Man in the Ark: Revitalizing Kazdel

Chapter 412: Demon King of Sarkaz, long time no see

"Quetzalcoatl from the Melander Foundation, how come you're in Kazdel?"

Muirseth looked warily at Holhaiya, who emerged from the street. He had heard a little about this top agent from the Meiland Foundation, as the director of the Rhine Life Ecology Department.

A researcher who never abides by academic ethics, a mercenary who violates the agreement with the employer, a spy with no stance at all... Although she has a bad reputation among insiders, it does not affect some people from hiring her.

As long as she can pay a satisfactory salary, she will complete some seemingly impossible and difficult tasks for her employer, provided that she does not suddenly change her mind during the task.

Some of Rhine Life's lesser-known secret projects had previously employed this agent, efficiently completing intelligence gathering and infiltration missions. However, the relationship was limited to employment, and Rhine Life's Human Resources Management Department had no intention of inviting her to join.

Even though she holds a very important position in the astrology and history circles of Columbia.

"Where I appear seems to have nothing to do with you, Director Muirseth." Holhaiya raised a provocative smile at the corner of his mouth, and his greedy eyes fell on Roy unscrupulously, as if he was looking at an extremely delicious prey.

"Mr. Roy, Demon King of the Sarkaz, long time no see. I understand the gratitude you promised me that day."

"Are you free tonight? Let's find a bar to have another drink." Holhaiya restrained his smile and made an invitation with a serious face.

"You... I suggest you don't do anything that's detrimental to Kazdel, otherwise your employer behind you might not be able to protect you." Muirseth noticed that there was something wrong with Holhaiya's eyes, so he stepped forward, stood in front of Roy and looked her in the eye.

"The mission assigned to me by the Meiland Foundation is roughly the same as the goal of the Rhine Life Sciences expedition this time. As for extending the invitation to Mr. Roy, it was entirely a personal matter."

In front of Roy, Holhaiya did not hide anything and laid out the mission content of the Melander Foundation and his own goals, showing sufficient sincerity.

The ultimate goal the entire family had pursued for over four hundred years now lay before their eyes. Restoring the glory of the Quetzalcoatl ancestors had been deeply etched in Holhaiya's mind since childhood, becoming an obsession.

Her outlook on life, world view, and values are all based on "becoming a feathered serpent," an idea that seems superstitious, ignorant, and habitual to outsiders.

Even though he was well-versed in the history of this land and had access to advanced technology and civilization, and knew that a Quetzalcoatl in its prime wouldn't last more than a few minutes against the firepower of several Columbia divisions, Holhaiya still decided to seek answers from Roy.

"Do you still want to become a feathered serpent?" Roy sighed inwardly. He wasn't surprised by Hol Haiya's choice. Perhaps only by revealing the cruel truth to Hol Haiya could she temporarily let go of her fantasy.

"Okay, I got it. There's a 'Thousand Cups Without Falling' bar on the commercial street. Let's meet tonight at 10 o'clock on time." Roy agreed on the time and place to meet tonight. Having achieved his goal, Holhaiya was satisfied and deliberately raised an eyebrow at Muirseth before leaving.

Out of the corner of her eye, she caught a glimpse of the three little ones standing not far away, and the white-haired Feilin standing in the middle immediately caught her attention.

After the "Lorcan Water Tank Incident," the out-of-control experimental subject that caused severe damage sparked great interest from the Colombian military. Military brass issued a high reward for information leading to the white-haired film girl.

Now that Holhaiya had found the missing experimental subject, she had no intention of informing the military. She valued the opportunity to sit down and talk with the Sarkaz Demon King more than the supposedly high reward.

The tall feathered serpent swung its tail and disappeared into the street.

"When did you get to know her? Let me tell you, when you're alone with her, you have to be careful and don't get fooled." Muirseth was worried that Roy would accidentally fall into Holhaiya's trap, so he poked his chest with his finger to remind him.

"Don't worry, she needs my help and won't do anything to me." Roy patted the back of her hand to comfort her, indicating that it was not a big problem.

Seeing Roy's guests leave, Amiya came forward with Narcissa and Hilda and asked.

"Mr. Roy, is that woman your friend? She makes me feel uncomfortable..." Amiya looked in the direction where Holhaiya disappeared. The madness, persistence, and confusion hidden under the elegant appearance were all sensed by the emotional spell.

The Quetzalcoatl family's four hundred years of inherited memories, every emotional fluctuation was astonishing. Although it was far less than that of Theresa and Roy, it was enough to make young Amiya feel uncomfortable.

"Friends? Not really, we just sat down and had a few drinks. Well, you've been walking around for so long, are you hungry?" Roy touched the three little ones' heads and asked with a smile.

"A little hungry..." Narcissa said succinctly, rubbing her belly, her tail and ears drooping. Hilda nodded in agreement; she was also a little hungry.

"Then let Sister Amiya take you to dinner. Sister Muirseth and I have something urgent to do. Sorry, I can't accompany you."

Because I had promised Muirseth that I would accompany her to meet the new colleagues at Rhine Life, I had to let the three little ones go to lunch on their own. With Amiya leading them, it shouldn't be a problem.

Narcissa was already able to control her spells, and with the help of a special spell suppressor, she wouldn't be able to use the alloy walls as plasticine.

If something really happens, Roy will have to worry about the damage to the surrounding buildings.

......

"Mr. Mariam, His Royal Highness has agreed to see you. You may come in."

The lich assistant came to the old man Kuranta, who was sitting on the sofa in the reception area with his eyes closed, with a polite smile on his face, and bowed slightly to remind him.

"Okay, please let this beautiful lady lead the way for me." Old man Kuranta opened his eyes, his silver-gray eyes were wise and deep.

"Follow me," the lich assistant smiled and led the way. Elder Kuranta followed behind, his steps steady and his collar and shirt neatly straightened.

The heavy wooden door slowly opened, and the lich assistant paused, gesturing with his hand. Elder Kuranta took a deep breath and stepped onto the soft carpet.

Meeting with the supreme leader of a country, even Mariam, who has experienced various extreme environments for many years, could not help but feel nervous.

With the heart of a fearless explorer, he holds his head high and moves forward into the unknown. This is his life creed.

Three people were sitting on the low-key and luxurious sofa, one of whom he had met briefly at the Rhine Life Directors' Meeting.

"Hello, Director Mariam, it's been a while since we last met."

"Hello, Director Muirseth. I didn't expect to see you here."
