A Mysterious Journey Through the Shang Dynasty
Chapter 12 Crisis 4 lurks
Hey, my life in the Shang Dynasty is like a roller coaster, sometimes calm, sometimes full of danger. Just after resolving the crisis in the village, before I could catch my breath, new troubles came to me like a storm.
Wan'er and I stood in the middle of the village, watching the villagers whose conditions were gradually getting better, with relieved smiles on our faces. But the smiles didn't last long, as an unusual feeling crawled around in my heart like a little ant. Those bad guys who had been following us like ghosts must be planning something bad in the dark.
Oh my god, the sun was shining in the village, but we had no mood to enjoy the warmth. We were helping to clean up the mess caused by the disease in the village, and suddenly, a very light sound of footsteps reached our ears. Wan'er and I looked at each other like frightened little rabbits, and immediately became alert. We quietly hid in a corner, with our eyes wide open, observing the movements around us. Sure enough, after a while, we saw several sneaky figures wandering around the village. They looked like the little mice stealing oil, which made people angry.
Wan'er held my clothes tightly, her voice as soft as a mosquito's: "Su Yao, it must be those bad guys. What on earth do they want to do? We finally solved the problems in the village." I frowned, my mind was spinning rapidly, and I was also thinking about the purpose of these guys. "I guess they are coming for our books and herbs. These guys are bad, we have to be careful and never let them succeed."
We quickly found a few strong villagers in the village and told them the situation. When everyone heard it, their faces changed immediately and they were very nervous. "What should we do? We can't let them take away the things we got with great difficulty." A villager stamped his feet anxiously. Several of us gathered together, heads next to each other, and began to discuss countermeasures. In the end, we decided to strengthen the village's security and take turns to stand guard at night, and we must not let those bad guys take advantage of the opportunity.
The night slowly enveloped the entire village like a big black cloth. The village was eerily quiet, with only the occasional barking of dogs breaking the chilling silence. Wan'er, I and a few other villagers stood guard at the entrance of the village, staring intently at the movement in the darkness. The wind blew gently, rustling the leaves, as if something was quietly approaching in the darkness.
Suddenly, we heard a slight rustling sound, like some small animal running through the grass. Everyone immediately became nervous and clenched their weapons. Their hearts were in their throats and they dared not breathe. After a while, we saw several dark shadows slowly approaching the village. We shouted, "Who? Stop!" When the dark shadows heard our voices, they not only did not stop, but immediately quickened their pace and rushed towards the village like hungry wolves.
We and the villagers rushed forward and started a fierce battle with the bad guys. The bad guys were holding knives and sticks, and they looked ferocious and scary. Although we were few in number, we couldn't be afraid. We had courage and determination. We used the farm tools and simple weapons in our hands to resist. The scene was like an ancient battlefield.
During the fight, I glanced and saw a bad guy rushing towards Wan'er. My heart tightened, as if someone had grabbed me hard. Without thinking, I rushed over to block Wan'er. The bad guy waved a knife and slashed at me viciously. I dodged to the side like a nimble little monkey and then took the opportunity to hit his leg with the stick in my hand. The bad guy fell to the ground and screamed in pain. The sound was particularly harsh in the dark night.
Wan'er was also very brave. She held a carrying pole and confronted another bad guy. The bad guy looked at Wan'er with a contemptuous smile, which was really annoying. "Little girl, you are quite powerful. But you are no match for me." As he said that, he rushed over with his teeth and claws bared. Wan'er did not flinch, waving the carrying pole and fighting him. Wan'er's eyes were full of determination, just like a female general on the battlefield.
After a fierce battle, we finally drove the bad guys away. But we also paid a price, and several villagers were injured. We quickly bandaged their wounds, and our hearts were full of worry. Looking at the injured villagers, we felt very sad. It was all the bad guys' fault. They made everyone suffer.
The next day, the sun rose as usual, but we were in a particularly heavy mood. We knew that the bad guys would not give up and would come back to cause trouble. We had to think of a way to solve this problem once and for all. We gathered together and our brains began to work quickly. Finally, we came up with an idea, which was to hide the books and herbs, and then lure the bad guys into the trap and catch them in one fell swoop.
We found a very secluded place and carefully hid the books and herbs. Then, Wan'er and I deliberately showed up in the village, pretending that nothing had happened. The bad guys were fooled. They thought we didn't know their plan yet, so they started to hang around the village again.
We waited patiently, and when they approached the village, we suddenly gave a signal. The villagers immediately rushed out, like a tiger coming down the mountain, and surrounded the bad guys. The bad guys saw that they had fallen into the trap and wanted to escape, but it was too late. Together with the villagers, we caught them all. Everyone had a smile of victory on their faces.
However, we knew that this was only a temporary solution. There must be a bigger force behind those bad guys, so we had to be more careful. We started thinking about what to do next. At this time, we were in a state of panic.
Just when we were worried about the future, a mysterious man appeared. He was wearing a black robe and a mask on his face, so people couldn't see his face clearly. He suddenly appeared in front of us like a ghost, and his voice was so low and scary. "You are in big trouble. Those people will not let you go." Wan'er and I looked at each other, full of doubts. "Who are you? Why do you tell us this?" I asked bravely. The mysterious man was silent for a while, and then said: "It doesn't matter who I am. What's important is that you have to leave here as soon as possible, otherwise your life will be in danger." After that, he turned and left, as if he had never appeared.
We looked at the mysterious man's back, and our hearts were full of contradictions. We didn't know whether we should believe him. If we left here, our adventure might be interrupted. But if we didn't leave, we might face greater danger. This was really a difficult choice.
After some painful thinking, we decided to leave here first and find a solution. We said goodbye to the villagers, took the books and herbs, and embarked on a new journey. We don't know what we will encounter in the future, but we believe that as long as we face it bravely, we will be able to overcome the difficulties.
