Time flies. As planned, we're ready to trade. Some orcs carefully wrap pottery in rice and hay, tie them tightly, and arrange them layer by layer in knotty bamboo baskets. Others load baskets of charcoal onto carts, filling up thirty carts in total. Wow! Even in this world of beasts, we've seen the ancient equivalent of escort teams!

The two priests were divination-ing whether the trip would be smooth sailing, while the elders of the three tribes were chattering about safety issues. Mona looked at the two priests. The priests nodded and shouted, "Let's go!"

Suddenly, the scene was incredibly spectacular. The orcs of the Teng Snake Tribe transformed into beast forms, wrapped their tails around the cart handles, and began to crawl forward. The Silver Wolf Tribe transformed into wolf forms, stretched their heads, and wrapped the animal tendons around their necks, following closely behind.

It wasn't very cold at the beginning of the winter season, and the sun shone brightly in the sky, but it wasn't scorching. The journey wasn't too arduous for the travelers. Passing by the old tribes of Teng Snake and Silver Wolf, Bixi and Qingli went in to investigate. Teng Snake had no trace of orcs, while the Silver Wolf had been ravaged by former wolf spies. The Silver Wolf orcs felt dejected but helpless. Fortunately, they had moved early; otherwise, their lives would have been in jeopardy.

"Brother Ying, we have so many supplies, let's go directly to the main city!" Mona asked, lifting the bird feather curtain and looking out.

"Okay, let's speed up the trip and get back to the tribe sooner. I'm always worried about something going wrong in the tribe."

"Bixi, Qingli, tell everyone to hurry up and go directly to the main city to trade."

After some instructions and arrangements, the orcs unleashed their full firepower, comparable to a modern high-speed train. The trees on either side whizzed back, and the wheels danced with sparks. After three days of sleeping in the open and eating their fill, they finally reached the main city.

At the city gates, tribesmen arrived to trade, carrying their orcs and belongings wrapped in animal skins, awaiting inspection before entering. Suddenly, upon seeing this beast-like convoy, they stopped and separated to allow Mona and her group to pass. Standing at the gates, the city lord, Hu Yao, had a golden glow in his eyes and swallowed greedily.

"Jin Jue, go ask them which tribe they are from, what they are here to trade, and what they are dragging along! Will they also be trading? First, place them in the outer exchange office and send two teams to guard it to prevent other tribes from approaching."

"Okay, City Lord." Jin Jue jumped down from the city wall and stopped Long Ying. He clenched his fist and put it on his chest to salute, asking

"May I ask what tribe you are from? What are you trading in the main city for? And how long do you plan to stay here?"

"The Ten Thousand Beasts Tribe is here to trade homemade pottery, charcoal, and knotty bamboo products. We haven't decided how long we'll be staying here!" Long Ying clenched his fist in return.

"Okay, please follow me and register here. Each of you will receive a wooden sign, which you will use to enter and exit the city gates. You are few in number, but you have a lot of supplies. There is no place to store them in the inner city, so you can stay next to the exchange office in the outer city. The exchange office will store your supplies for you at one green crystal per day. It is a bit expensive, but we have two teams of strong men to ensure the safety of your goods."

"Okay, I got it!" Long Ying said indifferently.

"Brother Ying, are you ready? The cubs and I are hungry!" The voice was crisp, with a hint of dissatisfaction and coquettishness! Startled, Jin Jue quickly turned around.

A tender white hand lifted the bird-feather curtain, revealing three furry heads. Jin Jue rested on Mona's face. His heart pounded wildly, but he suppressed it, trying to prevent it from leaping out of his chest. He finally understood what love at first sight meant, what it meant to be in love forever! It was a life-threatening experience!

"Hello, little female, my name is Jin Jue, and I'm the White Tiger male from the main city!"

"Oh! Got it!" Mona glanced at him and then looked away. This made Jin Jue question his life. He was the best talent in the main city, the most powerful fighter, and the most beautiful, but he was despised! Not giving up, he asked again, "Little female, what's your name?"

"Why are you so long-winded! Once the formalities are completed, lead the way. My two cubs are hungry!"

"Baby... have you found a partner?" Jin Jue muttered to himself! He was extremely disappointed. He was so outstanding, he was definitely the best husband, but facing this female... it was all fate's trick. They met too late. It didn't matter. He would kill her bestial husband and take the position himself.

Jin Jue was still lost in thought as the convoys passed him, heading into the city. Soon, they reached the so-called outer city. Two guides settled Long Ying and his group in and then took them to the nearby exchange office. Over thirty carts of supplies were neatly arranged inside. Jia and Lun counted the items to be exchanged.

Mona and the children rested in the room, while Long Ying went to the inner city with other tribesmen to buy food and daily necessities, and to check the value of the items being traded.

At the market, Long Ying discovered a new fruit that was brightly colored and sweet. Thinking Mona and the children would like it, he bought some.

When Long Ying returned to his residence, Mona was teaching the children to read. He handed the fruit to Mona, who took it with surprise. After taking a bite, she couldn't help but exclaim, "It's delicious! What kind of fruit is this?"

Long Ying told her that this was a new variety found at the market. Mona said happily, "Next time we can also grow some of this fruit."

Everyone ate fruit and looked forward to their future life. Although they were in an unfamiliar environment, being together as a family was better than anything else.

"Little female, can I come in?" Jin Jue shouted loudly outside the door.

Long Ying came out and saw Jin Jue, his brows furrowed so much that they could kill a fly. He hadn't forgotten the tiger's distraught look when he saw Mona, and asked angrily, "What are you doing here?"

"The City Lord wants to trade with you and asks you to take the items to the City Lord's Mansion." Jin Jue raised his chin proudly, his sense of superiority from being in the main city clearly evident.

"No, we just went to the inner city trading office and took a look. We traded with the tribes there." Long Ying didn't tolerate Jin Jue either.

Jin Jue narrowed his eyes dangerously, his murderous intent evident! Unleashing the might of his seventh-level beast pattern, Long Ying remained calm and composed. "Hmph, if you don't accept my toast, you'll have to pay me back!" Jin Jue snorted coldly and turned away.

Long Ying looked at his back with cold eyes, secretly alert in his heart.

In the City Lord's Mansion, Hu Yao's face darkened after listening to Jin Jue's report.

"What a bunch of ungrateful fellows!" Hu Yao gritted his teeth and said, "Since they don't want to come, don't blame me for being rude!"

"City Lord, don't be impulsive. The leader is called Longying, and he's not to be trifled with. I released Level 7 Pressure, but it had no effect on him! And those snake beastmen don't even need to hibernate even with the onset of winter. They shouldn't be underestimated. I heard they're from the Ten Thousand Beasts Tribe, but I've never heard of that name before. It's not too late to find out more before making a decision."

"That's right. Knowing both yourself and your enemy will ensure victory in every battle. Let them go to the inner city to trade, and send people to keep an eye on their goods. Find out what they are trading and what they need! How can a small tribe have the confidence to not pay tribute to the main city? Send people to deliver some food and try to win them over." A hint of cunning flashed in Hu Yao's eyes.

Elsewhere, Mona and the children were playing games when there was a knock on the door. They opened it, revealing several orcs from the main city, carrying some food and fruit. "This is a gift from the city lord," one of them said.

Mona was a little confused, but she accepted it anyway. After Long Ying came back and learned about this, he became even more vigilant.

"Little one, this city lord is not a good person. He's been watching us at the city gate. I'm afraid he wants to take our material possessions. You need someone to accompany you when you go out with your child. There are too many people here and we don't have enough manpower. We must not make enemies. Complete the transaction quickly, exchange for salt and return to the tribe immediately."

"I know, don't worry, Brother Ying. I won't take any risks for the sake of the two cubs!"

The next day, Long Ying led his tribe to the exchange. Mona, accompanied by Bixi and Qingli, took the children to the exchange. They met Jin Jue, who warmly invited them to visit the City Lord's Mansion. Mona refused, but Jin Jue persisted and insisted on following them.
