Man in the Ark: Revitalizing Kazdel

Chapter 456: Flames Burning the Earth

"Weicao, when did you get to know that gentleman?" Moran took off her stuffy performance clothes, her messy hair stuck to her sweaty forehead.

Even without the comments of the audience around her, she could still recognize the identity of the Sarkaz man who had just helped her.

He was one of the two dignitaries who spoke on the podium on the opening day, and his status was equivalent to that of the King of Victoria.

The man seemed to know Wei Cao, and they had a close relationship. Moran was quite curious about how Wei Cao knew him, and more importantly, she felt an inexplicable sense of familiarity from him.

The way he spoke, his temperament and conversation, his friendly attitude towards the reeds... always reminded her of that night when the Sarkaz men sat together by the campfire and sang Tara folk songs loudly.

But how could that be possible? The two of them looked completely different. And given his noble status, how could he possibly be sitting with a group of homeless Tara refugees?

"We knew each other before I met you. It was Mr. Roy who encouraged me to make up my mind to embark on this journey and find a new future for Tara."

"This trip to Kazdel to participate in the cultural exchange event was also thanks to Mr. Roy's care."

Wei Cao briefly explained to Moran how she and Roy met in the past, and deliberately concealed the existence of her sister Abrana.

She was not ready to be honest with her teammates. After all, her identity as a member of the Drake royal family was too sensitive.

"No wonder... So that's how it is. Mr. Roy is such a good man. Next time you have a chance, could you please express everyone's gratitude to him?"

Moran wiped the sweat from her forehead and tucked her hair behind her ear. Wei Cao's answer resolved her long-held concerns.

Why was he able to ride the land ship for free and receive preferential treatment everywhere along the way? It turned out that there was such a big shot who was secretly looking after him.

"I mentioned this to Mr. Roy, and he advised me not to worry about it and to focus on running this event so that more people can know about Tara's history and current situation."

"But the situation just now might happen again. I'm a little worried that those people might sabotage us secretly. We can't possibly trouble that gentleman with everything..."

Moran's face was full of worry. Those Victorians dressed in aristocratic clothes didn't look like they would give up.

"Everyone, be careful. When you close your stall, try to take all the props back with you. I'll handle those people during the performance."

Weicao had already thought of a response plan. It was actually a good thing if someone caused trouble, as it could give him the opportunity to attract more attention from passers-by.

"If you really can't handle it, you must tell everyone, don't bear it alone." Moran took Weicao's hand and persuaded softly.

"Okay, I get it. This performance was a success. After we close the stalls this afternoon, let's have a simple dinner to celebrate."

"Okay, I'll tell everyone." Moran nodded with a smile and turned back to behind the stage.

Wei Cao glanced at the stage, hope igniting in her eyes. She firmly believed that after a week of cultural performances, the current situation of the Tara people would be known to more people.

The flames have been kindled, and one day they will spread across the land, until the oppression of the people of Tara is burned away, and hope will sprout from the scorched earth.

Wei Cao looked up in Tara's direction and said, "I wonder what my sister is doing now. Is she still expanding the size of the Deep Pool team..."

......

In Victoria Oak County, Deep Pool leader Abrana stepped onto the podium, greeted by her trusted guards.

The huge crowd below the stage were all Tara people who had recently joined the Deep Pool Organization. They were eagerly waiting for the speech of their admired Red Dragon leader.

Among them, some yearn for war, some yearn for violence, and some yearn for liberation, but more people are confused in their hearts.

They are like small drops of water in the torrent of the times, swept forward by the surging tide of national hatred, unsure of what the future holds or what they can do.

Abrana is a natural leader who knows everyone's thoughts clearly, can put everyone in the most appropriate position, and allow some people to gain benefits from it.

The conspirators wanted to use the power of the Deep Pool to achieve their own goals, but their leader, Abrana, was far more greedy than they imagined.

Everything a follower possesses belongs to their leader, including their life and soul. The ghost army rumored in Deep Pond may be their final destination.

Abrana stood on the podium, gun in hand. Beneath her cold mask, she gazed down at the crowd, her eyes burning with the purple flame of death. She took a deep breath and began her mobilization speech.

"Soldiers, the Deep Pool Force I lead has members from all over Victoria. In due time, we will join forces with His Excellency the Duke of Wellington's army and together we will fight a war for survival."

"Before today, many may not have heard of the Deep Pool, or understand what we fight for. Your war is brewing now, but our struggle has been fought many times over the past decade. Even now, blood is being shed on behalf of the Tara."

"To describe the suffering of the people of Tara simply as abuse is insufficient. I saw their streets reduced to ash, their cities in ruins. Yet, the people of Tara, desperate for nothing more than a full stomach, braved execution to greet our soldiers and break off half of their bread for us."

"I saw the people of Tara struggling and crying out for help. But they had not waited ten years, but centuries. They pleaded with their powerful compatriots... and with their conscientious neighbors, with those Victorians who refused to side with the brutality."

Inspired by Abara's speech, the young people of Tara, who had experienced similar situations, clenched their fists in anger. The hesitation and confusion in their hearts gradually faded, replaced by the fire of revenge.

......

"We are wanderers on a new land. I will lead you on the path to building a new era and a new order. We can now clearly see that these misfortunes began with Victoria's imposition of rule and enslavement on Tara. Therefore, we should let Victoria herself deny the legitimacy of her past actions."

"The fire has begun. It will burn away the old order of things on this earth and the rotten shackles that bind us."

Abrana raised her spear, and cold, dazzling purple fire shot up into the sky, illuminating everyone's face and burying the fire.

"And in the new order that is to come, I implore you all. I implore you, regardless of Tara or Victoria, regardless of region or origin, to fight for the glorious justice, to fight for an unprecedented era."

"Until the people of Tara are free to write their own dreams, just like the people of Victoria, no one can stop us."
