HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 250: Top 3 Cup, Not Participating

The Hogwarts Great Hall feels as familiar as ever, including its decorations, food, and the process of sorting new students into their houses.

Of course, the new students were particularly happy to be sorted into Hufflepuff.

Nalilian had no thoughts about it at all. She sat quietly between Kersten and Cedric and ate, even though she was being stared at like a sieve from all sides.

It wasn't until Dumbledore announced that there was a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor at Hogwarts that she managed to cheer up.

Professor Moody is coming.

she thought.

But after what happened at the Quidditch World Cup, would Crouch Jr. still disguise himself as Professor Moody?

No matter what, she had to find a way to confirm this matter.

While Narilian was thinking, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor that Dumbledore mentioned also entered the hall.

"Sorry, I'm late."

A hoarse and lazy voice sounded.

The entire auditorium fell silent, staring at the stranger who suddenly broke in.

With dark semi-long hair, cynical eyes, a high nose bridge, and a clearly defined jawline, he walked slowly into the auditorium under the gaze of everyone, causing quite a few exclamations.

It is no exaggeration to say that this is a handsome guy, a super handsome guy, but most people here don’t know him.

"Sirius?"

Only one person present recognized him.

Harry called out his godfather's name.

Meeting Harry's surprised gaze, Sirius smiled, his smile bright and lazy, and it seemed that the whole hall was brightened.

The girls let out a small exclamation.

Sirius searched for the people around Harry with his eyes, passing over Ron, Hermione who was angry with Ron, Lavender who was sitting next to Hermione, and others. When he didn't find the person he was looking for, he raised his eyebrows.

Dumbledore spoke at the right time, "Please allow me to introduce our new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, Mr. Sirius Black."

"Clap clap-!"

The auditorium was suddenly filled with thunderous applause.

The little witches didn't know much about Professor Black's past, but they could see Professor Black's appearance.

It's so handsome that I can't take my eyes off it.

Distracted by too many sights, Sirius gave up looking for the person he was looking for and walked to the seat next to Dumbledore and sat down.

The girls at the long table were talking excitedly.

"That's great. This time the professor is so handsome. My Defense Against the Dark Arts is finally saved."

"Headmaster Dumbledore has a really good eye for us. The professors he always chooses for Defense Against the Dark Arts are all very elegant."

"What is Professor Quirrell then? A house elf?"

"That's you, Professor."

"No, it's you, Professor."

"You professor!"

"Why? Why am I in sixth year and this kind of professor is teaching Defense Against the Dark Arts?! This isn't fair!"

There was only Nalilian, no surprises, only shocks.

Sirius became the professor of Defense Against the Dark Arts?

What about Professor Moody? What about Crouch Jr.?

Will the story continue to develop as it did originally? Will Sirius be the one being disguised by Crouch Jr.?

Narellean looked at Sirius, who was sitting at an angle in his seat, chatting and laughing with Professor McGonagall. What came to her mind was Hermione Crookshanks and Sirius's lover, the black-haired Death Eater, whom she had never heard of. Her heart skipped a beat.

Everything is messed up.

Nalilian's hand holding the knife couldn't stop shaking.

What happens next? Will something else happen to Said?

While she was lost in thought, her hand was held.

She looked over and saw it was Kerston.

When everyone's attention was on Sirius, he looked at her, "Don't worry."

Nalilian was stunned.

"Lillian?"

Cedric also noticed her uneasiness and quietly took her other hand.

Nalilian lowered her eyes and slowly held their hands tightly.

"Besides the good news that there is a new Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, there is another good news."

Dumbledore said with a smile after the discussion about Sirius in the Great Hall subsided.

"In the coming months, Hogwarts will host a very exciting event, an event that has not been held for over a century. I am honored to tell you that the Triwizard Tournament will be held here."

The boys who had previously been indifferent to Sirius's arrival exclaimed in surprise, but the children in the lower grades all had confused expressions.

Dumbledore began to explain, "As we all know, the Triwizard Tournament was a friendly match held seven hundred years ago between three European houses: Beauxbatons in France, Durmstrang in Germany, and us, Hogwarts. Each house could select a champion to participate in the competition. A total of three champions would compete in three magical events."

When he mentioned this, many young wizards looked at Cedric and Keston.

Cedric and Kersten didn't care, but Nalilian tightened her grip on their hands.

"This tournament was held every five years, rotating among the three colleges. Unfortunately, many people died, so it was discontinued," Dumbledore said. "But our Department of International Magical Cooperation and the Department of Magical Sports and Games believe that the time is right to try it again. We have also done a lot of work to ensure the safety of every champion."

certainly not.

Nalilian held their hands very tightly.

Dumbledore continued, "In October, the headmasters of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang will bring their competitors. The ceremony to select the champion will be held on Halloween. An impartial judge will choose the most qualified champion to participate in the Triwizard Cup and win honor for their house. The winner will receive a reward of 1 gold Galleons."

This time it was the boys' turn to talk excitedly.

"1 gold Galleons?!"

"How about giving it a try?"

"Aren't you afraid of death?"

"Anyway, the principal said there's no danger, so it won't hurt to try! You'll still be the most powerful person in the school by then."

Hearing these words, Nalilian gritted her teeth and looked at Cedric, who was also looking at her and was stunned when he met her gaze.

Nalilian ignored it and said almost pleadingly, "You're not going to attend, are you, Ced?"

Cedric was stunned, looking at the worry and pleading in her eyes, he reached out and touched her pale cheek, although he didn't understand why she was so worried, but the idea of participating in it also disappeared.

"I'm not participating, Lillian," he said.

Nalilian let go of Kersten and threw herself into his arms, hugging him tightly, "Don't join in, Ced."

This was the safest solution she could think of.

Kerston looked at the two people hugging each other, looked at Narilean's hand being released, silently put his hand away, and looked at Dumbledore who was sitting on the main seat.

He quietly announced the final piece of news, "Of course, for safety reasons, only contestants who are seventeen years old or older can participate in this competition."

This news caused many people to exclaim in dissatisfaction.

Especially the young wizards under the age of seventeen who are full of ambition and want to sign up.

"This is for everyone's safety," Dumbledore said uncompromisingly. "There will be an absolutely impartial judge to determine the champions of this Triwizard Cup. I promise."
