It took Jia Qingwu a while to come back to her senses. Xia Chu and Aunt Xu helped her to the bed, and Xia Chu lay down, humming a goodnight song.

Seeing Jia Qingwu fall asleep, Xia Chu breathed a sigh of relief. Aunt Xu was still waiting outside. Seeing that there was no movement, she came over to take a look. Finding that Xia Chu was still awake, she whispered, "Miss Xia, you have worked hard."

"It's okay, Ma'am, go and have a rest." Xia Chu waved her hand.

The morning light squeezed in through the cracks in the curtains, and Xia Chu slowly opened her eyes. Jia Qingwu, who was still asleep, remained still, so she didn't move. She was pondering what to do today, and she didn't really feel like going to class. She thought it would be best to take Jia Qingwu out for a walk; staying cooped up at home all the time wouldn't make her feel relaxed. She actually felt that people with this kind of mental illness should get out and about.

Go get in touch with nature, see the beautiful mountains and rivers, smell the fragrance of flowers, listen to the gurgling stream, and perhaps your mood will change differently.

Nothing matters more than life and death. If you can look at things in a positive way, you will find that all other hardships in life will eventually pass.

It's better to do it than to think about it. Why not go out and have some fun today? Bring some wine, find a boat, and go for a float on the lake.

As soon as Jia Qingwu woke up, she saw Xia Chu frowning and pursing her lips. She looked like she was thinking about something very important, with a serious expression, yet very cute. How did her Xia Xia grow up to be so big? When she was a child, her whole body was soft, even her voice was soft. Now she is an adult and can take care of herself. A soft emotion rose in her heart, "Xia Xia."

Feeling the gaze from the side, Xia Chu turned around, "Mom? Are you awake?"

"Yeah." Jia Qingwu responded with a smile and couldn't help but touch Xia Chu's face. The feeling was still the same as when she was a child, but she had grown so much.

"Then let's get up? How about going out and playing today?" Xia Chu asked.

"Okay." Jia Qingwu naturally agreed. "Where do you want to go? I'll have someone prepare the car."

"Let's go boating on the lake. We can bring some wine and enjoy the scenery of late autumn." Xia Chu said as he sat up. "And the pipa!"

"Okay, whatever you say." Jia Qingwu sat up and said, "I'll ask Madam Xu to make the arrangements."

When Old Lady Jia came over to practice the Five Animal Exercises together, Jia Qingwu mentioned going out. However, Old Lady Jia seemed uneasy and looked hesitant.

"Grandma, let's go together. The three of us, grandparents and grandchildren, can enjoy the autumn scenery on the lake. How about that?" Xia Chu suggested.

"Me?" Madam Jia hesitated even more. "I'm already quite old. Forget it. You guys go and have fun. I won't go."

She was considered old, but people in those days married early and had children early. Even though Jia Sansi's children were already in their teens, Mrs. Jia was only in her early fifties. She rarely went out to bask in the sun, ate fine food, and had people to wait on her, so she didn't have to work. She didn't look fifty years old.

Xia Chu winked at Jia Qingwu, who chuckled softly and pulled her mother's arm, "Mom, come with me. It's been a while since I've played with you."

That was indeed a long time ago. Jia Qingwu had just gotten married, and the two of them would often make appointments to go to the temple together to burn incense. Ever since she gave birth, she had become very busy. After the child had finally grown up and stabilized, she could often take him out to play, but he was lost again. Thinking of this, Mrs. Jia sighed. Fortunately, he was found. She looked at her daughter and granddaughter's expectant eyes and said helplessly, "Go, let's go together."

"Great!" Xia Chu cheered. She didn't have to prepare anything. She just had to tell them what she was going to do, and they would take everything she needed. No wonder wealthy families had so many servants at home and even ordered around servants when they went out. It was so comfortable.

Since it was agreed, Madam Jia made some preparations and set off. The carriage was ready, and the housekeeper sent a servant to go ahead and book a boat. When Xia Chu and the others arrived at the lake, the boat was already waiting.

The three of them boarded the boat and sat directly on the deck. Aunt Xu and the others set out the table with the wine, food, fruit, and snacks they had brought. Seeing the wind on the lake, they took out their cloaks.

"Warm the wine a little before drinking it?" asked Madam Xu.

It was late autumn, and the weather was cool. A warm drink would be nice, Xiachu said, looking at Old Lady Jia. She nodded, and Cuihua brought out a small charcoal stove.

The cool breeze with moisture blew on his face. Xia Chu couldn't help but sigh and said with a smile: "It's so comfortable."

"Are you satisfied with this?" Mrs. Jia smiled at him and glanced at her daughter. Seeing her brows relaxed and a faint smile on her face, she seemed to enjoy it. She felt that today's trip was a good one. "This wind is so comfortable."

The surroundings were wide open, and everywhere she looked was the deep blue water of the lake. Jia Qingwu took a deep breath and gently exhaled, as if to expel the stagnant air in her chest. The breeze was refreshing, and the aroma of warm wine wafted out. Facing her was her mother's gentle gaze, and beside her was her daughter looking at her with a smile. It seemed that there was no greater happiness in the world.

It was also the most relaxing moment for her in the past few years.

"Come, I'll pour a glass of wine for grandma. Have some too, mom, to relax." Xia Chu poured wine for the three of them. It didn't take long to heat it up, and the temperature was just right for drinking.

Cuihua wanted to go up and take the wine jug, but was pulled back by Aunt Xu, who gestured for everyone to step back and let the masters do it themselves.

As the warm wine went down my throat, a wave of heat rose through my stomach, and my cheeks, chilled by the lake breeze, began to warm.

Xia Chu tossed a few fried peanuts into her mouth, feeling comfortable and at ease. If only she had a reclining chair, where she could cross her legs and enjoy a glass of wine and some meat, preferably barbecue. Unfortunately, the only beef she had now was braised beef, and it wasn't as good as Dong Xiaohuan's. She clutched her wine glass and chanted, "When life is good, enjoy it to the fullest; don't let the golden cup face the moon empty."

Jia Qingwu recited it softly, "What a good poem! I'm not as broad-minded as my daughter."

"Xia Xia actually has such literary talent?" Old Lady Jia was surprised. However, her family background was not prominent, and she had only read a few books when she was young. She could only understand the literal meaning, but she also thought the poem was good.

Xia Chu smiled and explained that it was not written by him, but was the work of a great poet from the previous dynasty.

"Xia Xia also likes Li Bai?" Jia Qingwu asked.

"Yeah, I like his poems." There are just too many. I memorized so many when I was little. I hate Li Bai. I thought he was so annoying. He must have been writing poems every day and then having them memorize them. It was so annoying. Now that I think about it, I didn't understand the meaning of the poems back then. Only as I grew older and gained more experience did I appreciate the artistic conception and the spirit that Li Bai's poems sought to convey. Now I understand why so many of his poems were chosen for teaching materials.
