HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 23 Books are the ladder to human sleep

At the Hufflepuff party, Narilla stayed up a little late before being sent back by Kerston.

When she entered the Gryffindor common room, she found that there was also a party going on there, or a celebration, but it was almost coming to an end.

As a member of Gryffindor, Narilla shamelessly joined in, took a bite of the cake on the table, and then politely put it down.

This thing is produced by the Hogwarts kitchen and can be seen very often. Just like the dishes in the school cafeteria that never change, she is already tired of it.

"Oh, look who I found?"

A nightmarish voice rang out, and two elbows pressed down on Nalilian's shoulders.

"Na Lilian, where have you been?"

"You weren't at the party just now."

"You come and steal the fruits of our labor."

"A cake stolen from the kitchen."

"Tell me, did you go to that foodie Hufflepuff's place?"

The Weasley twins asked, one on each side of her, making it impossible for her to escape.

Nalilian surrendered, took out the candy from her pocket, and said as if offering a sacrifice, "I was wrong, please forgive me."

The Weasley twins simultaneously snatched a handful of candy from her palm, saying that was good enough before letting her go.

Narellean ran away from the Weasley twins as if for her life. She was not good at dealing with boys who loved to play pranks, perhaps because her level of pranks was lower than those of these two demons.

Hermione noticed her and waved to her. Ron and Harry were beside her. The three of them were gathered around a small cake, looking a little pitiful.

Nalilian ran over, grabbed the fruit candies from the bottom of the bag, and spread them on the table, making it look like a colorful painting.

Ron exclaimed that she was indeed Santa Claus, picked up a lemon-flavored candy and put it in his mouth, while Harry chose grape-flavored gummy candy.

Hermione didn't eat the sweets, but she still had a drawer of Narilian's candies and cookies in her dorm cabinet.

She was anxious to tell Nalilian something important—

Snape wanted Professor Quirrell, the Defense Against the Dark Arts professor, to help him hold back the three-headed dog Fluffy so he could get the Philosopher's Stone.

Harry heard all this with his own ears.

"Snape can't get the Philosopher's Stone!"

Ron made a vague declaration while chewing some candy, his saliva splattering, and he didn't sound very imposing at all.

Nalilian remembered that Professor Quirrell was a monster with Voldemort's face on his head.

Then what Harry heard should be the conversation between Voldemort and Professor Quirrell.

Over the next few days, Harry and the others tried to prevent Snape from forcing Professor Quirrell to steal the Philosopher's Stone.

From time to time they would go to the corridor to listen to Fluffy's voice to make sure the three-headed dog was still there and that Snape had not broken in.

Quirrell did not seem to succumb to Snape and helped him trap the three-headed dog Fluffy, which greatly increased the protagonists' favorability and made Harry look at him differently. Ron asked the students who disliked Professor Quirrell's stuttering in class to speak less.

Their heartfelt protection was really adorable. Fortunately, Kerston would usually come to pick her up, otherwise she was afraid that she would laugh out loud after hearing the other three little wizards praising Quirrell.

But she soon stopped laughing because Kerston and Cedric actually started preparing for the review and gave her a review schedule.

"This is my first-year review schedule. The course progress should be similar to yours," Kerston said, leaving her no room to refuse the review.

Nalilian saw the knowledge points listed on the schedule, comforted herself that there were not many, and followed Kerston and Cedric to review in the library.

But the top students made a wise decision, as their professors assigned them a large amount of homework during the upcoming Easter holiday.

There was a lot of knowledge in it, and Nalilian found that she could remember it without even flipping through the book.

Finish the homework quickly, and then review it miserably.

If I had known this, I wouldn’t have finished my homework so quickly.

Soon she met her fellow sufferers - Harry and Ron, who also came to the library to study under Hermione's coercion, with obvious reluctance on their faces.

The two tables of people were sitting not far away from each other. Nalilian felt very sympathetic towards them, so she tore off a piece of parchment, wrote "Why are you here?" on it, crumpled it into a small ball and threw it over.

After throwing it away, she quickly pretended to read a book.

The paper ball fell on the table next to Harry. He glanced at Hermione, picked it up, unfolded it, wrote on the paper, and when he was done he threw it back to Narilla.

Narilian noticed it out of the corner of her eye, picked up the paper and unfolded it. It said "Hermione will start reviewing now, we are doing homework" with a worried expression drawn on it.

After reading it, she chuckled and wrote, "Me too. My brother forced me to start reviewing," attached a crying emoticon, then crumpled it into a ball and threw it over.

The two of them chatted and complained back and forth, throwing paper balls at each other until Nalilian was caught by Kston.

"Read your book carefully," Kersten confiscated the paper ball thrown by Harry.

He knocked Nalilian on the head, glanced at Harry, and said to her, "If you let me catch you again, you will move to the inner position."

Wouldn't that mean they wouldn't even have the chance to look at each other?

Nalilinn looked at Harry, who looked helpless, with red ears and a face full of shyness as if he had been caught. Nalilinn gave him a pity look, and then was caught by Kerston to read a book.

When Narillian was reading and falling asleep, Hagrid came into the library at some point, seemed to be hiding something in his arms, and left in a hurry.

Hermione and the others discussed this matter, and Ron went to find Hagrid's book because he couldn't stand studying.

Nalilian opened her eyelids and looked at them, but she couldn't stand the sleepiness anymore, so she lay down on the table and closed her eyes.

She fell asleep quickly and had a very sweet and dark dream.

It is said that books are the ladder for people to fall asleep. Before falling asleep, Nalilian felt that this was a true truth of life.

When Nalilian woke up, she was woken up by Kerston. She saw Hermione and others walking out of the library with sleepy eyes.

Nalilian was shocked. Did they go to dinner? She actually slept for so long.

And are Kxton and Cedric really learning machines and don’t need to eat?

But the situation didn't seem to be what she thought. After the three people came back, they sat in their original seats and kept stealing glances at her.

In the end, they wrote a ball of paper and Harry, who was closest to her, threw it to her.

Nalilian stole a glance at Kerston and Cedric, and seeing that they were both concentrating on writing something, she unfolded the paper ball, which read:

"Hagrid has a dragon egg, which is illegal. It's a Norwegian Ridgeback!"

Although it was just one sentence, the handwriting in each of the three paragraphs was different, and Nalilian could easily guess who wrote it.

The middle sentence must have been written by Hermione, who cares most about rules and punishments. The first sentence was written by Harry, who focuses on realistic situations. The last sentence was written by Ron, who cares more about the surprise of things.

Nalilian wrote "What should I do?" on the back of the paper ball and threw it back.

After a while they gave her the paper ball back, but this time it was taken away by Kerston.

"Sit inside," he said mercilessly.

Nalilian looked at them pitifully, and then was taken to the inside by Kerston and started reviewing again.

After studying until dark and having dinner in the Great Hall, Nalilian followed Hermione and the others back to the common room, only to realize that they had no idea what to do.

How can you stop a fan of magical creatures from raising a dragon? The answer is, there is no way.
