Beautiful girl travels through time and space to become a princess

Chapter 46 Having trouble sleeping and eating

It's a new day, and the sunlight shines through the window onto Lin Yuwei's face. She wakes up slowly, but is overwhelmed by the sorrow in her heart and feels a little breathless.

The maids came in to serve her quietly, but Lin Yuwei just let them do whatever they wanted. After breakfast, she still couldn't muster up the energy, so she simply went back to bed.

"Princess, it's not a good idea for you to be depressed all day long. Why don't you go out for a walk and relax?" the maid suggested cautiously.

Lin Yuwei was silent for a moment, and finally nodded.

She changed into light clothes and walked aimlessly in the palace with her maid. Passing by the imperial garden, she saw the beautiful flowers swaying in the breeze, but she could not feel their vitality at all.

"Princess, look how beautiful the flowers are. Do they look like the dress embroidered with peonies that you wore last time?" The maid tried to find some topics to cheer Lin Yuwei up.

Lin Yuwei just glanced at it calmly and said, "No matter how beautiful a flower is, it will eventually wither."

Continuing forward, they came to a pond. The fish in the pond swam happily, but Lin Yuwei saw her own loneliness from it.

"I am like a fish in this pond, trapped in this palace and unable to find a way out." She said softly.

The palace maid didn't know how to respond and could only stand by silently.

At noon, the sun was getting hotter. Lin Yuwei returned to her bedroom and had a light lunch, but it tasted like chewing wax.

After lunch, Lin Yuwei sat in front of the window, picked up the needle and thread and wanted to embroider something, but her mind was not on it at all, and she pricked her finger after a while.

"Oh, Princess, please be careful." The maid hurriedly brought gauze to bandage her wound.

Lin Yuwei looked at the sky outside the window and murmured to herself: "I wonder what Shen Mo is doing at this moment, and whether he is thinking about me too."

In the evening, a gorgeous sunset glow appeared in the sky. Lin Yuwei walked to the steps outside the palace and sat down, staring blankly at the sunset glow.

"Princess, dinner is ready." The palace maid came to report.

Lin Yuwei shook her head, "I'm not hungry, you guys eat."

The palace maids looked at each other, but did not dare to disobey.

At night, Lin Yuwei lay in bed, tossing and turning, unable to fall asleep. She thought of the warm nights she had spent with Shen Mo, and tears welled up in her eyes.

"Shen Mo, I miss you so much." She sobbed softly.

After an unknown amount of time, Lin Yuwei finally fell asleep from exhaustion.

However, in her dream, she returned to the unfinished wedding scene of her previous life. Seeing Shen Mo's anxious face, she wanted to reach out and touch him, but she couldn't reach him.

"Ah!" Lin Yuwei woke up from her dream, sweating profusely.

"Princess, what's wrong with you?" The palace maid who was on night watch came over when she heard the voice.

Lin Yuwei panted, "It's okay, I just had a nightmare."

The palace maid lit the lamp, and Lin Yuwei looked at the flickering candlelight, secretly swearing in her heart that she must find a way to go back no matter what.

That night, Lin Yuwei could no longer fall asleep until the sky outside the window gradually turned pale, and a new day was about to begin.

When Lin Yuwei woke up, her eyes were bloodshot, but she was determined. She knew that she could no longer live in this muddleheaded way, and she had to take the initiative to find a way to return to her previous life.

After a simple breakfast, Lin Yuwei locked herself in the study and began to read the ancient books she had found in the palace library. She carefully searched for every word that might be related to time travel, not missing any clues.

"Princess, take a break. Your eyes won't be able to bear it if you keep looking at it like this." The palace maid whispered.

Lin Yuwei didn't even raise her head, "I'm fine, we must find a solution as soon as possible."

Time passed by, and Lin Yuwei's eyes felt sore from reading for so long, but she still refused to stop. Finally, in a yellowed ancient book, she found a vague record that mentioned a mysterious ritual and a key token that might be able to open the door of time and space.
