Chapter 87 Do you want to verify scientists’ theories?

"Actually, there's no need to unpack the new ones. Any pair of shoes will do." Tang Xin said embarrassedly, but it was quite a coincidence that the shoes fit her feet.

Jin Taize stood up and looked at her. "No woman comes here, any pair of shoes are mine."

Tang Xin was stunned. There weren't any women's shoes? So who was this pair for? Had she offended its true owner?

Tang Xin was about to say something when Jin Taize seemed to know what she was thinking and patiently explained to her, "This is prepared for the future hostess. It's a coincidence that I'm giving it to you first."

After putting these shoes on, there was an indescribable ambiguity. Tang Xin's face suddenly became hot, and she felt that wearing these shoes was really out of place, a bit like a cuckoo taking over the magpie's nest.

Jin Taize just turned around and walked inside. A voice sounded behind him, "First come, first served. This size is really a bit small. Most people probably can't wear it." He didn't take her apology seriously at all.

Tang Xin followed him into the living room while surveying the surroundings and furnishings. Jin Taize walked inside, opened a door, and quickly emerged with a dry towel.

Tang Xin couldn't just sit there, so she could only stand there with her hands behind her back, watching him come in and out, until he walked straight up to her.

He raised his hand, and Tang Xin unconsciously followed his movement and looked up. The pure white towel drew a graceful arc in front of her eyes, and her wet head was covered with a soft and warm feeling.

The towel was a bit long, hanging down smoothly on either side of Tang Xin's ears, and her entire face suddenly felt warmer. Tang Xin was a little dazed by his sudden movement. She turned her head slightly left and right and looked down at the towel dangling on both sides of her cheeks.

Just as she shook the towel and lifted the corner, her head was fixed by the man's big hand. The man's voice sounded coldly above her head, "Don't move."

As he spoke, he rubbed his palms gently on the towel, rubbing the excess rain water on his hair into the dry towel bit by bit. Tang Xin's head trembled slightly with the man's gentle and rhythmic movements.

The man hadn't taken off his wet shirt yet, and because of the movement of his arms, his chest muscles were even more obvious, exposed in front of him at a close distance. The top two buttons of his shirt were undone, and his Adam's apple was exposed from the gap in his collar as he moved. Tang Xin felt that her face under the towel was so hot that it was about to explode.

Tang Xin bit her lower lip, lowered her head, and didn't dare to look at Jin Taize anymore. She reached up and said, "I'll do it myself." She subconsciously reached up and touched Jin Taize's hand.

Luckily, Jin Taize stopped what he was doing. Tang Xin lowered her head, absentmindedly wiping her hair as the scene from before flashed back to her.

The pretty face was hidden a little by the wide towel, making it look even smaller and more delicate, and the rosy skin looked even more vivid against the pure white color.

Jin Taize never looked away, his hands casually shoved into his trouser pockets. After a moment, a frivolous look flashed across his eyes, and he softly called out, "Tang Xin."

"Ok?"

Tang Xin subconsciously looked up at him. Jin Taize leaned over and approached, his dark eyes capturing hers. His dark pupils were like a vast sky, with only a single star shining brightly within. His pleasant voice drifted past her ears, "Why are you blushing?"

Fire was spewing from all seven orifices.

Tang Xin's entire body froze, her movements ceasing. His ability to bring up irrelevant issues was truly becoming increasingly adept. It would have been fine if he hadn't said it, but once he did, she felt completely mortified. She forcefully tried to recover, "Who's blushing? I'm just generating heat from friction." When it came to talking nonsense, Teacher Tang was second best; no one dared to take first place.

Jin Taize was amused by this rather pertinent reason and laughed ramblingly. "If Rumford knew this theory had been so badly tarnished by later generations, I wonder if he would be happy or heartbroken?"

For Tang Xin, who preferred the humanities, physics was essentially the only thing she had left from her junior high school years. So, if she hadn't heard what Jin Taize said, she wouldn't have known who Lunford was. Was Jin Taize telling the truth? He actually knew so much.

"Since Teacher Tang is so interested in physics, would you like to verify another scientist's theory?" Jin Taize asked seriously, with the attitude of a science popularizer who was earnestly imparting knowledge, leaving no doubt about his intentions.

Tang Xin looked up at him, eager to learn, and asked humbly, "What theory?"
