Chapter 92 Morning Run

Chapter 92 Morning Run

The next morning, Tang Xin was awakened by a deep male voice while she was still drowsy.

She barely opened her eyes and saw a dark figure standing by the window, startling her awake instantly. As her consciousness returned, Jin Taize, dressed in sportswear, burst into her sight.

"It's noon," Jin Taize looked at her with a disapproving look, "Change your clothes and go for a morning run." As he said that, he put the clothes that had been washed and dried yesterday on the head of Tang Xin's bed and turned to leave.

Morning jog? She hadn't heard it right. Ever since she failed to clock in for a three-kilometer daily jog, she had considered herself unfit for exercise and had basically stopped exercising.

I glanced at my phone dejectedly. It was half past five! Which time zone would that be when the sun would be at its highest point in the sky?

After changing clothes and washing up, he came out of the bathroom. Sitting on the sofa, Jin Taize raised his eyelids and asked, "Are you done?"

Tang Xin nodded listlessly.

Jin Taize stood up and walked towards the door.

Jin Taize was tall and had long legs, so he walked fast. Tang Xin quickly followed him, reluctantly asking, "Can we not go?"

Jin Taize turned around and glanced at Tang Xin with the corner of his eye, then turned his head away coldly, as if he didn't want to answer at all.

Tang Xin looked at the lonely figure from behind, frowned, clenched her fists, and gestured at him fiercely, looking like a vicious little wolf.

The man stood at the elevator entrance, pressed the elevator door and turned back, "Hurry up."

"Oh." The girl instantly put away all her sharpness, and trotted into the elevator as obediently as a kitten. There was no other way. She couldn't just be Jin Taize's little follower in Jin Taize's house by herself.

There is a park near Jin Tae-ze's home. It is not only large in area, but also has a running track built around it.

Maybe it was because it rained last night and because they came out early, there were not many people doing morning exercises.

Perhaps the whole city has been washed by the rain, and the air seems to be filtered, making the slightly cool morning even more refreshing for the body and mind.

After running half a lap, Tang Xin couldn't hold on any longer. She dragged her feet, clutched her chest, and gasped for breath, saying, "I can't do it anymore. You run first. I'll rest for a while."

Having not exercised for a long time, Tang Xin's muscles and bones were stiff and he was exhausted. He pointed to the seats by the artificial lake and walked over.

Jin Taize turned back from the front and sat down next to Tang Xin.

Tang Xin frowned and waved her hand, "Go ahead, don't worry about me."

Jin Taize leaned back with his hands on the bench, looking up at the warm hue that appeared on the light blue sky. His voice was calm and relaxed, "I'll take a break too."

Tang Xin followed his gaze and saw the golden halo of the sun, like an ink painting, smudged golden edges on the huge rice paper of the sky. Her rapid heartbeat gradually became regular and peaceful as everything became quiet.

Suddenly I felt that sitting like this with Jin Taize without saying a word didn’t feel awkward.

A grandfather, about seventy years old, walked past, reciting difficult-to-understand Beijing opera accents and kicking his legs.

Although Tang Xin couldn't understand every word the old man said, she could sense his articulation and confidence. The leg he lifted high could actually kick as high as his head, the movement rising and falling instantly and crisply, without a trace of drag.

Tang Xin couldn't help but exclaim in amazement, "Wow——"

"I could kick that high when I was a kid," Tang Xin pouted, immersed in memories.

Jin Taize turned his head, raised his eyes and glanced up and down at Tang Xin, with obvious suspicion written on his face.

"Really?" Tang Xin raised her chin and looked at him unconvincedly. "I practiced dancing when I was a kid. If you don't believe me, I'll show you how to dance now."

As she spoke, she stood up suddenly as if on fire and walked forward. Jin Taize also stood up and stood beside her.

Tang Xin took a deep breath, replaying the scene of her practicing martial arts as a child in her mind.

In fact, she hadn't practiced for a long time, and she really didn't know if she could still do it. But she was provoked by Jin Taize's contemptuous look. She didn't want to lose in front of him and didn't want to be looked down upon by him.

All her strength and memory were concentrated in her right leg. Tang Xin glanced at Jin Taize. He crossed his arms in front of his chest and looked at her indifferently.

Tang Xin turned her head away in anger, stretched out her arms, exerted force under her legs, and lifted them up suddenly, but her toes were weak and could only kick up to her chest.

A chuckle escaped from the corner of Jin Taize's thin lips. Tang Xin turned her head and saw him hunching over and laughing. The ruthless sneer made her feel particularly embarrassed.

She looked away from Jin Taize to hide her embarrassment, and said with a forced expression, "I was just warming up."

Jin Taize tilted his head and shrugged, looking like he would do whatever the emperor wants.

Tang Xin stared ahead resolutely, then gathered herself. She closed her eyes and tried to recall the past. The moment she opened them, she was filled with an unstoppable determination.

All the energy in her body was concentrated on her legs. As she moved, a clear airflow was set off under her feet. Jin Taize's gaze was drawn from her legs to something in a parabola.
