HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 279 Polyjuice Potion

"Here we are, Lillian."

When Hermione received the package sent by owl, she immediately notified Narilian who was sleeping.

Nalilian opened her eyes and subconsciously touched the back of her neck, feeling the softness of the feathers.

It didn't leave.

You know, she usually can't see this little guy when she wakes up.

Nalilian picked it up and it didn't resist, because it didn't like her touching it at all.

She carefully placed it on the bedside and sat up.

Hermione was packing her backpack.

Nalilian put on her wizard robe and shoes and socks. After she was done, she glanced at the bedside table and found that the little black ball was still there. It was looking at her with its eyes open, looking very quiet. She couldn't help but put it in her pocket.

It didn't resist at all.

"Let's go, Lillian," Hermione said, having already packed her backpack.

When the two of them walked out, Lavender and Parvati just came back from outside.

"Where are you going so late?" Lavender couldn't help asking when she saw the two of them going out with their bags.

"Study," Hermione said stiffly.

She is not used to lying to her friends.

"Practice brewing potions," Narilean said, shaking the slightly heavier package Hermione had given her. "Want to try? New potion ingredients."

"Thank you, but I decline," Lavender said, refusing to talk to the two study freaks.

Parvati also chose to take her schoolbag into the dormitory.

Narilla followed Hermione out of the common room, up the stairs, and into the deserted girls' bathroom on the second floor. Only then did Hermione take out the cauldron and begin their business—

Prepare a compound decoction.

Nalilian took out a small bottle.

Hermione took it, looked at the contents, and couldn't help but sigh, "You really have it."

The steps for brewing Polyjuice Potion are very complicated. Hermione probably did it once in her second year. The ingredients needed include lacewings that have been brewed for 21 days and sap grass picked during the full moon.

Those weren't that hard to get, as they could get them in Potions class or purchase them.

The key is the fragments of African boomslang skin.

This is a rare potion ingredient that is hard to come by.

And in the small bottle that Nalilian gave her was curled up a yellow-gray African tree snake.

Last time, she relied on cooperation with Harry and others to steal the African brush snake skin fragments from Snape, but she didn't expect that Nalilian could take it out directly.

Narilean looked at the vial, "I'm still going to have to trouble you for help, Hermione."

This was exchanged for by her heart points, which cost two points less than directly exchanging it for Polyjuice Potion.

She had to do this because she had very few hearts left and needed to keep them for other things.

Hermione put the African tree snake away and started to cook lacewings.

Nalilian put down the package in her hand and took out the small black ball from her pocket.

"What is this?" Hermione looked at the little creature in surprise.

It leaned docilely on Nalilian's shoulder without struggling at all.

"My little bird," said Nalilian, reaching out to touch the other's feathers, but being avoided, she still happily touched her cheek to it.

"Is this the one you were looking for before?" Hermione reacted.

When Nalilian woke up in the morning and searched for it for a long time but couldn't find it, she thought she was dreaming.

Nalilian smiled and nodded. "It had a few broken feathers and fell out of the window. I saved it."

Hermione was startled by her smile and said, "That's great."

I haven't seen Lillian smile like this in a long time.

When they started to boil the lacewings, Hermione couldn't help but ask her doubts as she watched the liquid in the crucible boil. "Lillian, you still haven't told me why you are making Polyjuice Potion?"

Out of friendship, she agreed to this matter directly and bought all the materials, but as a friend, she wanted to know why she did this.

Nalilian paused as she picked up the bicorn horn and prepared to grind it, then sighed.

It's time to put your acting skills to the test.

"I suspected that Ced and Kersten were hiding something from me, and I wanted to become Kersten and ask him," she said.

"What are you hiding?" Hermione demanded.

Narilean didn't answer her, but whispered, "Why do you think Kersten helped you, Hermione?"

Hermione was startled.

"It's not like he's short of help," said Narilean. "If he needed to hire house-elves, he would have done it long ago instead of waiting for you to bring it up, Hermione."

Hermione nodded, having to admit it.

Senior Ende always plans ahead before doing anything.

“If he doesn’t, he should think it’s in his best interest not to do it rather than to do it,” Nalilian continued.

Hermione lost herself in thought.

This is indeed the case.

So why is he doing this?

"The Death Eaters haven't been completely wiped out," Narilean said as Hermione pondered.

Hermione's eyes widened, "You mean they're preparing to deal with the Death Eaters?

Nalilian nodded.

Hermione's expression grew serious. "I haven't thought about that yet."

Nalilian closed her eyes and said, "If possible, I don't want them to work towards this."

Hermione shook her head. "I don't think that's possible."

As worried as Senior Ende was about Nalilian, there was no way he would just ignore such a hidden danger.

After all, Narielian participated in the arrest of Death Eaters and had already formed a grudge with the Death Eaters.

Narilean sighed, "So, please, Hermione."

"I know," Hermione patted her shoulder, "Don't worry too much."

"Maybe they had planned this long ago. Look at the first two events, their performance was unexpectedly good."

Nalilian forced a smile.

I hope there won’t be any accidents with the third project.

If she had killed Crouch Jr. early, there would have been no need to worry about the Triwizard Tournament.

If there was nothing wrong with her body, she could choose to die with Voldemort.

But everything is just if.

*

The cooking time only takes one month.

During this month, Nallilian discovered that their biggest obstacle was not from her side, because Kersten didn't care about her going with Hermione.

The biggest obstacle came from Hermione.

Krum followed her.

"Goodbye, Hermione," Krum, who had sent Narilian off, would say goodbye to her like this when she was about to reunite with Hermione, and he would stare at her before saying goodbye.

Nalilian looked on speechlessly.

This Bulgarian guy pretended to be an idiot who couldn't read these two words, but he actually spoke English very well.

It's really pretentious.

"do you like him?"

Watching Krum leave, Narielian couldn't help but ask Hermione.

"What?" Hermione was panicked for a moment, "Don't talk nonsense."

She blushed.

"It's so obvious that he likes you," Nalilian said, "He's just going to ask you if you like him."

Hermione's ears turned red. "Don't talk nonsense. We are just studying together in the library. It's not the kind of relationship you think."

Nalilian said, "Actually, I think he's better than Ron."

More mature than Ron, in every aspect, including ability and mentality.

"Why are you comparing him to Ron?" Hermione couldn't stand it.

"It's obvious," Narilean said, "that you like Ron."

"I told you to stop talking nonsense," said Hermione. "How could I possibly like Ron? He doesn't support me at all and always says discouraging things. He's nothing compared to Krum—"

Her voice died away as Ron and Harry ran into them.

Ron's face froze.

Hermione waved her hands quickly, "No, Ron, it's not what you think."

Ron finally said, "Go find your Krum."

He turned and left.

Harry glanced at Narilean, who looked a little guilty.

It seems like I'm in trouble.

Harry said, "Don't worry, he might be a little mad. I'll go and talk him down."

He turned back to Ron.

Hermione looked at their backs dejectedly.

Nalilian patted her shoulder and said, "It's okay. Don't you dislike him?"

Hermione, "..."
