The Path to Sainthood from Fairy Tail

Chapter 543 The Encounter of the Two

As Thor and Nord arrived at the entrance of the town, they saw two people wearing hooded hats and dressed in understated yet sophisticated clothes.

Generally speaking, ordinary people would not attract the attention of these two people.

Even due to the rapid advance of the allied forces, many people in the inner regions of the Golden Rooster Kingdom fled outwards.

Some people happened to arrive in the town and, noticing that there was no disaster and they could eat their fill, decided to stay.

Thor and Nord spent most of their time in the village studying the knowledge left behind by Li Xuan, so many people in the town were unfamiliar faces to them.

But this time, the two people they saw were clearly extraordinary; they had only ever seen that special aura emanating from powerful individuals.

Nord warned, "Brother, there's something wrong with those two. They're not ordinary people!"

Thor remained as composed as ever. He said in a low voice, "Indeed, they are both too young, and they exude the air of nouveau riche. They are probably people who have benefited from the war. As long as they don't cause trouble, we don't need to bother with them."

In Thor's view, although they had some ability, it was not high enough, and their responsibilities did not extend to managing outsiders.

As long as the outsiders don't cause trouble, they don't need to worry too much.

Just as Thor and Nord were about to enter the town to find their long-awaited teacher, the two strangers walked straight toward them.

One of the men, who looked rather simple and honest, stepped forward and asked, "Please wait a moment. We have come here because we have long admired the Holy Church and wish to join and become a member."

Thor asked, "If you want to join, then go ahead and do it. Why are you asking us?"

The man coughed lightly. "Let me introduce myself first. My name is Pusi, and I come from West Delhi. Although we also want to go directly to find the Holy Church, we have asked along the way, but no one knows the location of Hundred Flowers Village, which is the Holy Church."

Nord thought that although the Holy Church was good, it shouldn't be that well-known, so he asked, "Are you from the Duke of Paler's territory?"

Pusi was taken aback at first, then shook his head in denial: "No, Sidler is not within Duke Paler's territory. Our lord... well, our side is closer to the capital."

Nord stroked his chin thoughtfully. He only knew that his teacher had once worked with Duke Paler, which was why he guessed which side the two people in front of him came from, but the answer he got did not meet his expectations.

This makes the identities of the two people in front of us worth considering.

Nord scrutinized the two people in front of him, trying to find some clues, but there was nothing wrong with either Pusi or Dinan.

If I had to say something, it would be that their clothes were too new and too expensive, unlike what ordinary people could afford; they looked more like the attire of nobles.

Nord casually asked, "Where did you hear about the Holy Church? As far as I know, we don't seem to have any plans to recruit students from outside."

Dinan asked doubtfully, "But we've heard discussions about the Holy Church in many places along the way. If it weren't for the news we've received, we might not have been able to get here so quickly."

Nord said in surprise, "Really? Maybe we've been staying home lately, so we're not aware of the recent situation."

Thor asked curiously, "Is our Hundred Flowers Village really that low-key? Why is it that the Holy Church's existence is publicized, but our village is still unknown?"

Dinan comforted them, "Perhaps the Holy Church's reputation overshadows the village, which is why they didn't find out. Or perhaps the village has only existed for a short time, and the connection between the two isn't deep, so it's not well-known."

Thor shook his head. In his view, the village and the church were inextricably linked, and the village even existed earlier than the church, so such a huge gap was impossible.

“You don’t understand. The church is right here in the village. If their information had really spread, the current situation wouldn’t have happened unless someone did it on purpose.”

Nord didn't care at all whether the village was famous or not. Compared to such trivial matters, he was more interested in finding his teacher and sharing what he had learned during this time.

I also asked them some questions they encountered during their research.

"Alright, brother. I think they're genuinely here to study, and with the village chief in charge, they won't cause any major trouble. In my opinion, just give them direction for their village."

Thor nodded; he thought so too.

Then, Thor pointed in the direction of Hundred Flowers Village and said to the two of them, "Just keep walking along this road. When you see the houses, that's Hundred Flowers Village. Actually, if you ask around in town, you'll probably be able to find out."

Dinan immediately replied happily, "Thank you. I will definitely treat you both to a meal when I have the chance."

After bidding farewell to Thor and the Nord brothers, Dinan said to Pusi, "Let's hurry up and go. Thank you for escorting us all this way."

Pusi smiled wryly and said, "What are you saying? We didn't encounter any danger along the way, and with the Lord's generous sponsorship of the travel expenses, we didn't even suffer much hardship along the way."

"Moreover, we've been searching for Lil and the others all along the way. Generally, if they were to leave, they would definitely move in the opposite direction of the Allied Forces. It's just a pity that we haven't encountered them along the way."

Originally, Dinan said he wanted to go alone to find Hundred Flowers Village to study, but Pusi, who was in the honeymoon period with Lord Sidler, firmly disagreed.

After all, Lil and the others have already disappeared. If even Dinan leaves him, Pusi will truly be all alone.

However, an event soon occurred that made Pusi change his mind.

The honeymoon period between the lord and Pusi did not last long. Soon Pusi discovered that the notices in Sidler City and the search for Lil and others had been canceled, and then Dinan encountered a major danger.

If it weren't for the timely reminder from the spirit that Pusi carried, Dinan would have truly perished.

After a series of events, Pusi finally realized his mistake and made the decision to set off with Dinan.

Upon hearing this, the lord wished he could send Pusi away immediately.

He originally wanted to raise an obedient and capable dog, but after spending some time with it, he realized that he was raising a tiger that would cause him harm. After that, he kept looking for an opportunity to drive Pusi out of Sidler and out of his territory.

Upon hearing that Pusi wanted to escort his friend, the lord immediately sent his secretary with a map and travel expenses, subtly reminding them that they should set off immediately.

This suited Pusi's mind well; free money is free money, so why not take it?

He then went to Baihua Village with Dinan.

Unfortunately, all they did along the way were ask for directions and information about Lil and the others. They could find directions, but they couldn't find any trace of them.

Dinan was touched and said, "Since we're already here, why don't you come in with me? It might be good for you."

"Me? I guess..."

Pusi was about to refuse, but the words of refusal were on the tip of his tongue when he froze, and then a look of incomprehension appeared on his face.

Finally, Pusi spoke up: "Then count me in. Let's see if this Holy Church is really as powerful as the rumors say!"
