Conferred Gods: Master Tongtian is my master

Chapter 8 Two people talk freely, Luo Shu offers advice

After waiting for a while, I heard a sound coming from outside the door, and saw Wen Zhong walking in.

"Brother, I have already asked the servants to prepare the wine and food. I am here to invite you to move to the front hall."

Wen Zhong bowed to Luo Shu and told him.

"Junior brother, you are too polite. You can just ask the servants to come and inform us. Why bother coming here in person?"

"I haven't seen you for a long time, how can I let the servants come to treat you, please come with me to the front hall to eat and chat."

After saying this, Wen Zhong stretched out his right hand, made a gesture of invitation, and asked Luo Shu to go out first.

"In that case, I will go ahead of you, Junior Brother. I'll trouble you to show me the way."

After Luo Shu finished speaking, he walked towards the door and stepped out.

Wen Zhong followed closely behind, talking with Luo Shu as they walked.

"Junior brother, your courtyard is decorated very elegantly, which doesn't quite match your image!"

"Haha, Senior Brother is right. This courtyard really doesn't suit me. This is the mansion bestowed by the King. The decorations and ornaments inside were there after I came in. Besides, a cultivator shouldn't care about material possessions."

Luo Shu laughed softly:

"Junior brother, what you said is very true. People who practice Taoism pursue the great way and transcend the mundane world. There is really no need to care about these things."

As they talked, they came to a spacious, bright and neatly decorated room.

In the center is a wooden dining table and chairs. The elegant carvings and intricate carvings give people a sense of ancient charm.

Even before getting close, the aroma of delicious food filled my nostrils.

Luo Shu walked forward and took a look. The table was filled with all kinds of delicious food. From the colors to the aroma, it was full of endless temptations.

I thought to myself, "The ancients were not wrong. Since ancient times, the only thing that cannot be wasted is delicious food."

Even though he had been in the prehistoric world for some time and usually ate immortal roots and spiritual fruits to improve his cultivation, he would still secrete saliva when he saw human food again, especially the delicious food with good color and fragrance.

Wen Zhong welcomed Luo Shu and sat in the main seat, while he sat in the seat on the left.

"Brother, you must have not eaten human food for a long time. Try it quickly and see how good the chef in my house is."

As he spoke, he served food to Luoshu.

Luo Shu picked up the chopsticks, picked up a piece of chicken and put it into his mouth. The taste of the chicken was obviously much lighter than in later generations, but it also had a unique flavor.

Looking back at later generations, there are many different seasonings and the food they make is also varied.

Nowadays, we are in the Shang Dynasty and the seasonings are monotonous. Being able to make such delicious food shows that the chef’s skills are worthy of a thumbs up.

After chewing the food in his mouth, Luo Shu said:

"It tastes good. It makes people want to eat more. The chef in your house is very skilled."

When Wen Zhong heard Luo Shu's words, the corners of his mouth rose and he smiled:

"Brother, what you said is absolutely right. I rescued this cook when I went to war to quell the rebellion. I had been planning to follow the lifestyle of ordinary people, and three meals a day are essential. It just so happens that he can cook, so I will keep him in my house. I never thought that he would be an expert in cooking."

"From the tone of Junior Brother's voice, it seems that he has eaten a lot of earthly food!"

"Brother is right. Apart from socializing, I have to have three meals a day. The chef is good at cooking. Sometimes I take him with me when I go to fight against rebellions."

Luo Shu laughed and said:

"Alright, alright, Junior Brother, don't get too caught up in worldly matters and remember to practice."

After hearing Luo Shu's instructions, Wen Zhong hurriedly expressed his opinion.

"Brother, rest assured. Apart from matters in the court, I have been practicing all the time and have never forgotten."

"Junior brother, don't be so nervous. Let's eat and talk at the same time."

After saying that, he picked up another piece of chicken and put it in his mouth, muttering to himself: This chef’s cooking skills are really good, it’s delicious.

Wen Zhong also picked up his chopsticks and started eating.

As the two of them spoke less during their meal, I realized how delicious the food in front of them was.

After three rounds of drinks, half of the dishes on the table were gone.

Wen Zhong wiped his mouth and said:

"Brother, why did you leave the island? And come to Chaoge City again? Is there something going on?"

Let's get back to the topic. Luo Shu looked at Wen Zhong and said:

"Since I left Jin'ao Island, I have been heading south, looking for an opportunity to break through the bottleneck. Although there have been some twists and turns along the way, it has been good overall. As for coming to Chaoge City, seeing you was part of the reason, and part of the reason was to offer advice."

Luo Shu thought about it and realized that the human race today is still very backward, and many things of later generations have not appeared yet, so why not take this opportunity to make some things appear in the world in advance.

This idea suddenly came to Luo Shu during the meal. He also knew that some things would cause a sensation once they appeared in the world.

For example, "the four treasures of the study, gunpowder, printing, papermaking, etc."

Any one of them would be enough to boost the Shang Dynasty's fortunes for a hundred years.

It was precisely because of this that Luo Shu was thinking about whether he should improve the fortunes of the Shang Dynasty for a few hundred years before King Zhou ascended the throne and the Conferred God Ceremony began.

Although Jiejiao was not the state religion of the Shang Dynasty, many of its disciples served in the Shang Dynasty and used the Shang Dynasty's fortune to help them practice.

This can also be considered as indirect help to the disciples of Jiejiao.

After hearing what Luo Shu said, Wen Zhong asked:

"I don't know what you mean by offering advice, brother? If you need my help, just ask me."

"Junior brother, the strategy I offer is extraordinary. It is beneficial to Da Shang and even the entire human race. It can even promote the progress of the entire human race."

Wen Zhong was shocked when he heard this. It would have been fine if his senior brother hadn't said anything, but when he did, he made a big splash.

According to his understanding, his eldest senior brother was busy practicing and had never cared about the affairs of the human race.

Although the eldest senior brother was born into the human race like himself, he had not lived among the human race for a few years, not as long as himself, so he was taken back to the island by the master to practice.

How could he do something that would affect the human race? Wen Zhong couldn't figure it out, so he asked:

"Brother, can you explain it in detail?"

Seeing Wen Zhong's puzzled look, Luo Shu thought, "If it was your previous senior brother, he might have just been a cannon fodder smaller than a one-carat diamond during the catastrophe. But now your senior brother is a man who holds the system and is famous in the prehistoric world."

"Junior brother, from now on, you can't tell outsiders what I said, do you understand?"

Wen Zhong immediately stood up after hearing this and said to Luo Shu:

"I, Wen Zhong, swear to the Heavenly Dao that I will never tell anyone else what my senior brother said. If I break my oath and my cultivation stagnates, the Heavenly Dao will bear witness to it!"

Heaven is sensitive and has tacitly approved the oath made by Wen Zhong. If one day Wen Zhong really breaks his oath, Heaven will punish him.

Luo Shu didn't expect Wen Zhong to directly swear the Heavenly Oath. One must know that the Heavenly Oath cannot be made casually. Even if one does not violate the oath, one will still be entangled by a trace of karma.

If a person has too much karma, not only will his cultivation stagnate, he may even die.

"Junior brother, how could you discover the Heavenly Dao oath? How can I not trust you? Do you know the consequences of making an oath?"

Looking at Luo Shu who was speaking anxiously in front of him, Wen Zhong felt a warm feeling in his heart, knowing that his senior brother really believed in him.

"Brother, don't worry. I am bound to the fate of the Great Shang Dynasty. A little bit of karma is not worth mentioning. Brother, please tell me what's going on."

Seeing Wen Zhong's indifferent expression, Luo Shu said helplessly:

"Junior brother, you must remember not to make random Heavenly Dao oaths, otherwise, you will be punished to chant Huang Ting Jing a thousand times."

"I know, I know. Brother, please tell me quickly."

"The idea I proposed is called [papermaking]. Once this technique is invented, it can accelerate the spread of writing, expand cultural exchanges, and promote the progress of human civilization."

After saying this, Wen Zhong looked at Luo Shu in shock. He felt that the papermaking technique that Luo Shu mentioned would really affect the development of the human race.
