Zhao Gongming was very angry about losing his two treasures. He whipped Xiao Sheng to death in a battle, and was ambushed by the Taoist Master Ran Deng and escaped. The Dinghai Divine Pearl was also presented to Ran Deng by Cao Bao, and finally became the treasure for Ran Deng to prove his Taoism.

When Zhao Gongming met the Taoist Lu Ya from West Kunlun, he was ambushed by Lu Ya, who used the "Seven Arrows Book" to shoot a villain, causing Jiang Ziya to cast a spell on him. His soul was gradually dispersed and he eventually died tragically. His soul was listed in the Conferred God List and he became the God of Wealth.

The Wuyi Mountain section is very brilliant in The Road to the Gods. If Zhao Gongming had not lost the Dinghai Divine Pearl and the Dragon Binding Rope, the final outcome might not have been on the list.
