Chapter 791 The Power of Pieces

Andersen had no time to react before his body was cut into pieces in an instant, and blood splattered on the surrounding walls. The scene was extremely bloody.

Andersen's brain was shaking wildly, and a look of disbelief appeared on his face.

"What kind of power is this that can actually harm the body of a god?" He was filled with shock and unwillingness. He could never have imagined that the divine body that he was so proud of would be harmed by the magic of the woman in front of him.

Just when everyone thought Andersen had collapsed, his left eye flashed with a golden-red light again, and the light spread out like a substance. Under the enveloping light, his shattered body instantly reunited, and the wounds healed rapidly, leaving no trace of injury.

When Andersen saw what he was doing, Andor's eyes flickered with a strange luster, and he whispered in admiration: "Is this the true body of the God of War? It's really amazing."

Andersen looked at the large number of weapons that attacked again, gritted his teeth, and knew in his heart that a head-on confrontation was not a good idea.

His body suddenly disappeared, and when he reappeared, he had come to the side of Vice President Jenny like a ghost.

He clasped his hands together, raised them high, and then smashed them hard on Vice Dean Jenny's head. This blow condensed all his anger and unwillingness, and was determined to deal a heavy blow to Vice Dean Jenny.

Vice Dean Jenny seemed to have anticipated this. She raised her hand and a huge steel wall instantly appeared above her head, blocking Andersen's fist.

The fist collided with the steel wall with a loud noise, and the powerful impact caused the surrounding air to vibrate.

Immediately afterwards, a large number of steel spikes instantly extended from the steel wall, like a bunch of sharp thorns, stabbing towards Andersen.

But the next second, Andersen disappeared from the spot again.

When he appeared again, he came behind Vice President Jenny.

However, this time Andersen did not attack, but looked at Jenny with fear on his face.

Jenny didn't even turn around, but asked coldly: "What's wrong? Didn't you say you would use your ultimate power to suppress me? Don't you look down on magic? Then why did you use space magic?"

Andersen's face flushed, and he said stubbornly, "Without any protection, relying solely on the flesh to cross space is also a manifestation of ultimate strength."

Although his voice was firm, his heart was already beginning to waver.

Vice Dean Jenny sneered disdainfully and said sarcastically, "Oh? Really? Then what other tricks do you have? Are you planning to run around like a cockroach? Is it just to annoy people?"

Andersen's face turned even redder, he lowered his head, his face full of unwillingness.

His heart was shaken. "This shouldn't be right. This shouldn't be the case. How could my power be so weak? I possess a body comparable to that of a god, the magical power of a legendary wizard, an awakened Eye of the God of War, and powerful divine power. How could I be so weak?"

He was struggling painfully in his heart. Hundreds of years of hard work and countless efforts seemed to be questioned at this moment.

"What is the value of all the efforts I have made over the past few hundred years?"

Andersen covered his face, his heart filled with confusion and pain. "I'm wrong. Something must be wrong. It's definitely not my fault!"

He kept shouting in his heart, trying to find an answer that he could accept.

Vice Dean Jenny stared at Andersen closely. As a legendary wizard who had emerged from a sea of blood and corpses, she had an extremely keen sense of power.

She clearly realized that Andersen possessed terrifying physical fitness, and his body contained a surge of powerful magic and divine power.

This power is like a giant iceberg hidden under the deep sea. It looks calm, but in fact it contains enough energy to subvert everything. This is exactly what she has always feared.

On the surface, Vice Dean Jenny seemed to be handling the situation with ease, and each attack seemed effortless, as if she was carrying out a one-sided massacre.

However, only she herself knew that she was giving her all in every move.

Even though she had cut Andersen into pieces, he actually did not suffer any fatal injuries and was still standing there intact.

Vice Dean Jenny was secretly amazed, feeling that Andersen showed no signs of weakness. If it were someone else, they would have been seriously injured and on the verge of death after suffering such a severe injury.

Even those extremely powerful guys in the Ancient God Cult are not as difficult to deal with as Andersen in front of him.

In her eyes, Andersen was like an ignorant child holding a big knife. Although he held great power, he didn't know how to use it.

In terms of combat, Andersen lacks the kind of indomitable momentum. He always looks ahead and behind, thinking about dodging and protecting himself, so that his powerful strength cannot be fully utilized.

Merlin was equally puzzled and couldn't help but ask Selene, "Is the gap between legendary wizards so huge?"

Selene nodded and patiently explained, "Of course, the term 'Legendary Archmage' is just one realm, and it doesn't fully represent combat prowess. Your Vice-President is clearly a genius who has emerged from countless battles, having weathered life-or-death trials, and has mastered the use of power and combat techniques to perfection. As for your ancestor, while also a gifted genius, his upbringing must have been quite smooth, and his foundation was not solid. His current realm is likely 'built up' by various external forces."

She paused, then continued, "Even until now, all the power he possesses has been pieced together over time. Take his body, for example. It's not much different from the one the Lord of Flesh and Blood brought forth, yet the Lord of Flesh and Blood can unleash the full power of that body, while he can't. This is because he lacks the mentality of a strong person, the courage and fearlessness to forge ahead, and all the qualities that a 'God of War' should possess!"

Selene's gaze was profound as she spoke slowly, "To control a divine body, one must possess a matchingly strong mind—a strength in spirit and soul. Otherwise, even with a divine body, the power one can unleash will only be one-tenth or one-twelfth of its full potential."

Merlin opened his mouth in surprise and asked, "Is Andersen's body actually a true divine body?"

Selene smiled slightly and said, "A god's body isn't as unattainable or powerful as you imagine. Aside from a very small number of gods who focus on tempering their bodies, the bodies of most gods are actually just barely satisfactory."

Merlin frowned and corrected him, "'Passable' means it doesn't fully meet expectations, but it's acceptable and doesn't cause disappointment or dissatisfaction. It doesn't mean it's terrible."

Selene nodded and smiled. "That's right, that's exactly what I meant. After all, it's the body of a god. Even if it's not incredibly powerful, it's definitely much stronger than a legendary wizard."
