Farmhouse Green Plum

Chapter 10: Getting into Trouble (Part )

"Eat? How can I be in the mood to eat!" Aunt Meihua's voice was so sharp and piercing that it hurt Daya's ears.

Taking a closer look in the moonlight, she discovered that Aunt Meihua was filled with anger, as if she had come to demand an explanation.

Her heart skipped a beat and she remembered Song Tian's panicked face in the evening. Could it be that the cows had eaten Aunt Meihua's crops?

Sure enough, the next moment, Aunt Meihua waved her away and strode into the house: "Is your Tianwa back? How come his cattle ate most of the millet in my submerged fields? Your cattle are very expensive. They don't eat grass but millet? People can't afford it..."

Yang was shocked when she reached the door of the main hall. She suddenly turned her head to look at Song Tian. Second Uncle Song's face also darkened. He asked before she did, "What's going on?"

Song Tian swallowed his saliva and argued with a pale face: "I, I didn't."

Daya pursed her lips. Aunt Meihua's submerged field was near Qinggang Bay where Song Tian grazed his cattle. Was Song Tian too anxious to join in the fun and didn't tie up the cattle securely? Or was it too close to Aunt Meihua's field, so the cattle could reach the millet?

I hope it's the latter, so I can lose less money.

After hearing his words, Aunt Meihua became even angrier, staring at Song Tian as if she wanted to eat him: "How dare you lie! My Cui Wa saw him lead the cow out of my family's submerged field with her own eyes, who else could it be but him?

"Go! Go to the field and see if the cow ate it. Who is wrongly accusing him?"

As he said this, he took Yang's hand and wanted to take her to the scene to see it.

Yang was so angry that her liver hurt. She dodged the hand she stretched out and said with a smile: "Sister-in-law, calm down. I didn't say you wronged him. I just want to ask for clarification."

Aunt Meihua frowned and said, "What else is there to ask? My Cuiwa saw it with her own eyes. He was the only one herding cattle there today!"

She put her hands on her hips and scolded, "He didn't want to go to the grass on the other side of Qinggang Bay, but insisted on leading the cow to the paddy field next to my house. It's an animal after all, and if you don't hold it, it will take a bite. What's his intention?"

They were all family members who knew each other well, so having said that, the possibility of wrongly accusing him was very small. Besides, Uncle Song knew very well what kind of person his own kid was, so he immediately kicked Song Tian.

Song Tian was prepared and dodged behind Li. Before he even got close to her, he started yelling, "I was wrong! Grandma, I know I was wrong! The grass on the back of Qinggang Bay has been eaten up. The grass is denser over there. I was holding the lead the whole time..."

Daya couldn't believe it, so after hearing the shouting, he just dropped the rope and ran away, without even thinking about tying up the cow first?

Aunt Meihua also reacted quickly and was furious. She stormed into the main hall and roared at Song Tian: "So you let the cows run wild in my field to eat. I told you that no matter how blind you are, you can't tie the cows to the edge of the field. It's such a large field, and you only have bare stalks left..."

Uncle Song’s eyes went dark.

Li was also confused. He thought that the cow was not tied far enough, so it ate some of the millet at the edge of the paddy field. It was not tied to the field at all and ate in the field. So it must have eaten...

Li didn't dare to think how much the cow had eaten.

While he was distracted, he even forgot to stop Uncle Song.

He pulled Song Tian out from behind Li and slapped him in the face: "You idiot, I sold everything I had to send you to school, but you wanted to climb a tung tree. I told your kid to herd cattle, but your kid didn't have a heart and refused to tie him up with a rope. How could you think of that..."
