Gold Medal Sweetheart

Chapter 42 Beauty Scheming

Jin Taize glanced at Jiaojiao without saying anything else. Jiaojiao looked across at Jin Taize, who looked unapproachable even from a distance, with some surprise. He was so imposing and commanding, yet so distant and distant. Yes, for many, the more beautiful something is, the more inaccessible it is. At this thought, the faint smile that had just subsided returned to her face, like a flamingo soaring against the wind, proudly spreading its beautiful wings, leaving a haunting crimson arc across the sky.

"If you need to know something about the school, you can ask Teacher Du." Principal Wang looked at Jiaojiao who was sitting next to him with admiration.

After hearing Principal Wang's words, Jin Taize's eyelids drooped slightly, his long, dense lashes covering his deep pupils. A barely perceptible, cold smile crept across his flawless face, fleeting enough for no one to interpret its meaning. He immediately raised his head, still maintaining his calm demeanor. "Principal Wang, this is truly thoughtful," he thanked him for his arrangements in a diplomatic manner, but his eyes pointed meaningfully past Jiaojiao and directly at Principal Wang.

Wang Xiao, however, felt as if he were being completely observed by an enemy lookout during a battle. It was as if all his fortifications had been penetrated, and his once secure offensive position was suddenly overturned into a defensive one. In response to Jin Taize's cryptic words, Wang Xiao could only respond, "No, no, that's what I'm supposed to do."

"But there's no rush for the assistant. I have some other things to attend to. If there's nothing else, let's leave it at that for today." Jin Taize's face now wore a rare, friendly smile. In the past three or two minutes, Jin Taize's change was like the weather in a tropical rainforest, unpredictable. Wang Xiao was worried that this guy was not an easy person to deal with.

Wang Xiao and Jiaojiao looked at each other, then replied in unison, "Then we'll go out first."

After gently closing the boss's office door, Jiaojiao and Wang Xiao quickly walked back to the principal's office on the second floor.

"This Jin Taize, although he is young, he is very shrewd!" Wang Xiao sat on her swivel chair, put his hands on the two chair handles as if relieved of a burden, and leaned his back heavily on the chair back, so that the chair couldn't help but shake slightly.

Jiaojiao, however, changed from her sweet and generous self to a completely different one. She crossed her arms in front of her chest, her legs folded, and acted like a queen. "Second Aunt, why haven't I heard you mention this before?"

"I just heard about it from President Zhang the day before yesterday, so I notified the students yesterday that they would have a day off today." Principal Wang sat forward, holding his forehead with his right hand, thinking about what had happened in the past few days, and said in a low voice, "But President Zhang didn't mention that it was the Shi Tian Group that took over our school. This is incredible." Principal Wang fell into self-contemplation.

Jiaojiao took over the conversation, "That's not the key point. The key point is, don't you want to build a new teaching building?"

Wang Xiao looked up at the energetic Jiaojiao. "Yes," he thought for a moment and continued, "Jin Taize is rich, but it depends on whether he is willing to spend the money. Didn't you just hear it? We have to make a detailed plan again, which is really troublesome. I thought that with such a big boss coming, it would be easy to get the funds, but..."

"Aunt," Jiaojiao raised her voice, "I just wanted to say something to you. Is it necessary for you to go to so much trouble to discuss with Jin Taize how to build the house? Such a direct way of thinking is totally inconsistent with your style of using roundabout tactics." Thinking of the scene just now, Jiaojiao frowned slightly and complained to Wang Xiao.

Wang Xiao was intrigued by her, "What do you mean?"

"I said from the beginning that I wanted to go to Jin Taize with you, just to have an extra helper so that I could contribute more. But you left me there and I missed a good opportunity." Jiaojiao said, shaking her head.

"But Jin Taize is not so easy to talk to. You see, he speaks very logically and can hit the nail on the head on key issues. I guess he has very strict requirements for his work." Principal Wang sighed and didn't seem to take Jiaojiao's analysis to heart.

Jiaojiao lifted her long hair that fell on her back and twitched the corner of her mouth, "Things that are too easy to get are often worthless."

"What are you going to do?"

"As for the plan, you should work on it first. But whether or not you get the funding doesn't necessarily have much to do with this." Jiaojiao continued with a smile, "We still need to carry forward our country's fine traditions."

Wang Xiao waited patiently for Jiaojiao's next words.

"Our country has a history of marriage alliances since ancient times. Countries that were originally not very friendly can get what they want by forming friendly relations with each other." Jiaojiao looked at Wang Xiao with considerable pride, "You said that if we can make Jin Taize a family member, then such a small investment will be no problem? It won't be a problem to give you the school as a meeting gift from your nephew-in-law." Jiaojiao raised her chin slightly, with a seductive confidence rising at the corner of her mouth.

Wang Xiao's hope, extinguished by Jin Taize's coldness, was reignited by Jiaojiao. Compared to the proposed plan, she believed her niece's contribution would be more effective and yield a far higher return. While today's situation indicated a difficult path ahead, and their plan wasn't guaranteed to be fulfilled 100%, as long as they could gain more access to Jin Taize, they still had a good chance of success. Her trust in her niece wasn't blind trust, nor was it a matter of affection between family members. She absolutely had the ability.

Thinking of this, Wang Xiao also smiled with relief.

Peace returned to the office. Sunlight streamed through the window onto Jin Tae-jae's desk. He unbuttoned his shirt, removed his suit, and casually draped it over a chair. Solid-colored shirts were his favorite color, simple and pure, perfectly reflecting his approach to life. He gazed back at the quiet campus. A flock of pigeons flew past the teaching building in a disjointed formation, a peaceful sight that made one forget everything else.

Jin Taize looked at the staff composition and office phone numbers of various offices on campus, as well as the contact information of each faculty member, which were pressed under the glass of the desk. His slender fingers ran over one of the names, and the corners of his mouth showed the most charming color under the sun.

I dialed one of the numbers on the office phone and heard a beep as the call was connected.
