time constraints, he had no other choice. However, the captain wanted to kill Teya himself, so he chose miyan.

The captain drew the dagger from his waist, hesitated for a moment, and sheathed it again. His gaze turned to the unconscious Tina, and evil thoughts began to grow within him. With this thought in mind, the captain walked over to Tina and gently pinched her cheek. The tenderness of his touch brought a lewd smile to his lips.

"We have plenty of time, so why not enjoy it first."

However, the captain did not know that his move was like playing with a chestnut on the fire.

Just as the captain was about to attack, Teya had quietly stood behind him. By the time the captain realized what was happening, Teya had already hit him hard on the back of the head, knocking him unconscious. The poor captain hadn't even reacted before he fell into a coma again.

Teya hurried forward to check on Tina lying on the ground. Fortunately, her breathing was still steady, so it seemed that miyan was not poisonous.

When the smoke erupted just now, Thea held his breath in time, but Tina was still not spared. Even though Thea tried his best to wave away the smoke and make room for her, he accidentally inhaled some.

Seeing this, Teya made a quick decision, fell to the ground and pretended to faint, luring the captain into taking the bait.

Both sides used tricks, but in the end, Teya was the better one. He took out a pair of seastone handcuffs from his waist, which were given to him by Tina. As for their origin, Teya did not know, but they were perfect for restraining the captain at this moment.

Thea handcuffed the captain and bound him to a nearby boulder. The captain was now as limp as mud. Afterward, Thea approached the boulder and saw Tina, still unconscious, reclining against it. He fell into deep thought.

He first gently pushed Tina's shoulders twice, then patted her cheek, but neither of them worked to wake her up.

However, Teya did not dare to leave Tina here alone. If those pirates who were on the lookout made a surprise attack, the consequences would be disastrous.

In desperation, Teya had to pick up the unconscious Tina and go down the stairs. Although he had noticed the captain coming from below and thought there was no ambush, Teya still stepped cautiously to prevent any further accidents.

Soon, Thea came to a half-open door, with a ray of light coming through the gap.

Teya reached out and pushed the door, which opened with a click. Unexpectedly, he saw a space with ventilation holes. Despite being underground, he didn't feel stuffy at all; the air flowed well. So Teya stepped sideways and continued to explore deeper.

Not long after they walked, Teya saw a pile of glittering gold, piled up like a mountain, which was jaw-dropping. Compared to the money he had seen before, the gold before him shocked Teya even more.

Not only that, there are more than a dozen boxes of treasures neatly stacked on the ground, including exotic jewels, gorgeous swords, and gold coins, which complement each other, just like a scene from a comic book.

"This situation and this scene are truly the richest in the world."

Thea had never expected the pirate to amass such wealth; such a vast fortune was no easy feat. He didn't know what the man in the pot was up to, but if he calculated the gold in liters, the amount must be staggering.

After questioning Tina about the Chacha Pirates, the information she received differed slightly from what Teya had previously known. The captain's bounty should have been high, but due to a lack of evidence for many of his crimes, he was given a 40 million berry bounty based on only a few confirmed facts. However, one thing was clear: he had committed numerous crimes, and the gold was undoubtedly ill-gotten gains.

Hearing this, Teya felt a little relieved. After all, he didn't want to wait until everything was settled before coming up with some plot twist to forcibly whitewash the villain. That would be too contrived. Such plots were acceptable occasionally, but if they were repeated repeatedly, it would be unbecoming.
