HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 180 I Just Didn’t Expect

"Kerston, is that snowy owl coming for you?"

Inside the Irish team's training ground, the players who had just finished training and were sitting on the ground were looking at the white owl circling in the sky. After winking at each other, the team's good captain Aidan Linzi finally spoke to the young man in the corner.

In a corner of the stadium, a young man in a dark wizard robe sat in the audience, flipping through an ancient book with a blank cover. His cold and deep eyebrows carried a sense of indifference that kept strangers away.

"Deal with something and rest for the rest of the time."

Noticing a white owl circling in the sky, Kerston put down his book, stood up, and left the court.

The snowy owl followed him off the court.

The rest of the team finally relaxed.

They were all quite afraid of the new assistant coach.

After all, he could really use a flying broom to correct them one by one.

If the action is not done properly, you will be hit with a stick.

When they knew that this was a 17-year-old young man, some of them were not convinced that he was the one to teach them.

But after a crushing defeat in a game of Seeker chasing the Golden Snitch, they were completely convinced, and they were even more convinced when they later learned that he played goalkeeper for the Hogwarts team.

When they reached a secluded place, Kerston looked up and called out, "Kane."

The white owl spread its wings, circled and descended, landing on his shoulder and handing him the envelope it was holding in its beak.

Kerston stroked its back and took the envelope off.

The white envelope was stamped with a red postmark. He touched the corner of the envelope, where there was a mark left by her.

He opened the envelope, and a corner of the envelope showed the outline of a photo. He paused, reached out to take out the photo with a urgency that he could even notice, and when half of the photo was revealed, he was stunned.

The photo shows the girl holding her exaggerated hair accessories and facing the camera with a serious look on her face.

Lillian...

Kersten looked at her, unable to look away for a long time.

If he hadn't been able to tell before that the last time he'd asked for leave to return to Hogwarts was because Ced had written to tell him that Lillian had a cold, or because he missed her.

He understood it completely this time - he didn't want to leave her.

He took a deep breath, took out the photo, and behind it was a piece of letter paper. He hesitated for a moment, then unfolded the letter paper.

"Dear Kersten: If you're still angry, please look at the photo. I really did everything you asked. Did I give you face? So don't hide from me. I really need your reply. By Nalilian"

Kerston rubbed the familiar handwriting gently with his thumb, and he could imagine her writing a letter with her thick long hair.

He put the photo back into the envelope and held the envelope against his heart for a moment before putting it away.

Kane, the white owl on his shoulder, ruffled his hair, signaling him to reply.

Kerston simply took out a strip of meat and fed it to it, stroked its wings, and signaled it to fly back.

Kerston is a jerk!

A workaholic with a job but no family!

Nalilian didn't expect that even though she took the trouble to take a photo of him to apologize, he didn't even reply.

She stopped wearing the hair accessories after taking the photo because she thought the effect would be the same as Malfoy's. She regretfully gave up the plan to continue wearing the hair accessories and put them away.

What had she done to offend him that he wouldn't even reply to her letter?

Nalilian squatted in the owl shed, staring at the white owl Kane standing by the window and preening his feathers. The owls crowded around her all tried to rub against her.

This was what Ernest saw when he entered the Owlery.

What a familiar scene! When they came here that last time, Lillian was surrounded by owls in the same way.

But now they are strangers.

As he was staring in a trance, Nalilian moved, and he was startled. While the owls surrounding her were flapping their wings, he subconsciously hid outside the shed door. He didn't relax until he heard the girl sigh inside, and then he slowly sat down.

He looked at the letter in his hand. This seemed to be the closest he had been to her this semester.

Even when she was in class with Gryffindor, her friends would keep her away from him.

very nice.

He thought to himself, and felt worried about her sigh.

What is she worried about?

Can he be of any help?

These questions were swirling in Ernest's mind, but when Nalilian walked out, he hid in the corridor and watched her leave, not daring to show up in front of her.

He was afraid, he realized it.

When he was afraid to meet her again, she was polite and distant, as if nothing had happened between them.

Nallylian gradually accepted the fact that Kerston didn't reply to letters or return to Hogwarts, but she didn't expect something even more outrageous to happen - Kerston didn't even plan to go back for Christmas.

"Not only did he write to you saying he wouldn't be going back this Christmas, but he also asked you to send me back?"

Nalilian looked at Cedric in disbelief as he told her the news.

Cedric replied helplessly, "Yes."

"What on earth does he want?" Narilean said. "He might as well just break up with me."

"Lillian," Cedric looked at her with concern, "Don't be angry."

Seeing such a gentle Sede, Nalilian's anger subsided. She couldn't vent her anger on an innocent person.

She complained about this to her roommates in an attempt to get their support.

"Isn't this good?" asked Parvati, who had trimmed her hair short, after listening to her troubles.

"Doesn't your brother always keep you in check? Now you're free."

"Yeah, Lillian," Lavender, who was painting her nails, replied, "Homework, prep, being an assistant coach for the Quidditch team, no one's going to bother you with anything. Isn't that great?"

"Ignore her," Hermione, who was reading, also said, "She doesn't even prepare for her textbooks now."

This is enough to prove how lazy she is.

"I just," Nalilian said, mumbling softly, "it was too fast."

It was clear that there were still two years before Kxton graduated, but he seemed to have already graduated and separated from her.

She didn't expect that she would have to say goodbye to Kerston before leaving here.
