Man in the Ark: Revitalizing Kazdel

Chapter 53: Dead Soul Ancestor

"Ms. Elki, have you seen my future?" Roy was inexplicably nervous, because the Cyclops's foresight was usually tragic. Although the process might be inconsistent with the foresight, the result would always be right.

Elki nodded and told the future he saw.

"I saw that Kazdel had undergone tremendous changes, just as described in that dream. But one day you and Mr. Ducare performed a ritual, summoning something from the past that was capable of destroying everything, and then you and that thing disappeared from this land together."

After hearing Elki's vision, Roy was relieved. He thought the Cyclops saw the end of his death and just disappeared, which was no big deal.

Tracys and Neczre turned to look at Dukare on the side. Dukare was also full of confusion now, wondering what on earth he had summoned.

Theresa was very concerned about Roy's disappearance, and kept holding Elki's hand to ask about the details in the vision.

Unfortunately, Elki shook his head and said that this was all he could see now, and that the Cyclops' foresight was not 100% correct, as fate was always vague and elusive.

"Ms. Elki, thank you very much for traveling all the way from the Far North Icefield to Kazdel and bringing us the vision from the Cyclops."

Even though this foresight was not very good for Roy, he still expressed his gratitude to Elki.

"The Cyclops clan has been like this for thousands of years. Mr. Roy, there is no need to thank you." Elki replied with a smile.

Putting aside the foresight, Roy is now more interested in Tracy's return.

"General Tracy, have you finished dealing with the matter at Scar Mall?"

"Well, Scar-Eye didn't put up much resistance. He seemed to have known that we were going to attack Scar Mall. He seemed a little relieved to see that I was the one leading the people to clear out the business. I left some people to take over the affairs there and brought Scar-Eye back first."

Then Tracy turned to look at Elki and asked, "Miss Elki, do you want to meet him? After all, Scar-Eye is also a member of the Cyclops clan."

Elki shook his head. "No need. He has been expelled from the Cyclops clan. The sins he has committed over the years will be left to Your Highness to deal with."

Although Neczrei has always looked down on what Scar Emporium has done, he also acknowledges the significance of Scar Emporium's existence to ordinary Sarkaz.

Now Tracy suddenly said that he had cleared out the Scar Mall. While Nieczre was impressed by Tracy's decisiveness, he also expressed concern about the subsequent handling of those mercenaries.

"Teacher, we will arrange jobs for those mercenaries later. The cargo ships from Victoria, Longmen and Ursus are expected to arrive in two days."

"Once these landships arrive, the shortage of supplies in Kazdel will be alleviated," Theresa explained to Neczrei.

"Are you using witchcraft to trade with them again?" Neczrei couldn't think of anything else that Kazdel could offer to trade with other countries.

The only things that other countries value about the Sarkaz are their mercenaries and their thousand-year-old witchcraft.

"Of course not, Mr. Niezlei. We still have this." A piece of pure Originium was slowly taking shape in Roy's hand.

"Roy, how many pure Originiums do you have?" Dukare suddenly asked.

"I have as many pure Originium as there are Originium crystals on the land of Kazdel. In my hands, they are all the same." The light generated by the excessive concentration of Originium energy illuminated Roy's face.

"Compared to your previous medical spells, this is the hope for the revitalization of Kazdel." Neczre knew better than anyone that this spell would completely change the future of Kazdel.

......

After this short meeting, Theresa specially arranged a spacious residence for Elki so that she could have a good rest.

Dukare and Niezre also returned to their base in the city. The royal court meeting was imminent, and they still had some clan affairs to deal with.

Roy came to the Dead Soul Furnace again and asked for their opinions.

However, the one who came out this time was not the dead soul from before, but someone who looked more imposing.

It was now attached to a long sword, which was covered with breathing scales that opened and closed as it rose and fell in the air. Occasionally, flames would come out of the scales as they opened and closed, and it looked very angry.

Could it be the elder that the dead soul mentioned before?

"Dead souls, do you want to attend this royal court meeting?" Roy asked the sword floating in front of him.

"Well, I want to see what the unprecedented royal court meeting you mentioned is like."

"The Tikaz blood in your body reminds me of the demon king I served at that time. I hope you don't end up like him." A hoarse voice came from the sword.

Roy guessed that it had been in the fire for too long and its throat had become hoarse.

The dead soul said that it would stay with Roy during the royal court meeting, and the work at the furnace would be temporarily handed over to the obedient and steady younger generations in the tribe.

It is a good opportunity to take a look at the changes in Kazdel now.

Roy thought that as long as this ancestor was not too difficult to get along with, it would be fine for him to follow him. In fact, a flying sword would be quite cool.

Just like that, a strange scene appeared on the streets of Kazdel City. A Sarkaz was accompanied by a talking sword, and the two occasionally quarreled.

Roy felt a little regretful now. The old ancestor wanted Roy to take him to see everything, but Roy didn't want to, so the old ancestor kept nagging in Roy's ear.

After taking his ancestor to tour Kazdale City, the sun was about to set when Roy arrived at the current residence of Shining and Nightingale.

This street is basically inhabited by Babel operators, and Shining and Nightingale get along well with them.

When Shining was helping him arrange accommodation, Shining invited Roy to have dinner at his new home tonight. Roy hadn't eaten a meal made by Shining for a long time, so he readily agreed.

"Shining, here I come." Roy knocked on the door and it was Nightingale who opened it.

Seeing Roy coming, Nightingale showed a faint smile on his face.

"Shining, Roy is here." Nightingale shouted towards the kitchen, and then invited Roy to sit down first. The old ancestor also floated in with Roy.

Nightingale noticed the long sword floating beside Roy and asked curiously: "Roy, what's going on with this sword? It's floating. Is this your magic?"

Before Roy could open his mouth to introduce himself, the old man floated in front of Nightingale first.

"Ahem... I am an elder of the Dead Soul Clan. I am not this kid's magic."

"Oh..." Nightingale had heard about dead souls from Shining. Shining said they were a group of respectable old stubborn people, and it seemed to be true.

"Hello, Senior Dead Soul." Nightingale saluted the sword floating in front of him.

"Haha..., you are much more polite than this kid." The old ancestor seemed to like Nightingale, the polite junior, very much.

It simply ignored Roy beside it and started chatting with Nightingale.

While Nightingale was chatting with the dead soul, Shining came out of the kitchen wearing a black apron.

"Roy, you're here. It's time to eat. Go wash your hands first."

"Ah."

Roy simply rubbed it under the faucet a few times and went to help Shining serve the dishes.

The dishes that Shining prepared were simple, two meats, one vegetable, and one soup. Perhaps considering Nightingale and Roy's appetite, the portions of these dishes were large.

Shining placed Roy between himself and Nightingale, so Roy picked up food for Nightingale and Shining also picked up food for Nightingale.

Nightingale's bowl was soon filled with the food brought by Shining and Roy, and the old man was also nagging Nightingale to eat more.

"Okay, I understand. Thank you everyone." Nightingale looked at the bowl of meat in her hand with a smile on her face.
