Big Capitalist
Chapter 680 Sigma (5)
A soft knock on the door broke the silence in Sigma's room.
Sigma was lying in bed, lost in thought. When he heard the voice, he immediately sat up straight and asked loudly, "Who is it?"
From the door came the clear voice of my younger sister Betty: "Brother, it's me."
When Sigma heard this, he immediately stood up, walked to the door and opened it.
Sigma looked at his lovely sister in front of him, smiled and asked, "Betty, why are you here so late?"
Betty smiled and threw herself into Sigma's arms, saying coquettishly, "Do you miss me, brother? Seeing how handsome I have become, I am so happy for you."
Sigma rubbed Betty's little head lovingly. Although Betty was born to the eldest lady, she had the best relationship with him, her half-brother.
Sigma was not favored in this family since he was a child, but Betty always respected her brother and took good care of him in her daily life.
Sigma looked at Betty, who was wrapped in bandages. His eyes fell on her patched eyes, and he couldn't help but ask distressedly, "Betty, what's wrong with you?"
Betty subconsciously dodged Sigma's gaze when she heard his question, but only for a moment. Then she smiled and turned around, saying, "This is for treatment. Look, brother, does my face look much better?"
Sigma rubbed Betty's head again and said gently, "My sister is always the most beautiful."
Betty smiled happily, then threw herself on the bed and changed the subject, "Brother, tell me about your life at the Arcane Academy."
Betty was really curious. After all, she had never been out of Count Prucker's territory, and the outside world was full of unknowns and yearnings for her.
Sigma smiled and began to reminisce, "Arcane Academy, it was really boring at the beginning. You know, your brother was really ugly back then and wasn't popular at all in the academy. Not to mention there was a super handsome guy in the class."
"Super handsome guy?" Betty asked with a puzzled look.
Sigma nodded and said, "He's just really good-looking. That person is Merlin. Every time someone compliments Merlin's face, they compare him to mine. It really piss me off."
Betty's eyes lit up and she said, "Merlin, is that the Merlin who filmed Cinderella?"
Sigma nodded and said, "Yes, that's him, the one from the Leo family. Before Merlin rose to prominence, someone paid me to monitor him. Although I don't know who that person is, he was quite generous. I just need to write to that person to inform him of Merlin's daily situation."
Betty said in surprise, "My brother is actually a stalker."
Sigma spread his hands helplessly and said, "I can't help it. I'm short of money. You know my father and his family don't like me, and the living expenses they give me are too little. Before Merlin reformed the academy, it was not enough to spend."
Sigma waved his hand and continued, "Let's not talk about that guy anymore. Let me tell you about other things in the academy, such as the new delicacies, the Warcraft Mountain incident, the explosion in the high-end dormitory, and the academy reforms..."
When Sigma said this, his expression suddenly froze, as if something was wrong. Although he had agreed not to mention Merlin, everything he said was related to Merlin and there was no way to avoid it.
But Betty was very excited when she heard it. There was a gleam in her eyes and she fantasized about living in the Arcane Academy.
But soon, her eyes dimmed again. She knew that it was impossible.
Sigma spoke until midnight, talking about his entrepreneurial history in the Arcane City, and now he is the head of the Human Resources Department, with a large factory under his management and thousands of people as his employees.
The Lord of Plague was listening on the side and wanted to complain that those people were actually his believers.
After hearing what Sigma said, Betty's face was full of envy, and she thought to herself that it was really great that her brother had become like this.
Then she stood up from the bed, raised the small magic lamp, and said, "It's getting late, brother, I should go back to bed. By the way..."
Sigma looked at his sister. Betty hesitated for a moment, then turned around and said, "Brother, if there's nothing else, let's go back to the academy."
Sigma was stunned when he heard Betty's words, and asked in confusion: "Betty, don't you want your brother to come back and accompany you?"
"No, that's not what I mean. I mean..." Betty was about to say something when another voice suddenly rang out.
"I was wondering why I couldn't find my sister. Turns out you're here. What are you talking about?" The second young master, Tennyson, quietly walked out from the darkness.
Betty's face turned pale instantly, obviously frightened.
Sigma frowned, looked at his second brother, and said coldly: "Why are you hanging around outside my room instead of going to bed? I want to talk to my sister about my life in college."
"College life? That must be very interesting. I want to hear about it too." Tennyson said with a smile.
"There's nothing much to say. I'm going to sleep!" Sigma really dislikes his elder and second brothers.
The eldest brother liked to beat him since he was a child and advocated violence; the second brother was more insidious and always stabbed him in the back. All the bad things he did as a child were blamed on him.
Tennyson's smile froze and his face darkened.
Sigma looked at Tennyson and said bluntly, "I still like your expression. It doesn't look fake. If you don't like me, don't pretend. It's useless to me. I want to sleep. Get out of here!"
Betty took this opportunity to quietly slip away. Tennyson, however, did not get angry but smiled, took a step forward, and was about to say something.
Sigma waved his hand casually, and the thick oak door slammed shut, hitting Tennyson in the face.
Ding Nisheng felt the pain, holding his nose, staring at the angry, tightly closed door. He kicked it hard with his foot, thinking to himself: What's going on? My useless little brother has actually learned to rebel? He's only been at the Arcane Academy for a little over a year, and his temper has improved.
If it were the Sigma of the past, he would have swallowed his anger, been cowardly, timid and inactive.
But now Sigmar, perhaps because of the influence of the Lord of Plague, his temper is no longer the same as before.
It must be the Lord of Plague!
The Lord of Plague listened to Sigmar's inner voice and couldn't help rolling his eyes, secretly complaining: What do you think is my fault? This is all your own change, okay?
He understood human beings too well. In the past, Sigma was ugly, poor, had no status, was weak and had little ability. How could he not be inferior and cowardly?
Sigma is now handsome and has thousands of people under him. Because of His help, he has become stronger, has status and money, and naturally he can stand up straighter.
