The next day, after Wen Zhong finished his court session, he reported the matter of the Luoshu to King Zhou in Longde Hall.

At this time, King Zhou had a good character and was busy with state affairs. He devoted himself to handling government affairs, worked hard for state affairs, and worried about the people.

Upon hearing about Luo Shu's talent, he was immediately appointed as a senior official, who allowed him to skip court meetings and dispose of his time freely. If manpower and material resources were needed, all departments would fully cooperate.

Wen Zhong took the official robes of the senior official, as well as the bronze ware, brocade, etc. rewarded by King Zhou, left the palace and returned to the Grand Tutor's Mansion.

Luo Shu looked at the reward in front of him without any emotion, and said to Wen Zhong:

"Junior brother, please give these fine items to the refugees in Chaoge City. We cultivators have no use for them."

"Yes, Brother, but let's replace these with grains and set up a porridge stall at the city gate to prevent looting!"

"Just follow what Junior Brother said and arrange for someone to manage it!"

"Yes, senior brother!"

After saying this, Wen Zhong called a servant and told him to pick out the gold and silver items, take them to the market, exchange them with the farmers, and set up a porridge stall.

Luo Shu waved his hand and shot out a spell, summoning Yuan Hong and others to arrange some matters.

After a while, Yuan Hong and others came to Luo Shu, bowed, and said in unison:

"Greetings to Master, greetings to Uncle Master!"

"Get up!"

"Thank you Master!"

Luo Shu raised his sleeves and lightly tapped the center of the eyebrows of Yuan Hong and others. A spell sank into his sea of consciousness.

"You will set out immediately to search for these crops all over the Shang Dynasty, uproot them, and bring them to Chaoge City!"

If modern people took a look at the images that appeared in the sea of consciousness of Yuan Hong and others, they would know that they were crops such as potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes, broad beans, yams, and taro.

Yuan Hong and others saw these things and asked:

"Master, what are these?"

"Look carefully and remember where they grow. These are edible. If you find them, at least the people won't go hungry!"

After hearing Luo Shu's words, Yuan Hong and others realized the importance of this matter and said in unison:

"Master, rest assured, we will do our best to find these things!"

"Well, the master believes in you, let's set off now!"

"Yes, Master!"

After saying that, Yuan Hong and the others turned into streams of light and flew out of Chaoge City in search of crops.

Wen Zhong, who was standing by, saw this and said:

"Brother, what are you asking them to look for? Do you need to send more people to look for it?"

"Junior brother, before I came to Chaoge, I observed the people's sentiments along the way and saw that many people couldn't even solve the basic problem of food and clothing. It was really disheartening!"

"You know, if you can't even get enough to eat, how can you talk about building a country? The most basic life needs of ordinary people are to have enough food and drink and not go hungry."

"Even if the problem of food and clothing is solved, there are still people who want to rebel. Therefore, before the country develops, the first priority is to solve the basic security problem of the people."

Upon hearing this, Wen Zhong nodded repeatedly to show his agreement. He often fought wars in the east and west, so he naturally knew the reasons for the rebellions in different places, which were all for living resources.

Luo Shu continued:

"So, I asked Yuan Hong and others to find a few crops. These are high-yield crops. If we find them and plant them widely, it will definitely solve the problem of food and clothing for the people!"

Wen Zhong's face lit up with joy when he heard this. He also knew how important these things would be to the Shang Dynasty if they were really edible.

"Brother, if that's the case, then send more people to look for them, or draw the shapes of these crops and have the soldiers take them to ask the farmers."

"They often grow crops, so maybe they have seen these things!"

After hearing Wen Zhong's words, Luo Shu changed his mind and felt that it was feasible.

"Brother, what you said makes sense. Where is the study? I will draw these crops and send more people to look for them!"

"Brother, follow me!"

After saying this, Wen Zhong took Luo Shu through the corridor, around the garden, and came to the study in the backyard.

Luo Shu took out pen, ink, paper and inkstone, circulated his spiritual power, and drew the crops he imagined in his sea of consciousness on the paper.

As for why I still use magic to paint, it’s because I’m clumsy. It’s hard for me to draw an apple, let alone these crops!

Wen Zhong was watching Luo Shu's paintings one by one. He picked up one at random and looked at the strange-shaped crops on it with a confused look on his face. Can this be eaten?

Luo Shu used magic to copy a bunch of paintings, handed them to Wen Zhong, and said:

"I've finished drawing, the rest is up to you!"

"Brother, rest assured. I will arrange for someone to inquire right away. If there is any news, I will come to you as soon as possible!"

After saying that, Wen Zhong took a stack of papers and went out, and arranged for people to look for the things drawn on the papers.

Luo Shu looked at Wen Zhong's departing back, drew a few more templates for movable type printing, turned to Xiao Bai and said:

"Xiaobai, follow me out of the house!"

"Yes, master, where are we going?" Xiaobai asked.

"Just walk around the streets of Chaoge City and see if there are any skilled carpenters!"

"What do you want the carpenter for?" Xiaobai asked again.

"Just follow along. There will naturally be things to do when you find a carpenter!"

"Hehe, I'm just curious!" Xiaobai scratched the back of his head and said innocently.

Luo Shu ignored this and walked out of the mansion, and Xiaobai hurriedly followed.

……

At the same time, at the foot of Kunlun Mountain, two streaks of light flashed by, and when the figures appeared, they were none other than Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra who had returned from Chentang Pass.

Just as the two were about to return to the cave to rest and then go to Yuanshi Tianzun to explain the situation, they saw the White Crane Boy coming towards them.

When the White Crane Boy saw Manjusri and Samantabhadra, he bowed and said respectfully:

"My two uncles, the Saint Master wants you to go to Yuxu Palace to pay your respects immediately!"

Upon hearing this, Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra knew that when they had just entered Kunlun Mountain, their master saw that only the two of them came back and knew that the trip was not going well, so he sent the two of them to report back!

Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra nodded, indicating that they understood.

Then two beams of fairy light flashed across the sky and flew towards the Yuxu Palace. Seeing this, the White Crane Boy hurriedly circulated his spiritual power and followed.

At this time, in Yuxu Palace, Yuanshi Tianzun was sitting on a cushion with a gloomy face.

When he saw that only Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra returned to Kunlun Mountain, he knew that their trip to recruit disciples was in vain.

How could Yuanshi Tianzun, who had always been successful, not be angry? Who were these villains who challenged him again and again? His disciples' destined targets were robbed repeatedly. Isn't this a slap in his face?

If I don't take any action, will the other party forget that I am one of the Six Saints appointed by Heaven and one of the Three Pure Ones?

Outside the hall, Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra arrived at the gate of Yuxu Palace and walked directly into the hall.

What caught their eyes was Yuanshi Tianzun, who had a serious face. The two hurried forward, knelt down and saluted, saying respectfully:

"Greetings, Master. May your presence be with you forever!"

Upon hearing this, Yuanshi Tianzun said angrily:

"Holy An! How can I be at peace if you two don't bring my apprentice back?"

"Tell me what's going on? What happened this time?"

Manjusri Bodhisattva signaled Samantabhadra to speak. Upon hearing this, Samantabhadra said bluntly:

"Master, my brother and I followed your orders and headed for Chentang Pass. After arriving at the General's Mansion, we explained our purpose to Li Jing. We never expected that his two sons had already been taken away!"

"My senior brother and I asked him to tell us who took in Jin Zha and Mu Zha, but Li Jing hesitated and didn't say who it was."

"My senior brother and I wanted to suppress him and force him to tell us who it was, but he didn't say anything. Perhaps he didn't even know that his son was accepted as a disciple by that immortal!"

"Since I can't get any information from you, I will go back to Kunlun Mountain with my brother. I want Master to see who is so presumptuous!"

Manjusri Bodhisattva echoed:

"Every word that Junior Brother said is true!"

Upon hearing this, Yuanshi Tianzun's expression became even gloomier. The destiny was in chaos and he couldn't figure out what was going on. It seemed that his next disciple would have to accept disciples earlier.

"You should withdraw now! Before the catastrophe begins, practice hard. If you meet a good disciple, accept him as your disciple."

"I will follow Master's orders. Master, goodbye!"

Manjusri Bodhisattva and Samantabhadra bowed again, then stood up and left Yuxu Palace, returning to their cave to practice.

Yuanshi Tianzun looked at the two people's disappearing backs and murmured to himself:

"Who is it? Go ask Big Brother!"

After saying that, he disappeared on the futon.
