Big Capitalist
Chapter 868 The road to this point ends here.
After Andorra finished speaking, his expression became stern and he said, "Let's step back for a while."
Ruger looked puzzled and couldn't help asking, "Your Highness, Second Prince, what are you going to do?"
A hint of fanaticism and ambition flashed in Andor's eyes, and he sneered, "I plan to have all those guys from the Dawn Knights enter the dream world and earn me gold! I want to be the strongest in Arad!"
At this moment, Andor no longer looked like he was bound by the [shackles] before. He couldn't wait to show his long-hidden [ambition], and the continent of Arad was where his ambition started.
At the Merlin Chamber of Commerce, Merlin looked at the account books in his hands that recorded the chamber's transactions, and a smile spread across his face. "This is truly a lucrative business!"
He couldn't help but sigh that the qualifications to travel to the dream world have become a hot commodity and can be sold for a lot of gold coins.
Even many nobles and officials of the Aize Federation came to him to get close to him and build relationships, just to be able to enter the mysterious continent of Arad.
They are not just exploring to satisfy their curiosity, but more importantly, they have heard that the power of the soul can be enhanced in that continent, which undoubtedly has a fatal attraction for those who pursue power.
Now the number of people who spend money on games is increasing day by day, and Celia's gift boxes are selling like hot cakes.
Merlin flipped through the account book and thought, "Looks like it's time to launch the gift package."
He looked up at the calendar and his eyes suddenly lit up. "The Harvest Festival is coming soon. This is a great opportunity to launch a Harvest Festival gift package."
Merlin quickly conjured up the contents of the gift pack. "A set of Harvest Festival costumes, a pet, and an enchanted orb—players eager to become stronger will definitely be tempted to buy. And to stimulate spending, buy two sets and get a bonus booster pack containing Hearthstone and a booster. Buy three sets and get a rare costume synthesizer. Buy four sets and get a weapon costume. Buy five sets and get a halo. The more you buy, the more gifts you get. You'll also get Harvest Exchange Coins, which players can redeem for costume synthesizers, Hearthstone gift packs, or even +12 enhancement scrolls."
Thinking of this, Merlin excitedly slammed the table, "Damn! How come I'm so good at making money!"
He was pleasantly surprised to find that the recharge flow to the Arad continent was almost accounting for one-third of all the Chamber of Commerce's industrial profits, and was even about to approach one-half.
All he needs to pay is a little bit of soul power, which can be replenished by a good night's sleep.
"It's still the games that make money!" Merlin thought happily.
"By the way, the battle pass system should be launched as soon as possible. We should also hold a sign-in event for a month to give players some small favors to make them want to visit the continent of Arad."
The more Merlin thought about it, the more excited he became, and he couldn't help but laugh out loud.
However, the laughter stopped abruptly, and Merlin's brows suddenly furrowed. His eyes fell on his drawer, where there was a black letter.
He had seen this thing before; it was an invitation to the legendary mysterious chamber of commerce, the Shadow Alliance. "How did it suddenly appear in my room drawer?"
Merlin was shocked. "Damn it! My room was invaded and I didn't even notice it!"
Merlin stood up slowly with a gloomy face, paced around the room for a moment, thinking, and then sat back down.
"Since they didn't attack me, it means they don't have any serious ill intentions. Let's first see what this invitation is for."
He reached out, opened the envelope, and carefully looked at the letter inside.
The content of the invitation was simple. The Shadow Alliance wanted to invite Merlin to join and become one of its members, and there were no tests set.
But the condition is that Merlin needs to provide information related to the continent of Arad. In return, the Shadow Alliance will pay a corresponding price and help Merlin make money, etc.
After reading it, Merlin snorted disdainfully and threw the letter into the brazier next to him.
"It seems the Shadow Alliance has sensed the money-making potential of the Arad continent and wants to get involved. But how could I let someone else make that much money? As for the Shadow Alliance, what good can you gain from joining them? They're just a bunch of rats living in the dark. If you have the guts, come out and fight them openly."
Inside the dark palace, the Shadow Alliance’s meeting place.
The atmosphere was slightly oppressive. Sitting in the main seat, the Shadow Lord looked at the relevant materials about the Merlin Chamber of Commerce and sighed helplessly, "I was rejected again."
He looked at the information about Merlin's current status and position, and knew that the other party had grown up, and it would be impossible to suppress him.
Not to mention the number of gods around him...what a lucky kid.
Thinking of his compatriots being blocked outside the sky by the God of War, and thinking of the two unreliable guys, the Lord of Flesh and Blood and the Lord of Plague, the Lord of Shadow felt a headache.
He glanced at the other empty seats and couldn't help but sigh again, "It seems the plan has failed. It will be quiet for a few more years."
I thought that with the help of the Shadow Alliance, I could control the wealth of the Aize continent, obtain the elusive godhood, and gain the affirmation of the will of the Aize planet. But now it seems that I can't do it at the moment.
"However, this is just a test. We have plenty of time." A glint of determination flashed in the Shadow Lord's eyes. "It's just a period of silence. Sooner or later, the other party will reveal a flaw. That... throne known as the God of Wealth will be mine sooner or later! A new throne, a new godhead, and new rules!"
The Lord of Shadows thought so, as if he had already seen the moment when he ascended to the throne of God.
To control the wealth of the world and achieve the unprecedented position of the God of Wealth, this is the original intention of the Lord of Shadow to establish the Shadow Alliance.
In the grand blueprint of the Lord of Shadows, by controlling the wealth of the Aize continent, one can step closer to the supreme throne, rewrite the godhood and rules, and create his own [invasion] path.
However, the appearance of Merlin was like a huge rock blocking the road, forcing the plan to be shelved indefinitely.
But the Lord of Shadows was not in a hurry. Over the endless years, he had the patience to wait for the opportunity, waiting for Merlin to reveal a flaw.
At the same time, inside the Merlin Chamber of Commerce, everything was busy and orderly as usual.
Scarlett was once again dragged away by Garant without explanation. After all, the Chamber of Commerce still had a lot of construction matters that needed her help.
Garant is impetuous and always can't wait to drag Scarlett to solve various problems.
Yuna stood quietly beside Merlin, organizing the documents in an orderly manner. Each document passed through her slender fingers and was neatly classified and placed.
Stacey was skillfully brewing tea. Hot water poured into the teapot, the tea leaves tumbled, and the fragrance of tea filled the air, adding a leisurely atmosphere to the slightly busy room.
The message of Chris and Fate appeared on the communication crystal, asking Merlin if he wanted to go to the cafeteria to buy breakfast.
Merlin raised his head and glanced at the dawn outside. The morning light shone through the window onto his face, reflecting the excitement and anticipation in his eyes.
"A new day has begun, and it's time to start a new day of making money!"
As expected, money is something that you can never have too much!
This book ends here, and while it might seem a bit anticlimactic, I've actually conceived it as a prequel. Merlin travels here and changes the continent of Azer. As time passes, and for various reasons, the Ancient Gods invade once again. While Azer triumphs, it's a bitter victory. The world is tainted by the Ancient Gods, and magical skills and alchemical traditions have largely vanished. The Church of the Ancient Gods holds sway over the continent, leaving magicians persecuted and learning mostly Old God-tainted magic. A new protagonist travels here and saves Azer. I'd like to make Merlin into a companion grandfather or system, helping the protagonist grow, but I'm not sure when I'll write that, haha.
