God's Gift

Hundreds of years have flown by in the time tunnel, and Yu Youyou is still traveling in different oceans.

Lu Keming watched as she made many new friends and became as happy as she had been when her parents were alive, and he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

But the good times didn't last long. The atmosphere of the ocean gradually became strange, and the creatures in the water also became odd.

The shark grows two heads, the octopus is covered in tentacles, the grouper's bulging eyes are squeezed together, and the killer whale's huge head hangs down, preventing it from swimming back to the surface to breathe.

Tumors grow in the bodies of living organisms, constantly consuming their nutrients. Once the nutrients are depleted, the tumors rupture and rot, taking their lives.

This place is littered with the remains of lost lives.

As Yu Youyou watched her friends die one after another, she finally felt fear. She searched for the source of the mutation and eventually found the answer on land.

She tried to restore the ocean to its original state with her blessings, but as the marine life died, her divine power gradually diminished.

But she wasn't the only one whose divine power was diminished.

Wastewater is continuously discharged into the sea, where it evaporates into clouds, which then fall as rain onto the land.

The gods on land had already begun to weaken before this, so this was undoubtedly adding insult to injury.

Yu Youyou finally felt anger.

The tsunami submerged the island, and the earthquake claimed their lives.

But it was all too late; the seawater still reeked, and the lives lost could not be brought back to life.

Yu Youyou's skin was no longer smooth, and various skin diseases appeared one after another on her skin. The pain of sores kept her awake all day, and the rotting flesh smelled as foul as seawater.

She exuded the same deathly aura as the ocean.

Lu Keming stared in disbelief at everything before him. He watched lives die one after another, watched Yu Youyou covered in sores, watched her sink to the bottom of the sea in pain, letting out weak cries of sorrow.

But Lu Keming knew that all the pain he was experiencing was far less than one-tenth of what Youyou was actually feeling.

He raised his head, looking tremblingly at Yu Youyou, and reached out to touch her: "Youyou..."

He recalled what she had said: all the gods except her had perished, and she had fallen into a long slumber.

Is it because of these injuries?

The images on the walls of the time tunnel began to change rapidly. Lu Keming endured the pain and looked at the constantly changing images, trying to find the answer.

He saw pollution, destruction, disaster, and death. Amidst countless fragmented images, he finally saw a familiar red light descend upon the earth.

Dark Star?

Lu Keming watched as the dark star landed on the ground, and then the creatures on the planet mutated.

Lu Keming's expression vanished in an instant. He knelt in the cold tunnel, staring blankly at everything on the screen.

The Dark Star appeared at this time...

So what exactly caused the gods to perish?

Yu Youyou kept replaying the words he had said in her mind.

When he asked her why those gods perished, she simply replied that the demise of gods was a normal natural law; they would naturally perish when their time came.

Is it really?

For the first time, Lu Keming began to doubt what Youyou had said. These doubts took root in his heart and made him feel an uncontrollable panic.

Has Yoyo really never seen Dark Star?

The images on the time tunnel are still constantly changing.

As biological mutations spread, the gods on land soon sensed the presence of the Dark Star.

Lu Keming watched the gods go to stop Dark Star, watched them fight against Dark Star, and watched them get injured because they were no match for Dark Star.

Under the relentless attacks of the Dark Star, the gods' divine power was constantly being depleted.

They were on their last legs and died one after another.

Lu Keming's eyes were blank; the scene before him shattered his perception, leaving his mind a complete blank.

Why did Youyou lie to him?

What caused her to fall into a deep sleep?

These questions kept swirling in Lu Keming's mind, gripping his heart and making it almost impossible for him to breathe.

The feeling of suffocation made his mind go blank, and more and more tears rolled down his cheeks. He crawled forward on his knees, placing his hands on the images, and cried out helplessly:

"How could this be... how could this be?"

If gods perished because of the Dark Star, what about Youyou?

Why did she fall into a deep sleep?

Amid his panicked cries, Yu Youyou appeared on the battlefield.

"No..." Lu Keming stared at her retreating figure in disbelief, his voice trembling violently.

"Don't come here..."

No matter how much he shouted, Yu Youyou in the picture couldn't hear him.

The roaring seawater engulfed the land, and the raging wind and rain enveloped her and Dark Star. Lu Keming watched her fight to the death with Dark Star.

He watched as Yu Youyou gradually became exhausted, watched as Dark Star relentlessly attacked her body, and watched as she, like the other gods, teetered on the brink of death.

"No..." Lu Keming desperately pounded on the walls of the time tunnel, his hoarse cries echoing within. Panic and helplessness overwhelmed him, but he could only watch helplessly as her life slipped away.

She embraced Dark Star before she died.

Under Dark Star's horrified gaze, she tore her own body apart with her own hands.

Lu Keming's pupils dilated instantly, and the sound in his throat disappeared.

His soul seemed to detach from his body at that moment, floating and watching the scene from the sidelines.

After a long while, Lu Keming's body suddenly erupted with a roar of all his might:

"Pomelo!"

But he, outside of time, cannot change anything.

He watched as Yu Youyou's shattered body entwined around Dark Star, splitting Dark Star's body in two.

He watched as she tore the world apart.

Several cracks appeared in the sky, giving rise to countless small worlds like dividing cells.

Her body, dragging fragments of the Dark Star, fell into those fragmented little worlds.

Only her physical body remains in this world.

The seawater surged in overwhelmingly, submerging all the land, and life vanished in an instant.

Her soul, however, fell into a void.
