Chapter 118: The Vicious Light Revealed

The group arrived at the foot of the mountain range and passed through the forest. Under the mountain range, they suddenly saw the entrance to a cave.

Everyone then walked in. Although the young man did not say a word, his eyes kept looking around.

Inside the cave, there was a torch every few steps, but the path was not long, and everyone soon went deep into the cave.

This is a natural cave with a vast space inside, where many people dressed as pirates are walking around.

"Quick!"

The young man paused for a moment, and the pirates behind him pushed and urged him to move forward.

Along the way, many pirates bowed and scraped to the scarred man, but when they looked at the young man, they showed their fierce eyes, and some even touched him as if they wanted to tease him.

Until deep into the cave.

"Master Captain."

The scarred man stood behind a man, bowed his head respectfully, and spoke with awe.

This man was wearing a cloak similar to a navy cape, but this attire was the hallmark of many pirate captains.

The man had his back to them and his face was difficult to discern. Only the steam rising in front of him revealed his presence. As for what he was doing, no one knew.

"Lang, please sit down."

The scarred man walked over to the captain, but when he sat down he looked very uncomfortable, and was obviously preparing his words.

Just as he was about to speak, the captain waved his hand to stop him. The captain picked up an exquisite teapot on the table, filled a cup of tea and handed it to the scarred man.

"I already know about this. Have you found it?"

"Not yet, but I have found..."

The scarred man approached the captain and reported the details truthfully, not daring to hide anything.

After hearing this, the captain did not show any obvious reaction on his face. He just turned his head and glanced at the young man. At this moment, the young man was able to see the captain's true face.

Unlike the ferocious appearance of ordinary pirates, this man gave the impression of an ordinary person, with a smile on his face, making it hard to imagine he was a pirate. However, the clothes he wore clearly revealed his identity.

At this moment, the captain slowly walked towards the young man and asked with a smile: "You stole my pirate group's ship and sold it, right? How much did you get for it?"

"Eight...Eight hundred thousand Baileys."

The captain stood near the young man, patted him on the shoulder, and then laughed out loud.

Beneath the seemingly calm smile, there are actually undercurrents and even murderous intent lurking.

"You know that ship means a lot to us."

The captain spoke each word with a certain degree of intimidation.

The young man immediately knelt down and begged for mercy, knowing that he had angered these people, but he was unwilling to die, even if it meant giving up his money and becoming a beggar.

"Only the dead can keep secrets, but I'm in a good mood today, so I'll spare your life for now."

The young man was delighted to hear this and hurriedly thanked the captain. Just as he was about to stand up, the captain grabbed his throat with one hand.

A burst of hot air instantly rushed into the young man's mouth, and he let out a shrill scream. The people around him stopped in shock, fearing that they would witness this scene.

The young man knelt on the ground, covering his mouth with trembling hands, his face distorted, but he couldn't make a sound.

Blood was oozing from the corner of his mouth, and his tongue slipped out of his mouth and rolled to the ground, steaming hot, obviously having been scalded.

"Throw him back to where he came from. Remember, don't let him die. I said I would spare his life."

The captain spoke calmly, but many of the pirates around him were pale and terrified.

The two pirates dragged the young man away, and the captain glanced at the scarred man.

"Tonight, you will lead your men to patrol the island and make sure to find the ship."

"As ordered!"

After everyone left, the captain sat back down at the table and sipped the tea he had just made.

Thinking of the secret on the ship that only he knew, the teacup in the man's hand suddenly broke, and the tea flowed down his palm, then turned into a white smoke and rose up.

The man looked at the broken teacup indifferently, then placed his hand on the teapot, his eyes fixed on the front.

Pirate Hunter?

I never thought that when I was about to say goodbye to the ocean, I would have to put an end to it with killing.

I thought I would meet a few patrolling pirates on the road, but I didn't see a single one as Teya went deep into the mountains.

It was already night, and the entire island was plunged into darkness, with a few faint lights flickering, perhaps fireflies flying in the air.

It is not easy to walk in the dark, not to mention that Teya did not dare to reveal his whereabouts easily at this moment, so his walking speed became slower and slower.

The road was rugged and uneven, with rocks and weeds everywhere. There was no sign of human activity at all. We didn't even encounter a single wild animal along the way.

Even when we reached the top of the mountain, we still couldn't find any sign of a campfire.

Could it be that I was a step too late and the pirates had already retreated?

Teya was full of doubts. For some reason, he always had a strange feeling, so he used his observation Haki to sense the surrounding situation.

"Ok?"

Suddenly sensing a fluctuation of human aura, Teya immediately looked in the direction of the sensation. However, the person was quite far away from him. If it weren't for his observation Haki, Teya probably wouldn't have noticed that there was someone there at all.

There was no torch lighting up the room; the man just stood quietly in the darkness.

Teya thought for a moment, and after confirming that the other party had not noticed his spying, he quietly walked towards the foot of the mountain where the man was.

As he got closer, Teya slowed down his pace to avoid deviating from his target, because he could hear the sound of people talking.

Looking through the bushes, there was only one person standing there before, but now another person walked out from behind him, holding a weapon in his hand, and came to the side of the former.

Teya, who was hiding in the bushes, stopped and listened attentively to the conversation between the two.

"Today we two brothers are on duty again."

The familiar sound of someone lighting a cigarette followed, and then someone else said, "Have you forgotten? The captain has ordered a ban on smoking today."

As soon as he finished speaking, the man quickly put out his cigarette, spat a few times, and blamed his companion for not reminding him earlier.

This surprised Thea. Did their captain know that smoking is harmful to health?

However, the following conversation between the two resolved the doubts in Teya's mind.

"You don't know, but today the captain captured the thief who stole our boat, but he ended up... Oh, it's so tragic, I can't even begin to describe it. Anyway, the captain learned that the person who bought our boat might be a pirate hunter and might cause trouble for us, so he ordered a smoking ban to avoid exposing our whereabouts."
