HP: Becoming a Maiden Heartthrob

Chapter 176 Make this mistake again

"woke up?"

When Nalilian opened her eyes, she saw Kerston and blinked.

Kersten lowered his eyes and looked at her, "I'm not dreaming."

"How long have you been here?" Narilian sat up. "No, where's Seth? What time is it now?"

She remembered that she had begged Seth for a long time last night about whether to go to the game, but Seth did not agree.

Then she fell asleep because she couldn't get over the cold and her body hadn't recovered.

"It's eleven in the morning and the Quidditch game is over," Kersten said, stating what she wanted to know most.

"Oh," Nalilian responded dejectedly. She missed it.

"Ced fell asleep on the sofa." Taking in her lost expression, Kersten pointed at the sofa. "He looks like he hasn't slept all night."

Nalilian looked over and saw Said sleeping soundly on the sofa wrapped in a thin blanket, his brows furrowed.

Guilt surged up in her, and she didn't dare to say that she wanted to go out and take a look. She could only curl up in the quilt and ask, "You have to tell me which team won, right?"

"Gryffindor," Kersten said.

Nalilian felt relieved and looked at him. "Did you hear that I had a cold and came back to see me?"

Kersten paused, then replied, "It just happened," he explained with a frown, "it's just break time."

"Oh," Nalilian responded, turning her head to look at Seide.

"If you don't want to make Sede worry," Kersten said, "don't do it again."

"Senior Wood is about to graduate," Narilla defended in a low voice, "His wish is for Gryffindor to win the Quidditch Cup. I just want to help him."

"Sed and I are two years away from graduation," Kersten said. "You can't take care of yourself while Sed is still here."

"So what will you do with yourself after we graduate?"

Nalilian said nothing, and Kersten seemed angry.

"Aren't you wearing the bracelet I gave you last time?"

It was Kerston who finally broke the silence, looking at her empty wrists and asking.

"That's too expensive. Tears of Venus, right?" Nalilian said. Kersten froze and opened his mouth to explain, but she continued, "Three hundred thousand gold galleons. Why would you buy me something so expensive?"

Kerston closed his eyes and defended himself, "Not many people spend money on jewelry these days. Most people are buying rocket crossbows, so it wasn't expensive when I bought it."

Nalilian gave him a questioning look. "Don't treat me like a child. The target audience for jewelry and rocket crossbows are obviously completely different."

One is a lady, the other is a Quidditch fanatic.

"There are only a few families who can afford it," Kerston said lightly.

Nalilian was speechless for a moment to refute him, because the money used by the lady to buy the jewelry also came from the family. If the person in charge of the family set his sights on the rocket crossbow, he would naturally not buy the jewelry.

"I don't dare wear it. I'm afraid of being robbed," she had to confess.

"That bracelet can change your appearance," said Kersten, knowing that Lillian would keep his gift carefully and be afraid of losing it, just as he did.

"You must wear it. The bracelet has protective magic."

She could protect him.

"I see," Nalilian said.

Kersten wouldn't force her to wear jewelry, and he had his reasons for being so stubborn this time.

"Don't worry about the Gryffindor team," Kersten said. "Wouldn't Oliver Wood want to know how the team is training?"

"I'll teach him."

Nalilian opened her eyes wide and refused without thinking, "No!"

He is completely different from her. Although she has a good relationship with Hufflepuff, she is still a Gryffindor, and he is from Hufflepuff House. If he goes to help the Gryffindor team, he will undoubtedly be betraying Hufflepuff.

He is at a critical stage in his future career, how can she let such a stain be tarnished on him, especially when he is still coaching the Irish team.

That was something far more important than what she had done.

"I was wrong." Seeing that he didn't express his opinion, Nalilian reached out and grabbed his sleeve. "I will protect myself and wear the bracelet. I won't make you and Sede worry anymore."

Kersten looked at her hand that was clutching his sleeve and asked in a low voice, "How can you promise me that?"

She will not refuse anyone who helps her, will not fight back if she is injured, and will only help others out of pity.

How long will it take for her to grow up?

"I will do it," Nalilian retracted her hand and promised, "Trust me."

She suddenly pulled her hand back. Kerston was startled and frowned as he looked at the marks on his sleeve where she had scratched him.

"What's going on here?"

When Cedric woke up, he saw the brother and sister, one sitting on the bed and the other sitting on the bed, and the air between them seemed stagnant.

They hadn't seen each other for a long time, so shouldn't they be happy? He rubbed his forehead and sat up from the sofa.

"Sed, you're awake," Nalilian said, throwing back the quilt and getting out of bed.

Kerston also stood up, looked at him and nodded.

"Are you feeling better?" Cedric asked Nalilian worriedly.

She drank the stimulant yesterday and still didn't feel well at night.

"I'm totally fine," Nalilian replied, putting on her shoes. "I have something I need to get back. Wait for me."

She wanted to wear the bracelet to let Kersten know that she would do everything and not let him worry.

Cedric watched her trot out with her shoes on, and looked back to see Kersten also looking in the direction Nallylian had left.

He couldn't help but ask, "Kerston?"

Kersten looked away and looked at him.

"What just happened?" Cedric asked.

In fact, Nalilian looked fine just now, but Kersten seemed a little out of control.

"Talked about her cold," Kersten said.

Compared to before when they just obeyed him obediently, now they make their own promises.

Cedric was speechless to comfort Nalilian because he was also worried this time.

Sometimes it made sense for Kerston to protect Lillian like that, at least to keep her from getting hurt.

"It's my fault, actually," Kersten said.

Cedric was startled, "Kerston?"

Why did he say that?

Kerston just looked at his sleeve. After he stood up, the wrinkle that was grabbed by Nalilian had completely disappeared.

He closed his eyes.

He was unwilling to accept it.

I'm unwilling to just fade out of her life.

He also tried to get back into her sight by disciplining her.

“I won’t make that mistake again,” he simply said.
