Man in the Ark: Revitalizing Kazdel

Chapter 91: Conversation between Mother and Son

Roy rarely had a good night's sleep, and during this period, he had some strange dreams every night.

The Terra in the dream was very different from the present. Natural disasters were not as frequent as they are now, and patients with Originium disease were not as common as they are now.

Giant beasts with bodies as huge as mountains roam the world, and some people worship them as gods.

The humans living on the earth have not yet built a prosperous city of their own. The gods' people live in the Silver Mountains on the other side of the continent, and a war broke out with the ancestors of Tikaz that lasted for a thousand years.

The images that appeared in his mind were things that had happened on this land. Roy had seen some of them in the memories of previous demon kings, but some were both strange and familiar.

Every time Roy woke up from his dream, these images faded away like the tide. Roy wanted to grab something from them, but every time he got nothing.

Now sleeping back in his own doghouse, Roy felt very at home, and even the strange dreams that had been bothering him disappeared.

When I woke up, the sky was filled with sunset glow and the room was already dark.

"I wonder if dinner is still available..." Roy slowly got up from the bed, his steps a little unsteady.

Roy felt a little dizzy after sleeping for too long, so he simply washed his face with cold water to wake himself up.

"Okay, let me see if the cafeteria has introduced any new dishes while I was away from Rhodes Island."

......

The cafeteria of the Rhodes Island Land Cruiser, the usually bustling dining area was now in a strange silence.

Several veteran elite operators of Tower of Babel sat together, and the food on their plates had been devoured by them at a whirlwind speed, leaving no leftovers.

But none of them had any intention of leaving. While pretending to chat, their eyes were cast towards the two people sitting in a secluded corner.

Logos knew that his colleagues were peeking at him, and he really wanted to cast a spell on these onlookers that they would sneeze madly if they kept peeking at him. However, now he had to use all his strength to deal with the mother in front of him.

There is really no way to get away...

Originally, he was staying in the Rhodes Island Archives today as usual, sorting files and studying the history of the Sarkaz.

Just as he was immersed in a batch of ancient documents that he had just borrowed from Kazdel City, the door was pushed open.

Logos frowned slightly when he was interrupted, but then he smiled with gloating.

In order to remind other operators to knock on the door before entering the archive room, he cast a spell on the door handle that said "if you don't knock before entering, you will fall."

Logos turned his head towards the door, trying to see who had fallen under his spell this time.

"Your spells have improved greatly, Elfhanil. The sisters in the valley would be proud of you if they knew."

The Banshee Lord Lamaren wiped off the curse on the door handle and looked at Logos holding an ancient book in the room with a smile on her face.

The smile on Logos' face froze instantly.

"Why is mother here?"

"Shouldn't she be going back to the valley?"

"What's the matter with her coming here this time?"

......

After a brainstorming session, Logos finally remembered the most important thing at the moment - to welcome his mother.

"Mother, why are you here?" Logos hurried forward and gently lifted up Ramalen's hand.

"Your Highness summoned us to discuss some matters. After the meeting, I came to see you." The Banshee Lord sat on the chair that Logos prepared for her and explained the reason for her visit.

"Is there something wrong?" Logos had not heard of any major event recently that would be worthy of Her Highness Theresa summoning her mother from the valley to Kazdel City.

"We are going to wage war against several dukes of Victoria. If the plan goes well, Kazdel will gain unimaginable benefits from it."

"Your Highness agrees?"

"Well, this matter was jointly proposed by Roy and Theresa."

"Why?" Logos didn't understand at all. Kazdel had just ended a war that had lasted for several years, and now everything was moving in a good direction. Why start a war at this time?

"Because His Highness Roy has the magic to control natural disasters, he can lead us to win this war easily. And what we can gain from it will be a mobile city and a fleet of high-speed battleships..."

Logos couldn't believe what he heard. The last time he saw Roy use anti-gravity magic to lift the entire city of Kazdel and move it to its current location, he was already astonished.

Logos later asked Roy for advice on the anti-gravity spell. In fact, the principle of the spell was not complicated. However, he simply could not lift the entire mobile city, and even lifting the landship under his feet was very difficult.

Now that he knew that Roy had begun to control natural disasters, Logos didn't know what words to use to describe him.

"Mr. Roy, we don't know how much ability you have." Logos was now extremely grateful that Roy was on their side.

The Banshee Lord noticed that Logos was distracted, so she reached out and patted him on the shoulder.

"Aifaniel, let me ask you, what do you think of His Highness Roy?"

Logos thought for a moment after hearing his mother ask this question, and answered seriously: "He is the top powerhouse in this land, and the keeper of the future peace in Kazdel. He and Her Highness Theresa are of the same kind, and both are worth my lifelong pursuit."

Seeing that Logos gave Roy such a high evaluation, Ramalen nodded with satisfaction.

"By the way, I will stay in Rhodes Island for a while until the war is over. Aifanil, are you free to have dinner with me tonight?"

In this way, the Banshee Lord Lamaren dragged Logos to the ship's cafeteria. Logos was still trying to find a secluded corner to avoid attracting other people's attention.

However, his idea was completely dashed, as several elite operators happened to be having dinner here and immediately noticed Logos and the Banshee Lord beside him.

"Look, the Sarkaz woman next to Logos seems to be his mother..."

"Why is that big witch here?"

"It seems like they have a very good relationship between mother and son... It's really enviable..."

Just as several elite operators were discussing in low voices while secretly glancing at the situation over at Logos's side.

Roy pushed open the cafeteria door and walked straight to the window. After pacing back and forth in front of the window for a long time, he finally ordered a full plate of food.

Just as he turned around to find a good seat, the Banshee Lord sitting in the corner waved to him and invited him to sit with her.

Logos was confused and didn't understand why his mother did this.
