Positive little sun, magical girl, I am awesome
Chapter 584 I'm Discussing You
“I caused quite a stir in Highgarden before, and everyone in the city has seen my face. If I were to seduce Count Spencer, he would have screamed and run away long ago. Unlike you, you just stood in the garden and smiled at him, and he chased you into the maze.”
As dawn broke, a low-key carriage drove alone through the morning mist, the silhouettes of the two people in the driver's seat gradually becoming clearer.
After explaining, Lilith patted Aryan's puff sleeves in a fawning manner: "I've heard you imitate a woman's voice before, so I know you're experienced. Sigh, you've stretched this neckline too much. You can have it! Can I go to the back and take a nap, Master of Psychology?"
After cleaning up the traces, Aryan learned that Lilith had only been involved in a murder twice, so he refused to let her sleep in the carriage, saying that she had to wait until they got back and drink a calming potion before sleeping. He dragged her to the driver's seat to chat, and Lilith confessed everything she could, until her throat was dry.
But Aryan listened with great interest and wouldn't let her off the hook: "So this Spencer not only almost ruined your blue-haired friend's family, but also your black-haired partner's future..."
He smiled thoughtfully, pursing his lips: Who exactly did the Mother Goddess take action for?
Lilith was exhausted. They had set off from Gretia in the late afternoon and arrived at Count Spencer’s suburban manor at midnight. Now the sun was rising and they hadn’t even seen the city gates yet!
“I used to have a flying pet, it was kind of silly, but if it were still here, at least we wouldn’t have to travel so hard.” Lilith yawned and wiped away the tears from the corners of her eyes.
“If you shout now, maybe some other silly guy will come down and give you a ride,” Aryan said casually, flicking the reins.
He didn't keep the goddess in suspense and honestly confessed, "I saw Lord Zephyrion last night."
Lilith clicked her tongue in amazement: "So dragons can turn corners when they fly."
She told him to leave quickly because she didn't want the conflict to escalate and make Zephyrion the public enemy of the city of Gretia. Who knew that the idiot would just leave and disappear for so long.
Aryan was pleased with her calm demeanor. He gracefully tucked his wig behind his ear and said, "You really spoiled him back then. It's good that he's like this now. Dragons are greedy and selfish creatures. They always regard all the treasures of the world as their own possessions. You should have set some rules for him a long time ago."
The obvious attempt to sow discord left Lilith both amused and exasperated. "It seems this guy used to be incredibly unpopular."
"Outstanding level".
Aryan didn't say a good word for the black dragon at all. After all, besides the mother goddess, the night elves were the ones who took the most care of the little black dragon back then, and he still felt a burning desire to retaliate when he thought about those chaotic times.
Thus, the latter half of the return journey became Aryan's exclusive accusation session, recounting the Black Dragon's various misdeeds. As for Zephyrion's boast that he would uncover the truth on his own? Neither of them took it seriously.
—After all, it's Zephyrion!
The two chatted idly along the way, and by the time the carriage arrived at the Goredia Academy, it was already morning.
However, Lilith did not get to touch the soft bed she longed for, and her night clothes, which she was so proud of, looked ridiculous and conspicuous on campus during the day, and were soon discovered by her friends.
“Great, Lilith! We thought you overslept.” Hannah glanced at Lilith a few times, then accepted her outfit; after all, Lilith always had something new to offer.
“We’re on our way to find you. The runes on that castle are amazing, like a dream. Everyone loves them. You absolutely have to finish it, or it’ll be too late.” Lulu grabbed Lilith’s arm and dragged her toward the castle.
"Wait, wait—" Lilith was on the verge of tears. Why did she have to go and decorate the castle walls with magical runes? She really made trouble for herself.
But it was too late to say anything; Lilith was getting further and further away from the bed and closer and closer to the castle.
Fortunately, the companions weren't just cold-blooded supervisors. Lulu, Hannah, and Jaina were the first to lend a hand, and later everyone's guardians joined in. Although they couldn't draw runes, they could still move paint and hold the ladder steady. The castle rooftop quickly became lively, filled with constant noise.
"Ah, youth is wonderful." Aryan stood higher and sighed with a smile. He loved watching this lively scene—especially when some people couldn't stand it.
"Hmph." Zephyrion, who appeared and disappeared like a ghost, let out a cold snort. "They're nothing but a bunch of shallow brats. While they were fawning over me, you were probably nowhere to be found!"
"So you already know each other, that's great." Aryan chuckled softly, pointing his long, slender finger into the crowd: "My lord, do you prefer the blue-haired one or the black-haired one?"
Zephyrion: ?
"By human standards, the Mother Goddess should be an adult by now, right?" Aryan stroked his chin thoughtfully. "Do you think she might start a family soon?"
Zephyrion pondered for a moment, then his expression turned as if he had been struck by lightning.
Aryan was secretly delighted. This guy always boasted about his special relationship with the Mother Goddess. If the Mother Goddess really had a blood relative, let's see how smug he would be.
"Blue hair and black hair, right?" Zephyrion snapped back to reality, grabbing Aryan's shoulder and saying menacingly, "..."
"Simple, go and kill them all!"
“You have no right to order me around.” Aryan yawned. “Besides, didn’t you come back to help the Mother Goddess regain her memories?”
“I haven’t found it yet—cough cough! What time is it now!” Zephyrion grabbed the slender elf and shook her violently. “Isn’t killing a reward for you night elves? I’m rewarding you with a black-haired one, and I’ll go take care of that blue-haired one. This isn’t an order, is it? This is a discussion! I’m discussing you!”
Aryan rolled his eyes so hard they almost reached the sky. He leaped off the top of the castle and slipped away. Lord Zephyrion always triggered the restrictions when he entered the campus, and he didn't want to be discovered with the black dragon; that would be a direct challenge to the dignity of the night elves.
Although there were people helping out today, by the time everyone had finally completed this massive project, students in formal attire had slowly gathered on the lawn in front of the castle. They gazed at the gradually brightening castle and couldn't help but marvel at it. Tonight, this light would envelop the entire city of Goredia.
The graduation ball is about to begin.
Lilith's mental energy was already depleted and her consciousness was fading.
When everyone changed into their formal attire and returned to the ball, they saw Lilith clinging tightly to Miss Leila's back with her eyes closed, like a koala.
"Ah, Leila, you've grown taller," Lilith exclaimed vaguely. Now her sister's height was just right for her to rest her chin on her hand when she bent down slightly.
“…Eating vegetables and drinking milk does help.” Leila said with a hint of disdain, but she stood firmly in place, letting her sister use her as a human cushion. “Why are you so sleepy? Didn’t you sleep well last night?”
"Going to kill cockroaches." Lilith nuzzled Leila's head.
