Positive little sun, magical girl, I am awesome

Mary found that something was wrong with Lilith recently.

At the dinner table, she stopped chattering about her school experiences. Today, Lilith's favorite spicy sausage was cooked, but she only ate one and took the initiative to eat some vegetables. She said she was full and went back to her room.

Mary, the housekeeper's husband, and his son looked at each other and all noticed that the little girl was in a bad mood.

"Did she get bullied at school?" Mary's husband muttered.

The poor man immediately received a few cold stares. Shelley Town was named after the Shelley family. Although Lilith's last name was not Shelley, her mother was the only heir of the Shelley family, and she only had Lilith as a child.

Although the brewery is now managed by the Friar family, it is still nominally the Shelley family's business and will be inherited by Lilith in the future. How many children in the school have parents who work in the Shelley family's brewery? Who dares to mess with her? It's good enough that she doesn't bully others, okay? ?

In the end, the dinner table meeting among the few people did not reach a conclusion, so Mary got up and walked towards Lilith's room.

When Mary opened the door, she found that Lilith had finished her bath. The delicate little girl always hated the job of wringing out her hair. If Mary didn't take care of her, she would always lie on the bed, letting her golden hair as soft as seaweed hang on the side of the bed, waiting for it to dry slowly in the shade.

The little girl was reading "A Brief History of Gaia" again, and she was leaning her thin white legs against the wall without any image. When she heard the doorknob turning, she lazily complained without even raising her head: "Mary, you didn't knock on the door. I've already said that I'm grown up, shouldn't I give a lady some privacy? What if I'm not wearing any clothes?"

"What kind of adult would be like you? Besides, I'm the only one who comes into your room." Mary rolled her eyes, but her hands were not idle. She took the towel and went to the bed to help Lilith wipe her hair. "What kind of lady is too lazy to wipe her hair? If you fall asleep, you will wake up with a mess tomorrow. I don't want to listen to your screams while combing your hair. It's not a pleasant job."

"..." Now Lilith found that she couldn't say anything back. After all, she was a time traveler and could not take Mary's kindness to her for granted like she did before she recovered her memories.

In her opinion, Mary had spent her best years on her, even putting her own children behind. This love was too heavy, so even if her care was sometimes stressful, Lilith couldn't refuse. She simply shut up and continued to daydream while waiting for Mary to wipe her hair.

Mary didn't wait for Lilith to start bickering, and was secretly surprised. Oh no, she wouldn't be bullied like her bad-mouthed husband said.

"Lilith, how was school today?"

"good."

"I heard there's an exam today. Is the paper difficult?"

"generally."

"Today I went to the market in the next town and bought a lot of fresh and rare ingredients. Is there anything you want to eat tomorrow? I'll arrange it."

"It's all right."

"Lilith!!" Mary suddenly raised her voice.

Lilith was so frightened that she shivered. She didn't hold the book firmly and it hit her nose. Wow, this is so painful. I didn't expect that I could still get hurt in a world without mobile phones. Lilith covered her nose and cried, looking at Mary with tears in her eyes.

Mary saw that she was helpless again, so she put the towel aside, held her little face and asked softly, "Is there something unhappy at school? Can you tell me about it?"

Lilith shook her head and was silent for a while. Mary did not urge her. After a few minutes, Lilith slowly spoke, "Mary, how about I stay in Shelley Town? I don't want to be a priest anymore."

Mary was shocked, her eyes widened. "Lilith?! Why do you think so? It is such an honor to be chosen by the Church of Light."

Mary's attitude was as exaggerated as she imagined. Lilith murmured a few times, still not daring to say that her light power seemed to have disappeared. She was afraid that Mary would rush to find Mr. Aldington to check on her. She thought for a moment and continued to argue in a child's tone: "I still like Shelley Town and my forest. Besides, if you stay here, I can take care of you when I grow up."

These words came from the heart. Lilith had almost never felt sad about the absence of her parents because Mary gave her motherly warmth. She was willing to accompany and take care of this lady for the rest of her life.

Mary's wavering expression didn't last more than three seconds before she shook her head decisively. "Stop it, Lilith. I've already written to your father, inviting him and his family to come to Shelley Town to witness you joining the Church of Light."

Lilith was even more troubled. "Why invite them? I haven't even met them..." Maybe the first time they meet is to watch her being burned at the stake.

"That's why we have to invite them!" Mary looked at the girl's face as beautiful as the bright moon with a proud and gratified expression. "I hope your father will know what a wonderful daughter he missed! He will definitely regret his actions over the years."

"…………" Lilith was speechless, thinking that the naive Mary was overthinking. The father obviously had no feelings for her at all, so how could he change his attitude towards her just because she was selected into the Church of Light?

She understood that Mary was aggrieved by the years of indifference she had received and wanted to fight for her and her deceased mother, but it was probably just her wishful thinking.

"I won't let you do what you want this time, Lilith." Mary smoothed her half-dried hair and deliberately put on a stern look. "Practice the noble etiquette I taught you before in the next few days. Your father, Viscount Friar, may arrive at any time. Don't run into the forest again." I don't know what's wrong with this child. She likes to go into the forest since she was a child.

Mary got up and hurriedly packed a towel and some spare clothes for Lilith, closed the door and left, leaving the room in silence for Lilith.

Lilith remained lying horizontally, staring at the embroidery on the bed curtain above her head. Since the God of Crossing did not give her any instructions or help, why didn't she customize the main quest herself?

——Or, run away?
