Dissolving wood ash in water and then spraying it on vegetable leaves can prevent insects and diseases. In addition, using wood ash in vegetable fields can improve soil fertility, promote plant growth, and also prevent insects and diseases. It is a very effective soil conditioner.

Potatoes are very susceptible to disease, so they should be disinfected before planting to reduce the chance of disease. Soak them in warm water and add wood ash to disinfect the seeds before sowing.

When planting, the soil depth should not be too deep or too shallow. Dig a trench about 20 centimeters and cover it with 8 centimeters of soil. Topdressing potatoes and sweet potatoes requires different methods. It's best to add potash fertilizer as a base fertilizer before planting to replenish nutrients. Fermented animal manure can also be used as a substitute.
