One man and one dog, wandering in the world of Monster Hunter

Chapter 33: Escape from Death Blue Bear Beast

"Ah, Little Link is back."

Link walked through the mud and returned to the village, where he was stopped by Fire Sprout who happened to be coming out of the gathering place.

Seeing this, Phyllis and Milu tactfully went to the meeting place to handle the formalities first, leaving the two acquaintances to reminisce about the past.

Huoya held an oil-paper umbrella, and the raindrops hit the umbrella, making a dull sound. She walked around Link, looked him up and down, confirmed that he had no wounds on his body, and breathed a sigh of relief.

As an elder who has watched Link grow up, she was very worried during the two days when Link went out hunting large monsters. Although she had confidence in Link's strength, she still showed her due concern.

"I haven't seen you for two days. Did the hunting go well?"

Huoya took Link's hand and took him to Link's home. It was raining outside, so it was not a good place to talk.

Link followed Huoya into the cabin. The cabin was warm and quiet. Huoya leaned her oil-paper umbrella against the door.

"The master is back, meow."

The diligent housekeeper Miss Cat was making soup at home. Seeing Huoya pulling the wet Link back, she quickly got a towel and asked Link to wipe the rain off his body.

Link took the towel handed to him by Honey and took off his wet equipment, revealing his strong chest. He only left on a pair of hunter shorts, and did not avoid Huoya's sight.

Anyway, you have seen everything you should have seen when you were a child, so just cover up the key parts.

Link wiped the rain off his body with a towel. Huoya came out with a bowl of steaming soup and placed it in front of him.

"The transport team brought the Blue Bear back yesterday, but you didn't come back. I guessed that you would come back this morning. It was raining, so I asked Honey to make you a stomach-warming soup with the horns of the Elf Deer."

Link smelled the aroma of the soup and couldn't help swallowing. He took the bowl of soup and drank it while recounting his experiences of the past two days.

Huoya listened, nodded from time to time, and smiled brightly. She didn't look like an aunt in her forties or fifties at all, but a young and beautiful girl.

The two of them look so harmonious that they look like a pair of siblings.

But in reality the relationship is more like that of mother and son.

After finishing the soup, Link put down the bowl in his hand and breathed a sigh of satisfaction. Huoya sat quietly at the other end of the table, looking at him with a smile.

"Thank you, Sister Huoya, and Honey. I'm going to the meeting place to submit the task first and will be back soon."

Although he returned home, Link still needed to go to the assembly hall, where there were still some procedures to be handled.

Huoya looked at Link and nodded. Seeing him quickly change into clean clothes and rush out, she shouted hurriedly.

"Take your umbrella with you. Don't get wet again from the rain you just wiped off."

Link, who was about to rush out of the door, hurriedly braked and picked up Huoya's oil-paper umbrella from the door. This umbrella was Huoya's favorite. There were delicate little flowers painted on the umbrella, and the umbrella handle was made of fine peach wood, which was smooth and warm.

"Got it. Thank you, Sister Huoya."

Link smiled, held the umbrella tightly in his hand, and walked out the door quickly, with Matsutake following behind him, keeping up with him.

Link's house was only a few steps away from the gathering place. He opened the umbrella in his hand and closed it again before it got wet.

As I stepped into the quaint meeting hall, I saw busy figures at the front desk. Phyllis and Milu, who had not yet finished their formalities, were going through the formalities with Shuiyun at the front desk.

Fortunately, their procedures had been almost completed, and only Milu's procedures needed to be handled together with Link, so he came at the right time.

"Sister Shuiyun, I want to submit the task."

Link skillfully took out the hunter's manual and the commission form from the package on Matsutake's back and handed them to Shuiyun.

The first page of the Hunter's Manual is Link's Hunter Card, which records his village and hunter star level, as well as a hand-drawn portrait, which is like an ID card. The pages behind the card are pages recording his resume, and every stroke is a testimony to his growth.

Link's resume is extremely rich, with a large number of recorded completed missions, although the vast majority of them were commissions from wild boars.

Shui Yun also skillfully took the two items from Link, put the completed commission into the book, then opened the hunter's manual and stamped a star in the hunter star column of Link's hunter card.

As the one star on the card turned into two, from now on, Link was a two-star hunter.

"By the way, Link, the guild just sent us a commission these days, requiring us to capture a living Blue Bear Beast. Your beast is just right. Do you want to hand it over?"

After stamping Link's card, Shui Yun suddenly remembered something, and started searching through the guild's letter of entrustment. She then placed a task commission in front of Link.

[urgent, urgent, urgent]

[Mission star rating:]

[Task Nature: Urgent]

[Mission location: random]

[Mission Objective: Capture a Blue Bear Beast]

[Limited time: 10 days]

[Reward: 9600]

[Client: The owner of the arena]

[Task description: The rich people of East Dorma suddenly want to watch a battle show between a blue bear beast and a hunter. Can you ask an experienced hunter to capture a young and healthy blue bear beast? Any one from anywhere will do. Urgent, urgent, urgent.]

Looking at this order form, Link's forehead was immediately covered with black lines.

"I know you are in a hurry, but please don't be in a hurry."

After complaining in his heart, Link lowered his head to think for a while, hesitating between money and eating bear paws for a while, and finally chose money.

There is no way, he gave too much.

The previous commission that Link accepted had a reward of only 4800, but this one doubled the price. He would be a fool not to accept it.

However, the guild will not allow Link to take advantage of this loophole to kill two birds with one stone.

"If you accept this commission, the guild will not give you the materials for the Blue Bear Beast. Is that ok?"

Link naturally wouldn't have any objection. Normally, if a living monster was sold to the guild, the monster materials subsidized by the guild would only sell for around 5000.

This order was obviously priced at a premium, allowing Link to make a lot of extra money.

"In a big city like Dondorma, there are a lot of stupid and wealthy people."

Phyllis, who was standing nearby, sighed and envied Link for just being able to come across such an order.

Why didn't she encounter such a good thing?

"Well, since you have become a two-star hunter, Link, you will have to shoulder the responsibilities of a hunter from now on. Here are some two-star missions. Do you want to take a few to practice?"

Shui Yun coughed dryly and did not respond to Phyllis's topic. For a perfect beautiful girl like her, talking about others behind their backs was an act that damaged her image.

However, as Link's hunter level increased, Shuiyun, who also played the role of a mother, showed a gratified smile, feeling that her son had finally made it.

There is a cultivated sense of accomplishment.

Link did not reject Shui Yun's suggestion. He was wondering what to eat in the next few days, so he took the menu that Shui Yun handed over.

Oh, I said it wrong, it’s a task order.
