Although the great powers look down on them, we treasure them. The mines currently produced in our base are considered to be the most advanced on the blue planet. They are not only powerful but also come in many styles. They can make the Japanese infantry on the front line scream in terror.

Especially for the troops on the front line, when setting up defensive positions, the first thing they did was to have the engineers lay out a large minefield in front of the position, waiting for the enemy to attack and kill a group of them first.

There are only two ways to break our minefield. One is to use a large number of artillery to bomb all the front-line positions and use artillery shells to clear the way; the other is to use the lives of soldiers to step over the mines.

In short, no matter what choice the enemy makes, it is a good thing for us. After all, all we pay is some cheap mines.

And any enemy artillery shell can be exchanged for more than ten mines, so no matter how you look at it, we make a profit.

This is a battle of steel and explosives between the enemy and us. Whoever has more steel and gunpowder can inflict heavy losses on the other side.

However, the enemy's strength has been crushing our China in recent years, and our army has long been accustomed to fighting with inferior weapons and training to the enemy.

We have also long ago summed up many tactics to use light weapons with few guns and bullets to fight against the Japanese planes and artillery. Our soldiers can completely overcome them with their steel-like will, and they have never retreated even at a heavy price.

But now our army has enough ammunition, and the enemy still follows the old tactics and launches large-scale charges at every turn, and will eventually become our sitting ducks.

But the Japanese are stubborn and have been using that tactic for decades.

"Infantry charges, artillery bombs, and planes bomb."

If it doesn't work, do it again until you break through our position.

To be honest, this set of tactics was specially customized by the Japanese for the Chinese army. They bullied our army because we did not have enough ammunition, and even our rifles were very old and backward, making it impossible to effectively resist their attacks.

China's military and industrial strength is too weak, and it can't even catch up with a small European country with a population of several million. How sad it is.

But now it’s completely different. The combined industrial strength of our major bases can at least rank among the top ten on Blue Star.

The United States, Germany, Britain, France, the Soviet Union, Japan, and Italy are all current powers and the hegemons with the strongest industrial strength.

Originally, our industrial strength was estimated to be ranked outside the top 50 in the entire Blue Planet. After this year's development, it is now ranked behind Italy.

Moreover, our current navy's strength is only a few gunboats, which can only be used for playing inland rivers. We don't have any proper warships, so there is basically no need to spend precious steel resources on the navy.

However, we have secretly established five naval cadet training schools and found some former naval personnel of the Kuomintang government to serve as instructors. They have started to teach us a lot of naval knowledge from scratch.

"Ten years for the Army, fifty years for the Air Force, and a hundred years for the Navy."

China has a long coastline to defend. Even if we use the army to drive away the invaders, such a long coastline still requires a strong navy to defend, otherwise the small countries around us will jump out to bully us.

If you want to build a strong navy, you must start with basic training and invest a lot of resources. The more critical the time, the more you need to prepare in advance.

Otherwise, once you drive away the most ferocious jackals, you will have to face packs of wild dogs.

It is extremely sad to say, but in fact the national government still had many naval talents, but in order to stop the invaders' naval attack, they had no choice but to sink all the warships to the bottom of the river.

Originally, the Kuomintang’s navy was just a pile of outdated junk compared to other industrial powers, but now even that pile of junk is gone. This is a great sorrow for a big country.

Fortunately, even though the Chinese Navy did not have warships, they still took up arms and fought against the Japanese, but they were in the form of infantry guarding the trenches on the front line.

These are the elites that China has accumulated with great difficulty. Every naval officer is a treasure, especially the captains of destroyers and cruisers. They have all been well-trained and have studied in the naval school of Niu Niu Country. For China, they are the treasures among treasures.

If talents of this level were to go to the front battlefield and stay in trenches, it would be the biggest loss for China. Talents are hard to come by these days.

Therefore, the leaders also formulated a special talent rescue plan, and set aside a considerable portion of the arsenal's production capacity to recruit these valuable naval soldiers.

In fact, the plan is very simple. We just need to use a large amount of supplies to knock out the commanders of other Kuomintang troops. When it comes to poaching, we are professionals.

For example, if an ordinary sailor has one year of shipboard experience and is willing to come to our naval school, we will reward him with a 60mm mortar and 200 rounds of ammunition.

If you are working in a technical position, it will be an 82mm mortar and 200 rounds of ammunition.

As for talents at the level of mechanics, chief engineers, gunners, artillery commanders, air defense commanders, and navigators who understand maintenance, mortars are no longer suitable. They must have Type 92 infantry guns and 75mm mountain guns.

The chief engineer and the gunner were equipped with two 75mm mountain cannons and 500 rounds of ammunition, which was enough to form a mountain artillery platoon.

If it is a cruiser captain or a destroyer captain, it is a 105mm heavy howitzer and 300 rounds of ammunition.

It is said that when the Kuomintang army learned the news, everyone was overjoyed and quickly gathered all the naval officers and soldiers in their jurisdiction and sent them to our base.

In this way, we paid 520 60mm mortars, 188 82mm mortars, 42 Type 92 infantry guns, 35 75mm mountain guns and 12 105mm heavy howitzers in exchange for more than 700 naval officers and soldiers from the Kuomintang government.

Although this number of people is nothing to foreign naval powers, and a battleship easily requires more than a thousand sailors, it is already extremely valuable for our troops.

After all, we have nothing now. These experienced naval officers and soldiers are seeds. Our base is also well-stocked with supplies of all kinds. We recruited tens of thousands of new students for training at once.

Of course, we are not actually at a disadvantage in this case. The Kuomintang army has more artillery, and its combat effectiveness will be correspondingly enhanced, which will also allow it to hold back more enemies and reduce the pressure on our base.

Moreover, there are only so many artillery shells, and once they are used up, they have to come to us to buy more. If the Kuomintang government has other ideas in the future, they must carefully consider whether they can cope with the ammunition supply if we cut off their army's supply.
