HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob
Chapter 190 Bad Guy, Redemption
"Have you told anyone about this?" asked Nalilian.
"No," Hermione shook her head. She had only just realized this today and had come to discuss it with Narilian.
"We should ask Headmaster Dumbledore. You know how dangerous werewolves are and shouldn't be teaching at Hogwarts," she said, looking pale and pathetic.
Narilla knew how unwelcome werewolves were. They were even less welcome than Muggle wizards like them. The main reason was that this was a school, and there were too many cases of children becoming werewolves after being bitten by werewolves during the reign of Voldemort. Even though Professor Lupin was a victim of a werewolf bite in the last era, his existence would arouse panic and anger among wizard parents.
"But Hermione," said Narilean, "do you think Professor Lupin is a bad man?"
She had no idea about Professor Lupin teaching at Hogwarts.
However, they cannot be the ones to expose this matter.
After all, Professor Lupin is a good friend of Harry's godfather Sirius Black, and it was Headmaster Dumbledore who agreed to Professor Lupin's teaching at Hogwarts. Both of them are helping Professor Lupin, especially Headmaster Dumbledore.
If they expose this, they will offend them.
They are not Harry, but Headmaster Dumbledore's favorite little wizard, who can ask him any questions he wants. She is worried that he will hate her. After all, his favorability towards her is only in his early fifties. Especially since Kersten needs to go out with Headmaster Dumbledore frequently, she doesn't want to add any burden to him.
"Bad guy?" Hermione paused and shook her head slowly. "I know Professor Lupin is a good person. He must be a good person."
"But werewolves aren't defined by whether they're bad or not, Lillian."
"What if Professor Lupin couldn't control himself and bit a student."
She looked worried, "No matter how good he is by then, he will end up in Azkaban."
"That's not something we should worry about, Hermione," Narilean grabbed her hand. She was shaking. "We should trust Headmaster Dumbledore."
She looked at Hermione. She knew why Hermione didn't consult Harry and Ron immediately. She subconsciously realized that this matter could not be solved by questioning Headmaster Dumbledore. After all, she would most likely persuade her to keep the matter secret. Most importantly -
"And we have no evidence."
She voiced Hermione's worst fears.
Hermione's guess was completely groundless. Even if she believed Hermione because she knew about it, it could be covered up by Headmaster Dumbledore's casual remark "Don't make trouble."
Hermione fell silent, and Narilean stared at her until she sighed.
"Why did Headmaster Dumbledore let Professor Lupin teach?" she said dejectedly.
Narilla knew she had compromised, and she gently advised, "If Professor Lupin doesn't teach, what can he do?"
There is no place for werewolves in wizarding society, and the Ministry of Magic will not provide subsidies to werewolves. They believe that werewolves should live in the woods.
Shouldn't live as a wizard.
They live a very difficult life, especially those at the bottom of society who have a conscience like Professor Lupin. If they don't go along with other werewolves and stick together for warmth, then this wizarding world is a hell for them.
Hermione's eyelashes trembled. Narilean knew that she had softened her heart, so she continued to speak with effort, "Let him live a quiet life, Hermione. After all, this will be one of the few times in her life where she will not be discriminated against and will be respected by the young wizards."
"You know, Hermione, his life in wizarding society is a hundred times harder than that of Muggle wizards like us."
Hermione held her hand tightly, "Don't, don't let anything happen."
"No," said Nalilian, who also held her hand tightly, "nothing will happen."
*
As for the day of the Gryffindor and Hufflepuff match, it was a beautiful sunny day, but Narielian did not attend.
The palms and backs of her hands are all flesh, she can't let go.
This made it seem like she was the only one in the school who didn't go to watch the game.
Especially in the afternoon, the hall was empty, with only her and Headmaster Dumbledore having dinner.
Because as early as when Gryffindor and Slytherin were competing, Harry's rocket crossbow had already caused a sensation in the whole school.
This resulted in all the young wizards in the school running to watch the Quidditch match every time there was a Gryffindor match, just to catch a glimpse of the legendary rocket crossbow that only appeared in newspapers.
Of course, Nalilian had no interest in the rocket crossbow, because he had already vomited when watching the Gryffindor and the Ditch team training.
And after Hufflepuff won the last match against Ravenclaw, Kerston sent a rocket crossbow to Ced, which made this thing even less surprising.
Especially since that bastard, Kerston, hadn't corresponded with her for so long and yet he actually sent a gift to Ced, she was even less interested in the broom he had bought her.
The auditorium was exceptionally empty, and it seemed that only the sound of knives and forks could be heard.
Nalilian showed no interest in the meal in front of her. She just soaked a piece of bread in juice and put it in her mouth.
In fact, the correct way to eat it is to spread jam on it, but the jam is too sweet.
The lighter the dessert tastes, the more it highlights the original flavor of the ingredients and the more advanced it is.
This means that Sede’s desserts are becoming more and more sophisticated.
"Why didn't you go to the game, Miss Ender?"
While she was daydreaming, Headmaster Dumbledore, who had been used as a background during meals by Narilian, spoke.
"He even had a pleasant dinner with an old man like me."
Nalilian looked up and saw the white-bearded principal looking at him with a smile.
"Headmaster Dumbledore, you know that I have close ties with these two houses, right?" she answered tactfully.
In fact, she felt that Headmaster Dumbledore was just making small talk.
Did he think she was too lonely?
Then he should go talk to Snape, because Professor Snape looks like he will die alone.
"But you always handle it well, Miss Ender," said Dumbledore, with a playful wink.
"Hahaha," Nalilian laughed awkwardly.
That's not a good solution, that's just surviving in the cracks.
Dumbledore looked at her, this girl, who seemed very calm, and suddenly asked, "Then Miss Ende, are you willing?"
"What do you mean by voluntary?" Nalilian didn't understand.
"Volunteer to help the Gryffindor Quidditch team?" asked Dumbledore.
"Of course," Nalilian said, wondering inwardly how the principal knew everything.
"That's good," Dumbledore said, "If you need any help in the future, Miss Ende, you can come to me."
"Help?" Nalilian was stunned.
"Yes," Dumbledore looked at her with a smile, "whether it's saving a person or redeeming a person."
She should know, he thought.
She wasn't supposed to be Anna after all.
