Man in the Ark: Revitalizing Kazdel

Chapter 507 The Task Given to the Three Little Ones

Kazdel City, below the government office building

Amiya, Narcissa, and Hilda met at the traffic light intersection and greeted each other.

"Sister Amiya, you're here so early." Narcissa was wearing a light green dress with an oversized Rhodes Island uniform over it, her hands in her coat pockets.

“I remember there was still about half an hour before Mr. Roy gave us the time he was supposed to call us…” Hilda raised her wrist, glanced at the time on her watch, and said with some uncertainty.

"Hehe...it's alright," Amiya smiled sheepishly. She always had a strong sense of time and hadn't forgotten the agreed time.

But thinking that it was a task entrusted to her by Mr. Roy, she subconsciously went out early, hoping that she could help as soon as possible.

"Amiya, have you forgotten something?" Narcissa poked Amiya's waist with her finger and whispered a reminder.

"Huh? What is it?" Amiya turned to look at Narcissa, a hint of confusion flashing across her excited and expectant face.

"Lunch break ends at 2 p.m., and it's only 1:30 p.m. now." Narcissa stated the facts in the calmest tone. The reason she remembered it so clearly was because she had once arrived early, just like Amiya.

Amiya was slightly taken aback when she heard this, and then her expression became a little awkward: "Sorry... I forgot. How about we sit in the park nearby first?"

“It’s alright, let’s go in first. Miss Mio should be awake by now.” Narcissa led the two into the office building with ease, tiptoeing through the quiet offices during lunch break, and sat on the sofa in the waiting area.

Ms. Mio, who was preparing materials for her afternoon work, soon noticed the three little ones in the waiting area and thoughtfully brought them tea and snacks.

"Thank you, Miss Mio!" X3, the three little ones accepted the teacup with both hands and thanked her politely in unison.

"Why did you arrive so early?" Miss Mio smiled and sat down next to Narcissa, expertly stroking the soft cat's head.

Of the three little ones, the kitten was her closest friend. Amiya was too mature, and Hilda was too shy; the kitten was the best. Under Mio's skillful touch, Narcissa comfortably closed her eyes, letting out a gurgling sound from deep in her throat.

"It was me. I got the lunch break time wrong." Amiya raised her hand and readily admitted her mistake.

"Oh dear, if Amiya comes a few more times, she won't make a mistake." Taking advantage of the opportunity to comfort her, Miss Mio used one hand to rub Amiya's bunny ears, thinking that they felt really nice.

"I...I'll try..." Amiya shook her head, shaking off Ms. Mio's touch. Unless it was something particularly important, she didn't want to disturb Mr. Roy's work, so she came here relatively infrequently.

Mio, who was freed from Amiya's grasp, was not angry. She took the opportunity to secretly touch Hilda's droopy ear, who was engrossed in drinking tea and hadn't said a word. She had to make sure that everyone got their attention.

Ms. Mio chatted with the three little ones for a few minutes, then got up and left to continue organizing her work documents, leaving them to eat snacks and chat with each other to pass the time.

Half an hour passed quickly. Ms. Mio waved to the three little ones and led them into Roy's office, taking the processed documents with her as she left.

“Mr. Roy, we’ve arrived.”

"Hmm, not bad, very energetic." Looking at the three little ones standing in a row in front of him, Roy nodded in satisfaction, gestured for them to sit down, and began to assign them tasks.

In simple terms, it involves assisting government officials in registering and collecting the belongings of Sarkaz who died during the war. These belongings are then transported to the valley where the Banshees live in seclusion, where they perform a dirge ceremony to guide the souls of the dead.

Actually, there was no shortage of manpower for this task. The reason for asking the three little ones for help was to train their social skills, especially Hilda, the little rabbit.

Amiya is already a mature young woman, so there's nothing to worry about. Narcissa, affected by her painful experimental experience, is quiet and reserved. Hilda has always lacked confidence and usually speaks softly.

Collecting the relics will inevitably involve interacting with many strangers, which will be a great way to improve communication skills. With Amiya and Narcissa by Hilda's side, things shouldn't be too difficult.

"Good luck, I'm looking forward to your performance." After giving instructions, Roy reached out his big, warm hand and gently patted the three little heads, encouraging them softly.
