But we can't put all our hopes there, we need a backup plan.

At this time, no cave was found to shelter them, so they had to activate the backup plan and "build a house" by themselves.

Yesterday Wen Liang saw a palm tree and thought about the skills he learned in survival shows. He needed to collect a lot of large leaves that could be used to make a roof and walls. If they were tied tightly, although they would not be useful in storms, they could still be used to provide shelter from the wind and rain.

After collecting a large pile of vines with great effort, Wen Liang dragged his tired body back to the beach.

It looks like the sun has passed directly overhead again, so let’s eat first.

Wen Liang was able to make a fire more easily the next time. This time he did not tear paper to start the fire because he found a very good fire starter - the bark of a dry tree!

This time Wen Liang learned from last night's lesson and prepared enough firewood, placing many semi-dry branches and tree trunks around the campfire.

They were all picked up from the beach and the woods. A storm destroyed many big trees, and some were destroyed very completely, leaving only small pieces.

I put the instant noodle pot on the shelf, opened the coconut shell and boiled it, and had lunch with the strange-tasting pizza I got today.

The beams of the house are passed through the vines tied to the trees and then tied tightly with dry vines, and the beams are ready.

Take out the palm leaves and use the axe to chop the straw. Only the upper half is enough, and the chopped straw can be used to make fire. It's the best of both worlds!

After arranging enough palm leaves and placing them on two slender branches, Wen Liang tied the palm leaves to the branches with vines as thin as thumbs.

After tying it up, it looks like a wall of leaves. Although it is not very strong, it should be able to block out light wind and rain.

After making two more leaf walls, the sky gradually darkened and Wen Liang's hands were already slightly blistered.

Make the bonfire bigger, and while there is still light, quickly put the two leaf walls on the beams and secure them with vines.

The two back walls are covered with two layers of palm leaves, which can effectively block the sea breeze, and the front wall can be used as a movable door.

When the moon rose, a small, crude shelter appeared!

Looking at the "house" that was built from scratch, Wen Liang was extremely satisfied. This was the first time he built it, and he didn't expect it to be successful in one go!

Although we haven’t experienced the test of wind and rain yet, at least we don’t have to blow the sea breeze tonight!
