Demon Slayer: Upper 0 seems to be a waste

Chapter 90 It’s not a teleportation pot, it’s a time pot

Lin Guang is always polite, but he doesn't treat everyone the same. Instead, he treats each person differently and to different degrees.

For example, he doesn't need to be too polite when dealing with Akaza, but he needs to be very polite when dealing with Kokushibo, and when facing Douma, he'd better think more about himself rather than being polite.

He used to be very obedient to Yuhu, but later on, he decided to treat him the same way as Douma. Before considering the other person's feelings, it's best to think about yourself first.

For example, if you can kick the door open with your head, it is best not to consider talking face to face.

Otherwise, this is the price.

The pot is not comfortable.

At first it was a normal pot. When I fell into it, my arm hit the hard wall inside. But as I touched the bottom, what I felt on my back was not the normal bottom of the pot, but a layer of soft, resilient thing. When I fell on the surface, it bounced up a little. When I touched it with my palm, it felt soft and sticky. It was not good, but still bearable.

But as the weight pressed on it, the body gradually sank, as if being swallowed by a swamp, being dragged downward by this unknown substance.

I don't know if it can be described as watery mucus wrapping around his body, like water in a gourd. Everything inside was shaking and rotating as its owner moved. Lin Guang couldn't tell up from down, nor did he remember which direction he fell from. He was just constantly being turned over in the chaos.

It is said to be something like water, but it is not really water, because Lin Guang can still breathe, but it is a little difficult because he keeps bumping into something, and when he tries to resist, all he can feel is something more elastic and sticky.

Ghosts have far superior vision to humans. Even on a pitch-black night with clouds obscuring the moon, they can clearly see everything within their field of vision. Lin Guang tried to discern what was approaching in the complete darkness, but without any light source, his eyes were of limited use.

He couldn't see clearly what was blocking his way, but he soon realized that there were other smaller objects constantly bumping into him. There were many of them, rubbing against him again and again. Lin Guang tried to grab one and grope around.

The smooth curves, the hard touch, and the layers of scales beneath his touch made him realize that it was a fish.

But why are there fish? Did the Jade Pot fill its pot with fish? What's the purpose? To eat them? Aren't ghosts not allowed to eat these?

Does he usually put his works in the pot to feed the fish?

Lin Guang couldn't figure it out, nor did he really want to think about the purpose of this group of fish at this time, because he was caught by something.

The thing he kept bumping into but couldn't figure out what it was was also a living thing. Something wrapped around his body and dragged him deeper into the center. He still couldn't see clearly and still had difficulty breathing. And because of the thing wrapping around him, breathing became even more difficult.

Entanglement seemed to be just the instinct of this thing, because it didn't do anything else, but this alone was enough to be disturbing, and Lin Guang didn't even have the mind to deal with this annoying thing at the moment.

How long will it take to get out?

This was the only issue that concerned Lin Guang.

If he couldn't get out, he would consider knocking Akaza on the head to ask him for help.

----

The pot on the table shook without warning, and swayed left and right without anyone touching it, and even fell off the table to the ground.

The pot was not made by humans and was of very good quality. It only made a dull sound when it fell to the ground.

Douma walked over with great interest and looked at the pot, which looked so strange for the first time since it was sent to him.

Was it the Jade Pot that was about to come over? But hadn't he made another one himself in the past? Why would he move this pot?

Moreover, even if he wanted to come here himself, there has never been such a big commotion...

While Douma tilted his head and was still considering whether to reach out his hand, the pot stood up again from its tilted position on the ground and returned to normal. But it was only for a brief moment, and the next second Douma clearly caught the sound of water.

He subconsciously took two steps back, and sure enough, the next second, a stream of unknown liquid gushed out of the pot, and it seemed to be carrying something large as it went up.

"Ah, this is a truly generous gift... Your Excellency Yuhu."

Douma crossed his arms and watched the water column rushing straight to the ceiling, surging continuously until a dull "bang" sound came from inside.

Still alive?

The thing wrapped in the black water finally revealed its true appearance. The huge octopus tentacles burst open. Douma looked at the small face in the center of those tentacles, frowning and not yet retracting its legs that had just kicked out. Surprise was hard to hide in his eyes.

"Wow. What a unique way to make an entrance."

----

What a terrible trip.

From the moment he entered the vehicle, to the entire journey, to the final destination, nothing could make Lin Guang happy.

He originally wanted to ignore those troublesome things, but wrapping up and strangling seemed to be their instinct. At first, he could still ignore them, but the gradually growing presence and the finally broken bones told Lin Guang that he had to pay attention to these annoying things.

So there happened the scene that Douma saw.

After he finally exploded after enduring it, Lin Guang regained his freedom.

"What have you done!"

Yu Hu, who had deliberately slowed down and arrived later, saw a heartbreaking scene as soon as he appeared. The ground was covered with tentacles, some broken and some flying away. Looking around, there were only a few intact ones left.

He made such a big fuss just to let the little guy stay quietly in the pot for a short while!

"It's because that thing keeps tangling around, making my body sticky."

Lin Guang raised his head, his tone no less condescending than Yu Hu's. In that darkness, what he felt and saw was unreal, but once he left that environment, Lin Guang realized how terrible this way of traveling really was.

Those octopus tentacles soaked his entire body. Although they were called wet, in fact, it was all sticky liquid that soaked his clothes. Such clothes sticking to his body were more unbearable than simply being wet.

"Who told you to keep running around in there?"

"So I was obviously going to take the train in the first place! And my destination wasn't even here!"

"It's because you kept making trouble in there! That's why I had to find a place nearby to get out first!"

It was the first time that Douma felt ignored in his own territory, but he didn't think anything of it when he saw the big and small people arguing in front of him. He just chuckled and joined in the conversation.

"It is indeed the masterpiece of Lord Yuhu."

Douma enjoyed watching the fun, unfolding his fan to hide the smile on his face, and teasing leisurely.

"Little Rinko is so messy."

"And you! Why are you putting a pot in the house for no reason?"

?

Douma's expression froze for a moment.

Why is there still something to do with him?

Wasn't he just there to watch the fun? Wasn't there always a kettle in his room?

Didn’t he make that pot?

【tips:

1. This is a small idea that Lord Yuhu mentioned before. I will write it down now that it is appropriate. If you have anything you want to see, you can write it down and tag me. If I see something suitable, I will throw it in and write about it.

2. While this is a hilarious transitional chapter, I think it's inevitable that those tentacles would torment Rinkou. Yuhu and Akaza aren't the same type of people. Akaza isn't interested in children and wouldn't eat them. Even after learning about the special nature of Rinkou's flesh and blood, he wouldn't actively try to eat her. This is just individual variability, his personality and boundaries. But I think Yuhu had those thoughts in mind, secretly giving Rinkou food, but since Muzan wouldn't allow it, it was just a subconscious instinct, a kind of survival of the fittest. Even if he couldn't eat her, he'd still have a few bites, and Rinkou wouldn't complain. Even if he did, Yuhu didn't seem afraid of punishment. So while he might appear to have a good relationship with Rinkou, deep down, he definitely had some feelings. Personally, if I think I'm wrong, just treat it as a hilarious joke. This is just my own interpretation, and it's a bit of a twisted logic.

3. We should be entering the main storyline in another three or five chapters. I'm thinking about the last few years, so if we're quick, we might be there in two. I patted my chin. The main storyline probably won't change drastically, but there might be some minor tweaks. I have a rather unfortunate idea I'm currently considering. But I've already said and thought about the ending: ghosts must die.

4. But don’t worry, because I am going to write a sequel and an if-line, and I have already thought of some stories for the 2.0 plot where Rin Kou has her beans picked up by the Demon Slayer Corps.

(I've been feeling a lot of pressure in class lately, and I've been wanting to write about Rinko's rag, but considering this is a serious drama for everyone, I've been trying my best to stop myself. Is this okay?) (Additional comment: To explain, although I used the word "rag", I didn't actually mean being abused by passers-by... It's because I think ghosts are not gentle, and if they are targeted by the upper ranks, they will probably be made into a mess like a rag. I really don't understand that rag has such a fixed meaning. The original meaning is np (wiping sweat)

Because I occasionally find Rinko's interactions with the Upper Ranks quite amusing, and coupled with the idea of food, sex, and all that, I think ghosts simply abandon richer emotions, retaining only the most basic. They don't understand what love truly is, and their expression of possessiveness is... eating. You're mine, and only I can eat you. Excluding eating, there's only one more animalistic element left. It's surprising no one has mentioned this yet...

The Upper Ranks weren't worried about food to begin with, so I imagined they might be a bit rude to Rinko at first, leaving her feeling rather shabby every day. Conversely, Rinko's way of expressing affection through gifts is, in contrast, more emotionally rich and at a higher level of consciousness than the other Upper Ranks. I found that contrast quite interesting, like when a lion found a rabbit that wouldn't die and repeatedly ate it to express his affection. Then the rabbit gave the lion its first bouquet of flowers. The lion asked why, and the rabbit replied, "Because the flowers are beautiful, I'm happy to see them, and I hope you'll be happy too."

However, it's a pity that there's no emotional line in the main story, so I have no room to develop these little ideas. But there is also a slight hint that Rinkou's way of expressing his love is different from other ghosts.
