Pokémon cross over into the real world
Chapter 597 Treasure Vault (1)
Wang Qiyi and his friends all requested Elder Dong's permission to temporarily withdraw from the battlefield. His friends naturally wanted to return home to complete their university studies, while Wang Qiyi, spurred by Mewtwo's experience, wanted to return to seclusion for a period of training, attempting to help his Pokémon break through to a higher level. With his current strength, although he had already reached the pinnacle of human trainers, he was still not qualified to converse with the gods.
Logically, the fighting in Southeast Asia is not yet over, and war could break out again at any time as long as negotiations are not completed. Therefore, the volunteer army generally cannot withdraw unless there is a legitimate reason, such as the loss of a main force of Pokémon or serious injury to a trainer. However, Wang Qiyi's contribution to this war is extremely significant, and given his special status and position, the League will generally agree to his requests.
Along with Wang Qiyi, Jia Wencheng and his friends also received special treatment. Jiang Zining, He Jiaying, and Yin Fanxing felt this most keenly, as they always had an exceptionally smooth experience exchanging military merits for resources from the logistics department, which led to their elves growing rapidly.
Before returning to China, Wang Qiyi was summoned by Chairman Parker and taken to Alliance Island. It was said to be a reward for his great contributions. Wang Qiyi certainly couldn't miss such an opportunity; he had already witnessed the wealth of the International Pokémon Alliance. On the Southeast Asian battlefield, there were over 100,000 volunteers from various countries, and the military merits they earned on the battlefield could be exchanged for Pokémon training resources at the logistics department.
Resources below level four would cost tens of thousands of yuan in the Pokémon market, with many worth over a hundred thousand Dragon Coins – a huge sum for ordinary people. Yet here, these resources were delivered and distributed like cabbages, truckload after truckload.
Level 4 and 5 cultivation resources are generally traded on the market for hundreds of thousands of dragon coins, and they are piled up in boxes in the logistics department's warehouse. There are also quite a few level 6 resources that cost millions, just like buying wholesale. Back when Wang Qiyi participated in the World's Number One Martial Arts Tournament in the capital, he could only get a level 6 fighting belt by winning the championship.
Fighting-type trainers from all over the world flock to this Level 6 Fighting Belt, demonstrating the rarity and value of Level 6 training resources. Even within the League, Level 6 resources are not uncommon. Only Level 7 resources are relatively scarce.
However, level 7 resources no longer held much appeal for Wang Qiyi. He already possessed three level 9 resources: a Normal-type Stone Tablet and a Fighting-type Stone Tablet, as well as the blue orb held by Little Red. If Hoopa's exclusive equipment, the Spatial Ring, counted, he would have four level 9 items. He also had two level 8 resources: one was Pikachu's exclusive Electric Ball, and the other was a dragon scale given to him by a giant Dragonite.
There are plenty of level seven resources, such as the psychic gem that Ah-Dai always carries, Gamabunta's poisonous sludge, and the unmelting ice he got from Nine-Tails. The Chen family of Nan Yue Kingdom also contributed a lot of level seven resources. There's also the high-level equipment that Wen Xinyi helped him collect all over the world.
Given Wang Qiyi's current appetite, the Alliance would need at least Level 8 resources to pique his interest. President Parker knows Wang Qiyi is now one of the world's richest men, so he's well aware of his ambitions. Furthermore, he intends to groom Wang Qiyi as the future president of the International Pokémon League; someone capable of managing the entire world must be at the pinnacle of global power. Therefore, he won't be stingy, directly offering Wang Qiyi the highest-level resources the Alliance has collected in recent years.
"Over the past century, trainers in the League have amassed a wealth of resources from hidden realms around the world. This treasure trove contains only the highest-level items. In the past, even legendary trainers in the League who made great contributions only borrowed these items; they were never given away." President Puck led Wang Qiyi to the secret treasure trove beneath the League Island.
There was a metal gate in front of the vault; judging by the thickness of its armor, even a missile probably couldn't penetrate it. After Chairman Parker inserted the key and entered the password, it took two monstrous strengths working together to pull open the heavy metal gate.
“The situation is different now. A world-class secret realm is about to descend. If what Mewtwo from the Elf Cult said is true, the gods of the Elf world will descend to destroy all humans, which means the Third War of Monsters is about to begin. This time we cannot use firearms and must fight entirely with elves. Therefore, high-level elves that are friendly to humans are our trump card.”
"Therefore, I plan to give all these resources in the treasure vault to the world's best trainers so that they can quickly level up their Pokémon and work together to deal with the upcoming Third War of Monsters. You are the fastest-growing trainer I have ever seen, and your training methods are absolutely world-class. You can choose the treasures here first."
Wang Qiyi thanked President Parker and, rubbing his hands together like a fly, entered the Alliance Treasury. The treasury was vast, structured like an air-raid shelter, presumably serving both as a storage space and a refuge. Inside, it resembled an anthill with numerous passageways; anyone entering alone would surely get lost.
Following Chairman Parker through a maze of turns, we arrived at a large room, which resembled a museum, with various items encased in glass. Each item was spaced about ten meters apart, presumably to prevent the energy emanating from these high-level resources from resonating.
"Can I pick whatever I want here?" Wang Qiyi asked again to confirm.
President Parker nodded: "Choose whatever you like, but you can only take one item. If there's anything else you like, don't worry, we might hold a World Cup Guardian Battle this year, and these resources might be offered as rewards. Just come and participate and win them."
"Then I'll have to take a good look." With that, Wang Qiyi released Calyrex from its Poké Ball. "Wang Lingqi, let's take a look together. If you think any of the resources here are suitable for you, just tell me." Calyrex is currently the dark horse in Wang Qiyi's team, so if there are any resources here that suit him, he will naturally be the first choice.
In the game, a Pokémon can only carry one resource item. Calyrex's exclusive item is the Bondage Pledge, which allows it to fuse with Black Horse, instantly transforming it from a pseudo-legendary to a legendary Pokémon. However, in reality, things are different. As long as the boost from resources can be utilized, carrying multiple items is perfectly acceptable. Even Gyarados can use Kyogre's Blue Orb, so high-level Ghost or Psychic-type resources can certainly be used by Black Horse Calyrex as well.
"A silver feather!" Wang Qiyi spotted a silver-white feather in a shop window. In the game, this was the feather of Lugia, the sea god, used to summon Lugia. Here, however, it possessed the energy fluctuations of a level nine divine resource, suggesting it was more of a flying type, suitable for both Egg and Dracula.
"This feather was obtained from a divine beast, Lugia, which appeared during the First War of the Beasts. A silver feather, it possesses the power to control the ocean—truly god-level combat power. An army of tens of thousands sacrificed just to obtain a single feather from it. However, this feather contains an immense amount of energy; it must be the essence of its power," Guild Master Parker explained as Wang Qiyi stopped in front of the silver feather.
Wang Qiyi continued walking and saw the Rainbow Feather, Ho-Oh's feather. According to Chairman Puck, the establishment of the International Pokémon League was related to this feather; the first chairman of the World Pokémon League was the Rainbow Warrior, recognized by Ho-Oh. Ho-Oh was the first god-level Pokémon to support humanity, and it was with its support that the first War of the Monsters ended. After the first chairman passed away, the Rainbow Feather was left in the treasure vault.
Holy Ash, a divine treasure left behind by Ho-Oh, is contained in a crystal box like ordinary ashes. It's a consumable item; once activated, it can instantly resurrect a Pokémon from the ashes. It's also effective on humans, making it a top-tier healing artifact. While it doesn't greatly benefit Pokémon training, its instant healing ability is practically divine for humans.
