HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 283 Crookshanks, Black Feather

Narelle felt strange, but Harry was not allowed to be visited again. Madam Pomfrey said that he had suffered a serious psychological shock and that other people's visits would not be good for his recovery.

This is really bad news.

Nalilian was in a very bad mood because of this.

This led to Cedric trying to cheer her up all the way back.

"Do you want to get some sleep?" Cedric whispered in her ear.

Nalilian leaned in his arms, looked at the scenery outside the window, and shook her head, "I'm not sleepy, Ced."

After getting off at King's Cross Station, Cedric took a taxi to take her home.

"You're back," Mrs. Ende opened the door to greet her.

"Mom!" Nalilian shouted, and couldn't help hugging her, burying herself in her arms, and inexplicably wanted to cry.

"You're so grown up, yet you still act like a spoiled child." Mrs. Ende patted her head, looked at Cedric, and said with a smile, "Thank you for your hard work, Cedric, for sending her here."

"No, aunt," Cedric replied politely, looking at Nalilian.

Mrs. Ende patted Nalilian and said, "You're still acting like a spoiled child. Said is watching."

"It won't hurt to let him see it," Nalilian said, pushing herself up from her arms.

Mrs. Ender looked at Cedric and said, "It's so late. Do you want to stay here, Cedric? I've already prepared dinner."

"Thank you for your invitation, Mrs. Ender," Cedric declined with a smile, "but I have to hurry back to see my parents."

"But Lillian," Mrs. Ender shook her head and looked into the house.

Inside the room, Nalilian, too lazy to wait for them to finish their greetings, was dragging her suitcase with all her might.

Seeing the escalator on her way, Cedric was startled and quickly changed his words, "Then I can still disturb you for one more night, Auntie."

Mrs. Ende smiled widely, "Of course."

Cedric changed his shoes and went into the house, took the suitcase from Nalilian and carried it up to her room.

Nalilian followed him, shouting, "Slow down."

When she stepped onto the stairs, she saw another door next to hers.

She was startled.

What kind of room is that?

"What's wrong, Lillian?" Cedric put her luggage away and came out of her room. Seeing her staring blankly at one place, he couldn't help but call her.

"That room," Nalilian pointed to the door.

Cedric paused, showing a helpless expression, walked over and hugged her, bent down and kissed her lips, and said softly, "I know, Lillian, I'll stay in that room tonight."

Nalilian paused, then she remembered that this was the guest room where Said often stayed at home.

She hadn't been back for a year and had completely forgotten about me.

After dinner, Cedric helped Mrs. Ender wash the dishes, and Nalilian went back to her room to pack her luggage.

She opened the suitcase and found a fat yellow cat curled up inside.

"Crookshanks?" Narilla couldn't help shouting.

It's Hermione's cat, how did it come home with her?

"Meow," Crookshanks stood up and shook his head.

"Come out quickly," Nalilian reached out to hug it.

But it dodged for a moment, then jumped over and scratched at a corner of the suitcase.

"Come out, Crookshanks," Nallylian shouted angrily, slapping its bottom.

Did it want to damage her suitcase?

No, this suitcase is very important to her.

Crookshanks meowed and jumped out of the trunk.

Nalilian quickly went over to see if it had damaged the suitcase, but saw a black feather lying there.

Her heart suddenly skipped a beat and she almost pounced over to grab the black feather.

But after getting it, Nalilian felt confused again.

Why were there feathers in her suitcase?

"Lillian?"

At this time, there was a knock on the door and Said's voice came from outside.

Nalilian subconsciously hid the bird feather in her pocket.

Cedric pushed the door open and walked in, looking at her worriedly, "I heard a cat's cry, Lillian, did a wild cat run into your house?"

"Meow!"

Crookshanks, known as the Wildcat, made an unhappy cry.

"As expected," Cedric frowned at Crookshanks, "I'll help you drive it away."

"This is Hermione's cat, Crookshanks," Narilla quickly explained. "I don't know how it got into my suitcase and I took it home."

"Leave it here. I'll write to Hermione tomorrow and ask her to take it away."

"Okay," Cedric nodded.

At night, Narilla was lying in bed with Crookshanks curled up beside her pillow. She couldn't help but take out the bird feather and look at it.

It reflected colorful fragments of light under the moonlight, making the pearl bracelet on her wrist glow as well.

"Meow," Crookshanks stretched out his claws to grab the bird feather.

"Don't touch it," Nalilian slapped its paw.

"Meow!"

Crookshanks seemed angry, and with a cry he suddenly stood up and jumped off her bed.

"Crookshanks," Narilla quickly sat up and wanted to comfort it, but then she saw it jump onto her dressing table, rummage around in it, and pick up a pearl hairpin.

Nalilian: "..."

No!

"You can't bite that," she quickly got out of bed.

Crookshanks glanced at her, turned around, holding the pearl hairpin in his mouth, jumped off the dressing table, ran away in a few steps, and jumped onto the window.

"Crookshanks!"

Seeing it was about to run away, Nallylian hurriedly chased after it, but Crookshanks tiptoed and jumped out of the window.

Narilla opened the balcony door and chased out, but Crookshanks had already jumped down from the gap in the balcony railing.

"Crookshanks!"

Nalileen called out to it in fear and chased after it, but Crookshanks had jumped into the courtyard and disappeared.

"Lillian!"

Cedric heard her voice and walked out of the balcony door. Seeing Nalilian holding the railing with half of her body exposed, he hurried forward and pulled her into his arms.

"What's wrong? It's dangerous," he said.

"Crookshanks took my hairpin," Narilean leaned in his arms, looking at the quiet bushes in the courtyard illuminated by the moonlight, and said in a daze, "That pearl hairpin was my birthday present on my first birthday. You gave it to me..."

She stopped talking.

Was it from Seth?

A question arose in her mind.

Why is it my first birthday again?

Hasn't she... always lived here?

"Then I'll give you another one, Lillian," Cedric said gently.

Nalilian came to her senses.

Cedric leaned on top of her head, "Don't worry, I'll go get Crookshanks tomorrow too."

"Okay," Nalilian replied, and couldn't help but grab his collar, "You must find it back, it's really important to me..."

"I know," Cedric said.

Nalilian finally felt relieved and looked at her wrist.

The pearl bracelet on her wrist gleamed in the moonlight.
