Harry Potter: Impossibly Cute
Chapter 165: Confrontation with Voldemort
"Just tell me what you mean by that."
Snape glanced at Dumbledore, who spread his hands.
"I remember Minerva seemed to want to discuss something with me. You guys chat, I'm leaving first."
Dumbledore quickly left this dangerous place.
"There was sometimes a hint of guilt in his eyes when he looked at me. I don't know what he felt guilty about."
Snape began to recall and express the doubts that had been hidden deep in his heart.
"Guilt? Did he do something to offend us?"
Tom couldn't figure it out.
Gellert bowed his head in thought.
"Do you think there is a possibility that he contacted us, contacted so many of us, in order to achieve a certain purpose, or complete a certain task.
It’s like accumulation. When a certain amount is accumulated, he has completed the task and can leave.”
Gellert's words seemed to stir up a thousand waves.
"You mean he approached us with a purpose from the beginning, not from the heart?"
Tom's face was gloomy, and the pupils of his eyes were flashing red.
His hands clenched unconsciously, and the veins on his arms bulged, revealing the sadness and anger he felt at the moment.
"I'm just guessing, I can't be sure"
"I don't think so. If he contacted us for a certain purpose, his eyes won't lie. He can't be completely indifferent to us."
Snape didn't believe it, or perhaps he was unwilling to admit what Gellert said.
Gellert did not say anything else, and it was obvious that he did not want to admit his guess.
Things fell into an eerie silence.
"Forget it. There's no point in saying this now. We can't stop him. There's no way to stop him from the beginning to the end."
Tom turned and left, not wanting to stay here any longer.
Tom left and Gellert glanced at Snape.
"Did that guy say anything to you?"
Snape was stunned for a moment, but as smart as he was, he immediately guessed that Tom and Gellert were probably in the same boat.
"From your expression, it's obvious that you know, but you don't react at all. How come you can't bear to let him go?"
"I'm reluctant, but that's not a reason or excuse for me to stop him from leaving."
Gellert chuckled.
"If you've waited nearly 100 years like I did, you'll understand why I did what I did."
Gellert said and turned to leave.
Snape stood there in a daze for a long time.
Did he really do something wrong?
Ask yourself, if it were him, would he be able to endure a hundred years of loneliness, or even longer?
But as soon as this thought came out, Snape suppressed it.
His life had already been a mess. If he hadn't met Ling Bai, his life wouldn't have been so exciting.
His appearance brought him a brief moment of happiness, but even if it was only short-lived, it was enough for him to spend the rest of his time relying on this memory.
After all, waiting is what he does best, isn't it?
When Ling Bai returned to the dormitory, Bryce was making black tea.
Theodore and Draco were both sitting on the sofa nearby, seemingly waiting for him as well.
"Finally you're back. We've all heard what happened just now from Zabini. I think the punishment you gave is too light."
Ling Bai smiled helplessly.
"Draco, that girl's target was not me, and she knows she was wrong. You should give her a chance to reform."
Draco snorted.
"This girl has really bad taste. She actually likes someone like Weasley."
Ling Bai didn't answer this question anymore and found a seat to sit down.
Bryce handed over the brewed tea.
"Thank you for your hard work, Blaise."
"Ling Bai, I found something wrong these two days."
Theodore closed the book in his hand with a serious expression.
"What's wrong"
“A few days ago, I discovered a student in the academy. He didn’t look familiar, and he shouldn’t be in our grade. He has been acting sneaky these past few days.
Many of us are asking what the shield is like and whether there is a way to open it. I think this is a critical moment, and maybe something is wrong."
Ling Bai pondered for a moment.
He really didn't pay much attention.
I have been busy with the fire in the backyard these two days. It is true that beauty can lead to failure.
"This matter is quite serious. I will go find Professor Snape and ask him to pass this matter to the headmaster. Please help me keep an eye on that person."
Theodore nodded.
"If you ask me, who cares about Voldemort? If he dares to come to school, we will go to war with him directly."
Draco is not afraid at all now, because their college now has the greatest wizard, Dumbledore.
There is also Gellert Grindelwald, who is as prestigious as him, and another Dark Lord, Tom Riddle.
With such a lineup, what are they afraid of?
Moreover, even though Draco didn't know much, he was clear that the Death Eaters who seemed to be so aggressive were actually a group of scattered sand.
"Draco, you don't look like a Slytherin, you look more like a Gryffindor."
"Don't say anything that makes me upset. Who wants to be like Gryffindor? I'm just being realistic."
"You're right. No matter how many tricks you have, they can't beat the suppression of force."
Ling Bai took a sip of the black tea in his hand with a happy mood.
"If a war really breaks out, maybe we can go down in history as famous people."
Theodore smiled.
Everyone lived a relatively peaceful life for the next period of time.
Ling Bai naturally also noticed the abnormal student.
The student didn't look very old, probably a sophomore at most.
Ling Bai thought he was weird, as the kid was usually unremarkable in their grade.
Everyone says that he is a quiet person with a low sense of presence.
Every time Ling Bai met him, the child would just run forward with his head down, holding his book.
Ling Bai felt that the person might not be the original one.
As the end of the semester was approaching, Voldemort finally couldn't hold back any longer.
One afternoon evening, the sun had just set and the moon had not yet risen completely.
A group of dark shadows entered Hogwarts through a wardrobe and broke the protective shield.
The school immediately went on alert and all the teachers walked out of the gate.
Behind them followed groups of students who volunteered to fight Voldemort.
Each of them had a resolute, death-ready expression on their faces.
Tom and Gellert were among them, but compared to the nervousness of the others, they seemed very relaxed.
The Death Eaters opposite took off their hoods one by one, revealing ferocious faces.
Voldemort, who was standing in front, laughed loudly.
"Long time no see, my teacher"
